I just wanted to jump in here and say that Sign Language is one of the coolest things ever and I want to learn it!

I was at this housewarming party thing a few weeks ago and I was talking to a very nice dating couple who had been boyfriends for some time (it was a gay housewarming, everyone there was gay, as far as I know) and we were talking about languages, and they told me they had learned sign language together, just as a thing, neither of them were deaf (I guess one of them had a deaf roomate in college or something?) and when the party got really loud and it was hard to hear other people talk, they could still sign to each other from far away and nobody knew what they were saying! It was pretty adorable.

I was... very envious!

So I think after I learn French a little better I am going to try ASL is basically the point of this story!!!

Also how could you not want to learn a language that is SO POLITICALLY INCORRECT
