Another quick note: If you have read my other comic - A Beginner's Guide to the End of the Universe - do not expect the same insane rate of updates. I'm sorry but I don't think I can work at that pace again.

We are Chairman Jack. After intense deliberation and despite fierce opposition from the "destroy everything" bloc, we decided to attack the high priest at close range.

The enemy and our creator and ally have both disappeared. This is highly unlikely.

The "diligently follow orders" party moves that we quickly pursue the enemy. The motion carries almost unanimously. He cannot evade us forever.

Despite our speed, he is nowhere near. This is very odd.

We are unable to detect the presence of any object in the considerable range of our telescopic vision - with the obvious exception of the translucent sphere we have just emerged from, that is. It does not appear to be solid. We are united in the decision to conduct a rigorous scientific probe to determine the nature of the anomaly.



By which we mean we're going to shoot it, of course.

According to our records, we are located almost precisely between the two cities we have visited already - the capitals of the Commonwealth and the Followers of the Icosahedron.

Agreed, the best course of action by far would be to check in with those whom were on your side in the conflict, they should definitely have answers for you.

There's no question that the Everyman would prefer that we move to assist our allies rather than launch a pointless assault on our enemies without backup. We set a course for the Commonwealth, full speed.



It occurs to us that we may have been trapped in that distortion for some time. The battle is over. Given his condition, the Everyman may well be dead even if he prevailed. Since reality appears to persist, things cannot have gone too badly.

I -- that is, we -- must find out what has happened in our absence, and just how long that absence was.

He's got jetbird, humanoid and (spider?)tank forms. I don't think a tank would be any sneakier.
