Re: Current Dinosaur Comics Discussion Thread: CUSSIN'!

I usually tend to string a cuss and something else into one word, like so:

    Oh, shitbuckets.
"What? Funning? I never fun! I do not fun, and have no history of funning, and even if I were inclined to funning, I would not dream of funning with you."

I like to end mine with "monkeys."

    Oh shitmonkeys.

It has a more specific kind of effect or so I choose to believe.

I've been doing this for a while; sort of toning down my swearwords. It's cool -- I'm bringing back 'holy moley' and 'jeeze louise'.

On the note of no comic today, I am extremely sad that I'm not in Calgary. It's like they bunched up all the worlds most awesome people and shipped them to Calgary! I hope at least one of them show up at the Montreal Comic Con in September.

i wish i could say i had cute/clever swears like "what the lump" but i'm damned to forever be an australian so more often than not i swear like a convict who was on a boat for a few months and then went to work in a gold mine. its quite the challenge to stop doing it for this forum with all it's "rules".

but i do sometimes drop a "good grief" when things get tricky.

But it'll sound really charming and funny when you do it, like an angry little wallaby.

... yeah, we don't actually give a shit about swearing, just offensive terminology.

Is collosawesome supposed to sound clunkier than collawesome would have? I feel like I am failing to see your genius Mr North.

I'd personally pronounce both the same, but "Collosawesome" to me shows the merging of the two words more clearly than "collawesome" (colocated awesome, maybe?) does. Clearly: GENIUS?

This is the part when Maggie honks on the toy car horn.

Playing music in my mind is what saves my sanity when waiting in lines. I can only ever manage 2 instruments and vocals though. Not quite up to a full set.

Okay, show of hands, how many people got as far as the first sentence and instantly thought "Happy Birthday"?
