No real need to spoiler, if someone's in this thread and hasn't finished CT I'd be very surprised. Though I suppose I could put a spoiler warning in the first post.

I've been bouncing around ideas of what to do with the shell! I've gone from everything from a giant matriorb - so basically the same thing he normally is, just with candy-corn spikes - to making it look like an animate Derse, with spires and towers instead of spikes. Phase Two (the "inner" Lavos that never got a specific name) is a mechanical version of Jackspers, and Phase Three Core is Bec Noir. Still haven't decided what to do with the Bits; a Green Sun and a Violet/Pink Sun (see: [S] Seer: Descend) might be good ideas. HHT might be workable, or an altered version of him - we'll need a regular HHT for the Trial scenes, after all.

Scratch I was actually considering putting in the place of the Motherbrain in 2300 AD. Still kinda iffy on that idea though.

also, I can just imagine Tatavros, instead of running away from the mountain with the Masamune, trying to fight and getting horribly beaten untill Aradia and crew rescue him. I can imagine him trying to get up and constantly being struck down, to "Depths of the Night".

EDIT: on a less related note, could anyone tell me how to beat Grand Gaia (on the Mountain of Woe) ? :P

EDIT2: also, wouldn't Dave make a better Frog, what with the broken sword and 'I am no hero' thing?

On the game hint: Specifics depend on your levels, skills, and gear, but the basics are get rid of one of the hands first thing; their combo is nasty. If you have high damage, get them both. Destroyed hands will be brought back (both at once if they're both gone) so if it takes time to get just one, spend the rest of the damage time on the head.
