It was really good. Like, in terms of writing quality and characterization and stuff. It sounded like a real person's hard-won relationship experiences. I guess I'll give a TL;DR in a spoiler, and I really encourage you to read at least the one of them that sounds most interesting.

Equius is bad at emotions, so all he knows is: I Nepeta really hard, but it's not going well. I Gamzee OMG! And ... ???? Tavros what? But we know more:

He feels like he's drifting apart from Nepeta, but he doesn't know how to fix it. He pities her SO STRONGLY that he thinks it would freak her out, so he forces himself to get more distant instead.

He hates Gamzee because he's watched Gamzee's slow decline, and because Equius is afraid that he's becoming addicted to sopor himself.

Equius doesn't know what's going on with Tavros, because he's afraid to think that a high-blood like Tavros could pity him (even though Tavros already 's Gamzee). Also, he's afraid to admit that he could pity Tavros (for being weak, dependent, generous, and submissive). Also, Equius is still a creepy fuck, and really wants to dom a high-blood.

I guess the repeated phrasing ("you do not acknowledge, etc.") might make it seem a bit harder to read, but it really does make the emotional impact stronger.
