Quite possibly the weirdest AU ever

Crossposting the concept from the crossdress/genderbend thread:

Ordinary young men save little orphan girls and obtain the power to transform into them magical girl style. They also get elemental powers.

Tavros saves a young Vriska from a 8ad 8r8k and gets light powers.
Eridan saves Feferi from a shark attack and gets water powers.
Sollux saves Aradia from a burning building and gets fire powers.
Karkat saves Kanaya and gets earth powers (Haven't decided from what)
Equius saves Nepeta and gets air powers (Ditto)

Terezi is a receptionist aspiring to become an attorney, as well as Karkat's potential love interest.

Gamzee is a villain trying to steal the girls and gain their powers.

That's pretty much it. The only input I really plan on taking is what Kanaya and Nepeta are saved from (It has to do with their powers), as well as what to do with this. I'm thinking of making the concept into an OVA of some sort. Possibly even a fan adventure.

So, input and feedback, go.

These are the only things I could think of for earth/air that would be dangerous.

then she goes grimdark and dies

Hi!

I think Equius should be the runt of the pack, even though he is still strong. He would be near as young as some of the older orphans, kind of and why not make him a lowblood?

Nepeta is hunting a huge beast near a cliff. She misses an attack and gets swiped off the cliff by the beast's tail falling to her death, where Equius sees the girl about to die. He STRONGjumps into the air and catches her. as he STRONGlands, Nepeta says,

"Oh, uh, I...I think I want to be in Matespurrit with you, mister,"

And kisses him, Equius sweating like mad. Equius then gets powers.
