I don't know much about computery stuff like that, but I think the cards get punched in 64-bit, not hexidecimal. And yeah, I'm really looking forward to when the ponies will finally get to start alchemizing stuff.

Yeah the code could actually be called a base 64 number, but what ends up punched on the card is the binary equivalent of that base 64 number. It's basically used to make an item's code more compact so that a 48 digit code can be squeezed into 8 digits.

I can't wait to see what sort of stuff they're gonna put together too. I really wanna get to the kernalsprite prototyping though. That's gonna be fun.

I'm liking this Pinkie Pie recursion box idea. In addition to being surprised, she also finds it in the crawlspace of the Patisserie, led there by a map left in an old as dirt cookbook given to her by her grandmother. Also, Pinkie is wearing a captain's hat/bandanna to stay in character.
