Okay guys, here it is! The official thread for the collaborative Sburb OST fan music album!

The idea behind this is to make an album of songs that you'd expect to find on the Sburb install disk, ideally in the order that they'd appear in-game.

Here is our current plan, as outlined by melodiousDiscord:

Phase 0: Assemble artists (musical and artistic alike?)
Phase 1: Auditions and judging who will be on the team
Phase 2: Planning and choosing songs
Phase 3: First drafts
Phase 4: Decide on track list; recruit artists for album art
Phase 5: Finish songs and artwork, make hosting preparations, collect commentary for PDF booklet
Phase 6: Send songs to whoever is mastering
Phase 7: Upload to hosting
Phase 8: Propagation and spreading the word!

Phase 8 will continue indefinitely

The Skaia Theme might have a similar layering effect, as new players enter and the shape grows more complex. And we've seen in the flash game with John that there are musical combo attacks; a few of those might be interesting, though there are zillions of potential combinations based on the players' affinities.

I'd like to try my hand at the theme for reaching God Tier, if that's alright.

Also added a Theme for a Dead Timeline, not that I'd write it. Fact is, I added it because I probably won't.

I'd love to call dibs on the Universe Creation theme if I'm allowed at this point

Audition material is here, it's a bunch of songs clipped into 30 second increments . Also there's this Atomyk Ebonpyre remix which I haven't actually released anywhere yet due to it being still a WIP. If you need any more examples of what I can do, just ask.

EDIT: Just remade an old song of mine which could work well for the main menu, seeing as it takes inspiration from the Chrono Trigger intro. The Note Desolation Plays.

Alright, Otakon is going to keep me really busy this weekend. I'll spend Monday listening to all of your auditions, and I'll make all further announcements about who's on the team by mid-week. I'm really glad you guys are all so into this!

I would be up for a collaborative thing, since I usually have more fun remixing songs than coming up with original stuff. Also, Nucleose would probably be interested in this, but he's out of town right now... would you mind holding off on making final decisions for a few days until he gets back?
