DAY ONE: A GREY DAWN

The Krimmer army has slaughtered the majority of the inhabitants of Irorhapor, but you nineteen are a special case.

Whether through the skill of your resistance or through the reputation that proceeds your name or whichever manner, you have been deemed worthy of a chance to prove yourself to these foreign invaders.

When the sun rose over the city that day, you all awoke in the middle of the bazaar, beneath the looming obelisk. One of the Knights of Krimm stood before you, a scarred stumpy man in a motley collection of armor.

"ALRIGHT, UP WIT YA!", he snapped. You got to your feet, and noticed that of the people there, you could not have given a description of anyone except the Knight. Faces, shapes, features of everyone gathered faded into forgetfulness, blurred in your mind past recognition.

"Right then," the Knight continued, "ye lot are what's left of this pathetic city. The rest have been either killed or removed until our little test here is through. Those of ye who survive will be made of just the right stuff to be conscripted into the army."
A twisted grin crossed his face. "Whether ye like it or not."

"Now," he went on, "ye are not all prisoners. Some among ye are agents and friends of Krimm. So, me and my men will be outside the gates, and ye just send us one person every day, and we'll end 'em real quicklike. And that's the test. Or, at least, all ye need to know about it."

He smiled his toothy grin as he turned on his heel and walked towards the gates.

"Get to it, and don't even think about escaping now! We have eyes everywhere! Huhaha!"
