LOHVAR'S SMITHY

Lohqua--and now Varnak--'s stall was practically dead center in the smithing section of Tiderot's open marketplace. It also happened to be the largest one [If she didn't outright own it, she would have been kicked out in favor of a higher blood long ago, but she'd bought it when this section of the market was just starting up.], mixed metal and wood with thick anti-theft shutters currently retracted. The front had their symbols painted on it in anonymous black, the door into the almost-permanent building wide open for the night. More metal is set up in the small storage space behind the forge, and one corner sports nothing but a table - carefully made chain and a pad of paper [with red pencil and gold pen] on it - and a curtain, tied back for now, though the purpose is clear - that's where she takes measurements. Two display suits of armor, one assembled, the other spread out piece-by-piece, are set out along the right side of the forge. On the left side are weapons, a mix of Lohqua's and Varnak's, arranged carefully. Finally, along the front of the stall, is the jewelery, set in locked glass cases to make it that much harder to steal the delicate pieces. There are three noticiable stains on the hardwood floor of the stall. One teal, one red, and one green.

Hello and welcome to a new open-rp thread. I [Tluthal] and my partner in crime here, Tekkenfreak4, have teamed up to bring you LohVar's Smithy. As you can probably guess, [especially if you just read that description up there!] this is a smithy. We intend to be a bit more organized than the Cafe, but this is still a place to come and hang out! Just expect grumpy shopkeepers to kick you out if your character doesn't seem to be buying anything.

So let's get some rules up - I really feel I shouldn't have to say these, but let's get them out of the way just in case. Okay? :D

1) No Godmoding, Powerplaying, or Metagaming. That is, no invincible characters, no controling any characters but your own, and no using OOC information IC. Doing any of these violates the Yes Respect rule, and you will get one warning and a chance to change it. If it happens again, your post will be reported.
2) No Dicking Around. While you're welcome to have your character come in and check things out, this area isn't a 'come sit down and dick around' area like the Cafe - you can come chat up the owners, but again, we're running a business here. If you manage to trip the dicking off sensor you will be warned, and if the behavior continues you will be blacklisted.
3) No dicking around either. This is not a brothel. It is a smithy. Please be courteous to your fellow rpers and take your amorous advances to PMs. That aside we are happy to cater to matching items for couples - just keep the makeouts/hatesnogging out of here unless you want an ingot to the head.
4) Listen to the thread mods. That's Tluthal and Tekkenfreak4 right now, but might expand if this gets big.
5) Ignore the Blacklisted. If someone is on the blacklist, ignore their posts.
6) Keep the fighting to a bare minimum. You get two posts of fighting each before you get kicked out of the shop. If fight posting continues after that your posts will be reported. [Yes Respect strikes again!]
7) Above all, have a good time! These rules are to ensure everybody has a good time. If you're not, let us know and we'll see what we can do to help!

A somewhat robed figure comes in at 6ft. The robe itself is black and their symbol is hidden, they are also wearing a hood to cover up their face. The only thing that can clearly be seen of their face are fins and their horns. This troll also has black pants and shoes with the same color as a seadweller. He walks in glancing around the shop, as he has been here once before. Though it seems..new and upgraded in a way. They wait around to be serviced.

Said figure looks down and smirks a bit. He's surprised the troll hasn't recognized him. He holds out a hand for a handshake.

∃>Really now Varnak, I'm surprised you haven't recognized me.<E ∃>I'm sorry to say that I've lost the sword you made me though.<E

Yes, said robed figure is Mantra. He's just hiding his face due to the recent burning/electricity attack he suffered last time.

Yep, handshake completed. Then Mantra sets his arm back to his side.

∃>I suppose you have not been to the cafe recently.<E ∃>It is stuck to the cafe floor similar to that of the blade in the rock.<E ∃>I tried pulling it out, but I am not STRONG enough.<E ∃>It needs to be retrieved, likely by someone I know and can trust rather than someone looking for a free weapon.<E

It can't be seen unless Varnak is looking right at Mantra's face, but he's frowning. Bad memories.

A blueblood wearing a black hoodie walks into the smithy, eyeing the various weapons. He notices the shopkeeper in conversation with another customer, and decides to wait. In the meantime, he sifts around the weapons, attempting to find a servicable shotgun.

Hmm... My 7elekinesis could dislodge 7he weapon... Bu7... I go77a s7ay a7 7he shop for now, Lohqua is doin'.... some7hin'.... Hell I don'7 fuckin' know. She doesn'7 7ell me 7oo much. Haha! O7her 7han 7ha7, wha7 can I do for you, Man7ra?

Little did you know, AU Varnak is in the Cafe right now...

Mantra groans a bit, he didn't expect to be hearing that.

∃>Sorry but even with your..power, I'd like for it not to break.<E ∃>That, and you may overexert yourself in doing so, and you still need to heal.<E ∃>Lohqua may be able to do it...but if she isn't around..<E ∃>I'll probably think of something to buy..let me browse for now and let you deal with your..other guest.<E

And then Mantra went off to go idle and examine the armor. He's probably going to ask for some sharpening and polish or something, but he's not too sure yet.

"No, II'm afraiid not. Neiither of u2 work2 wiith gun2. Hello Mantra. 2orry about that, Var, II wa2 takiing care of a problem before iit got 2tarted here." Lohqua swept into the stall and behind the counter, hooking a stool over with one foot so she can take a seat on it and not be uncomfortably below the level of the counter.

Mantra perked up after hearing the voice of another friend?..acquaintance?.....troll he knows. He really doesn't know what to call Lohqua. He turned around and then walked over towards the counter since she was sitting behind it.

∃>Hello again Lohqua, though I did not say it yet, congratulations on the...merging of your business'.<E ∃>I'm guessing you did not hear about my problem since you were away taking care of your problem?<E

"II've made a few. They're horriibly iimpractiical a2 weapon2 go though. You might do better with a 2word or even 2ome kiind of polearm." Lohqua smiled kindly, then shrugged to Mantra.

"Thank you, and II diid mii22 that. What'2 up??" She shifted a little, favoring her right side.

A armored troll about 6' walks into the establishment and walks up to Varnak, waiting.

Mantra stares for a moment and then begins to retell what he needs done. He's also thought of what he needs done besides his sword retrieval.

∃>A sword Varnak made for me is currently stuck into the floor of the cafe and I can not take it out. It requires someone who is rather...STRONG...t0 retrieve it.<E ∃>Do you think you would be able to retrieve it for me?<E ∃>And thinking about it I think my old gauntlet requires a bit of a tune up.<E ∃>Sharpening, fixing up the scratches among other things, if that is possible as well?<E

Lohqua considered, wrapping one of the loose locks of hair around her finger. "Hmm, II c001d probably get iit out. Miight riip the 2tiitche2 though... Tune-up won't be a problem though. Ju2t a 2mall fee, of cour2e."

[Araiss]

Stitches? Oh right...she has that hole in the side. He wants that sword but..letting those reopen...

∃>Well it would be good to retrieve it..though I don't want your wound to reopen, I know how painful that can be.<E ∃>I will at least give you my gauntlet for now.<E

And then he said the name of his old gauntlet backwards and out it popped. He set it right on the counter, and besides it didn't leave him weaponless.
