Hello everyone, and welcome to a forum adventure set in an AU Alternia, starring Vriska as a master thief and many other characters, both familiar and new. Me (SunStealer) and AsuraChaos will be doing this as a team, with her providing the majority of the character art, me handling the animation, and us both tag-teaming the rest of the backgrounds and writing. This is our first time attempting a project like this, so hopefully it will be as fun for you, the readers, as it is for us. So start submitting commands and enjoy!

Your name is VRISKA SERKET, currently 10 sweeps old, and you are in SOMEONE ELSE’S HOUSE.
This is because you are a MASTER THIEF. You like to consider yourself the BEST THIEF in all of the Alternian Empire. Not some PETTY THIEF who only turns to crime because they don’t know what to do. You’ve had OTHER JOB OPTIONS, tried your hand at other things; you just didn’t enjoy them very much.
Although you are fairly new to the world of professional thievery. This is actually your FIRST REAL HEIST in what will hopefully be a long life of INTRIGUE, DECEPTION, and LUXURIOUS ITEMS that didn’t initially belong to you. But for right now, that 8-BALL over there is looking particularly intriguing… perhaps it would make a good memento of what will surely mark the beginning of your LONG and SUCCESSFUL career?

First you grab the 8-Ball. You just can’t resist any longer. You may have a slight UNHEALTHY OBSESSION with the number 8.

Sure, why not. You snatch the rest of them.



You happen to be using a BR8K MODUS… well technically it’s called the 8 SLOT INVENTORY MODUS, but you prefer to use the term BR8K MODUS because it kind of SUCKS and tends to BREAK things frequently... You really just use it out of NOSTALGIA and because it was so CHEAP.

You can only hold 8 items at a time, though you can also allocate 8 separate items to your STRIFE DECK, which really isn’t so bad. It just means that a lot of things you would never want to strife with end up in your modus. Say you want to bring a FORK with you to lunch, but you have no room because of all the papers your OLD DAY JOB made you carry around, so you decide to stick it in your strife deck. Not very fun when you accidently engage in MORTAL COMBAT with a particularly vicious CHEF SALAD. Your modus has a very ANNOYING tendency to MISALLOCATE items and produce such bizarre outcomes.

Such a tasteful and elegant piece of art would surely be worth a fortune! But in order to avoid it ending up in your STRIFE DECK, you need to make some room now that you snatched all those pool balls.

However, there are some tricks around this… if you group them all into one COMBINATION ITEM, such as ONE SET OF BILLIARD BALLS, they’ll only take up one slot. Sure, maybe you’re CHEATING THE SYSTEM, but you’ve never had a problem with that. You’re going to keep the 8-BALL separate though. It’s clearly BETTER than the rest of those balls and deserves its own slot.



Now to grab that painting...

I'm really enjoying working on this, and have huge plans for the plot. Once we finish up this opening theft, I promise a lot of stuff will be explained. Till then, I'd love it if you guys could help Vriska out with ideas for this situation! Strife with this muscular moron? Br8k him with your fists, or something from your sylladex? Either he's wearing those sunglasses at night because he's a MORON, or because he's BLIND. Hell, it's worth a shot, maybe he won't be able to find you, despite the fact that he had to have heard the BREAKING GLASS, and no one would hire a blind guard in the first place unless they had some USEFUL SKILLS.

SunStealer realized that there was another adventure with a name similar to ours; we didn't want to confuse anyone, so we changed our name. I actually like this one better now. ^+^

Next actual update should be tomorrow, but there's still time to influence it by submitting commands! I've been busy working on sprites lately; AU Terezi is looking pretty bad ass, I must say.

You examine the 4 BALL. You don’t remember this Clover being here. It must have gotten picked up with the ball somehow. For some reason, you feel inexplicably LUCKY. Even more so than usual. You are going to deck those IDIOTIC SUNGLASSES right off that guy’s face.

You eject the 4 BALL from your strife deck, for maximum FIREPOWER.



Well that wasn’t lucky at all.

Hope everyone is enjoying this GRIEF scene so far! I've been trying my best with the animation, so things are taking a bit longer than we had anticipated, but I think the result is worth it! That said, we have several more panels already being worked on using commands that have already been submitted, but we wanted to post something tonight to keep you readers interested. Don't let that stop you from submitting more commands though, it's still not too late to influence the fight. Vriska needs your help!
