    > Jacques: Ask Sarah why she is being so meticulous about journaling.

(Jacques is asking me Sarah what is it that you need to write so fervently about in this journal of yours. Well, I don't know exactly why I like to include every single detail in my narratives, but I bet it makes them much more immersive.)

(Oh, here are our scooters. Jacques greets and thanks the not a little bit suspicious robot. Keep up with the good work, big metal man!)

(Hmm... I wonder if I should feel sad about that little robot.)

(...Nah. I know very well how every 'feeling' a robot shows is a mere emulation of what a human would do in a specific situation. Therefore, as convincent as robots may get as they advance they will never have true feelings.)

(I will now pretend I'm in a slow moving vehicle race. Hopefully we'll get to our destination faster.)

("We're here." says Jacques at last, after a notable time through the corridors and a scooter race which didn't actually happen. It's not like it was a long way since the entrance, but the scooters were painfully slow. I'm thankful we're finally somewhere.)

(A sentry robot is seen guarding the door of our destination, with a supervisor alongside it. Jacques mentioned in the way here that the facility's security was slowly being automatized, and that right now the whole system was in an experimental stage. I cannot help but feel uneasy before the fact that most of my co-workers are gonna be cold machines... Mainly technically unstable ones.)

("Well, you know the protocols for malfunctional robots that are outdated way past their models end manufacturing, right?", he asks me while handling the scooters to the sentry for it take care of them.

"Of course. They are exchanged with more up to date models of the same line to the owner, and the old one is sent to reprocessing." I answer. "Though this is only for very old robots. Is this the case of the one we're dealing with?")

We found his memory to be critically corrupted, with many of his basic functions lost. Not only are his data banks secured by a fierce encryption, none of our professionals would be able to write back his missing code. Because his parts aren't manufactured anymore, we cannot even straight away replace his CPU. But we can take a deeper insight in this robot once I've shown you where our lockers are, I'm certain-"

("Hang on a little minute, Sarah."

We are interrupted by the voice of the sentry's supervisor.)

(There he is, holding a kid by his wrist.

Wait, that was the kid we saw earlier by the facility's entrance! "Where's my Iggy?? What are you gonna do to him?? I don't want you to turn Iggy into scrap!", bellowed and screamed the kid. That must be his robot companion we were talking about. Well, it must be a big friend to him, I cannot help but feel a bit of compassion for the angry boy...)

("Well, why don't we examine his robot right away, Jacques? It's not like I'm in a hurry to see the remaining of the facility. I'm certain I'd be able to find a way to fix it.", I suggest. "Sure, sure."

I decided I'd try to comfort the boy, and maybe -who knows? - I will be able to fix it. It's the perfect opportunity to do some benefactions and test my skills at the same time.)

("Hey, lady! Thank you for taking care of my Iggy! Give this to him some time later, after he recovers. This way he'll never forget of me!" The boy gave me a little doll before being scorted away. "Well, I cannot guarantee anything. But this will get to him, don't worry."

    Hey hey, 1t's 0ld man Jacques. What br1ngs y0u here, Jack, after such a l0ng t1me? And w1th c0mpany, 1 see! 1 th0ught y0u were t00 l0fty f0r th1s s0rt 0f stuff - 1nteract1ng w1th actual pe0ple, 1 mean.

(Back at the chamber's entrance, we were greeted by a sassy robot. I wouldn't say it was Iggy who talked to us in a mockful tone before the door, because another robot was laying on the ground further away from him, but Jacques did say the robot we were going to check was talking nonsense.)

"We have business with your cellmate, subject PHI 14. Now, don't get so cocky; you may be nothing more than evidence of the hack attack of October, but don't you think that you're exempt of punishment."

    What 1f 1 t0ld y0u 1 have c0mpletely erased all my mem0ries 0f the event, 0l' Jack? Can't 1 be freed already?

"It's not like you aren't old. Because of this and that you haven't an owner anymore we are obliged to turn you into scrap."

"Besides, we already have a backup of everything in your hard drive at the moment of your arrival, otherwise you wouldn't have been given the freedom of being left turned on."

    Wh0a, calm d0wn. 1 was k1dd1ng, just hav1ng fun, y0u kn0w. Why d0n't y0u share s0me 0f th1s fun 0f 0urs w1th the crazy guy?

(But after a quick and friendly conversation, our matters with the sassy robot are cleared and I am enlightened to the fact that Iggy is - as I thought - the robot laying on the floor.)

Hey hello howdy olá alors salut ma'am, FUCK 011110010110111101110101. I am ma am ma 0110000101101101001000000110110101100001 6675636b696e67 sick of this classiness of this adabo dabo of this MONOTONY. Fix em me ma'011000016d and FUCK off ff f f ffff o
