So is the mmmmMMMMMM thing the sound of an unruly minion of Noisemaster's getting annoyed at the noise, or is it Princess Piano activating some sort of tantrum based superpower, like Guildmaster Wigglytuff?

Is it possible that Melody Kingdom has two disaster masters? I've been staring at the disaster stones for a while trying to figure out what kingdoms they're attached to, based on the map and the order in which the stones are displayed every time they show up. The third one, the blue one with the quarter-rest symbol, seems to be both music-themed and the odd one out. #4 is pretty obviously the Flower Kingdom (which is the next kingdom on the map), #5 is crystal, and #6 is sky. #7 (power button) fits pretty well with the space kingdom's neon-futuristic feel, and #8 is Nightmare Knight. There doesn't seem to be one that represents the Donut kingdom, which kind of makes sense considering NK is set up there himself. I would've thought that if any of the kingdoms had two DMs it would be Crystal Kingdom, but #3 is out of sequence for that

Also I think the girl in the Melody Kingdom development art in gigi's portfolio might be proto-Nautilus based on her hair colour and ripple kingdom ear-shape.

Edit: On closer observation the order of the firey stone and the cloud stone are switched compared to the sky and crystal positions on the map hmm.

But if you examine the design on her dress, I'm pretty sure she was meant to be the Melody Kingdom's princess. Though Nautilus' design could have been based on her afterward.

Well, the ghosts are prepping her for their musical, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that they'd put her in a melody kingdom-styled dress. I was mainly guessing it might be Nautilus based on her ear shape; it looks like the different kingdoms' ear shapes might have been established fairly early on based on the crystal kingdom people having squared-off ears and space kingdom people having broad ones in the development art. *shrug*
