Are there any Coyote stories about Coyote losing an eye and having it put up in the sky? Or any other mythological stories about eye loss/star creation? The idea sounds so familiar that I swear I couldn't have made it up.

Of course, the Jones = Great Spirit theory is plausible too... and it would explain the Forest's deference to her.

So I also just archived binged for the first time for GKC, and I am so happy that it exists.

Mark Hamill. The voice I read Coyote's lines in is a bit different from his Joker voice but I can't think of anything closer.

Okay, caught up on the thread now. And with that I realise I need to reread the comic. I had no idea how to parse mechangelikat during my first read, for instance. Like, total failure to connect to the context of the story. -_-

I doubt Jones is Arcturus, but only because she is around too frequently that the star in the sky ought to be missed while she's on Earth. Then again, there were no anomalies of the moon's disappearance when Annie poked it... so maybe? Whether she's Arcturus or no, she's got to be connected to it somehow.
