What are you incredulous about?
What are you incredulous about?
think of the consequences!
(too many loose teef)
definitely panic if there’s caviar
I am serious when i say he would be more awesome god than the real world ones. But of course i realise the odds of anyone worshipping Coyote, especially on a large scale. But gogdamn would that be the awesomest priesthood and think of how stuff like sermons would work! (Probably completely random and incredibly hilarious).
I really should see about getting a new signature.
Yep, check it.
I imagine that a society surrounding JUST this one Coyote would be kind of...
cool for the first week but then it gets crazy.

Oh gosh.
I think I pretty muched guessed that.
And also Annie's ancestors, that is a good point.
How does she even exist?

Not only do the boy and his family keep the world spinning, his death (and his family's) probably helped power Annie more directly then most, considering the way they died.
Ysengrin is officially my favorite character in the story.
The way he reacts to situations is so serious it nearly becomes funny, especially due to the general bizarre nature of everything in Gunnerkrigg Court.
CLICK SPOILER FOR SIG:
I meant his mannerisms
I really should see about getting a new signature.
I am really loving all the world building exposition in this chapter
Also my favorite myth about coyote is the one where he drained an entire keg in one kegstand
remember that time this was the best comic
ever
I was kind of wondering about that thing with Miss Carver's ancestors when Coyote explained why he doesn't exist.
@ unbridledExüberance, I don't know how I came to think that hadn't been made in this thread yet, especially after having read every single post.
* the shruggest of shoulders *
Maybe one isn't a weird deviant and the other isn't a monster clown, but I get this serious "Equius and Gamzee" vibe from Ys and Coyote, respectively. Ys sees Coyote as above him in the godly food chain (I think?), but Coyote doesn't act in the dignified manner that Ys would like. Ys is a tightwad who can sometimes be a comic straight man, and Coyote is an uncaring goofball.
Now lets just hope they don't succumb to similar fates...

This signature has been hidden because it exceeds 80 batmans in awesome.
Attack of the bipolar magic wolf in bipedal wooden power armor!
Now taking bets for outcome:
A. Coyote steps in to save the day
B. Annie breaks the flare stick thingy and Eglamore runs in
C. Ysengrin calms himself down / Annie talks her way out of this
D. Jones.
I'm leaning towards C, but who knows- Gunnerkrigg is too hard to predict.
I think it's A, B, or D. Probably B, because Tom wouldn't have shown the flare if Annie wasn't going to use it.
Coyote knows Ysengrin enough to expect that this kind of outcome was fairly likely, so it would be believable for him to show up. But it also seems like the kind of thing he would let play out to see what happens.
A bunch of termite cats from space show up at the least opportune moment.
Somebody on the GC forums suggested Annie maybe make some kind of etheric display to kinda shock him into chilling out. Possibly followed by her saying that she clearly has no reason to not believe in her heritage and other supernatural things.
I guess that would essentially count as C though.
