Is it just me or is Ysengrin a lot more stupid and irrational in this oage than normal?
Is it just me or is Ysengrin a lot more stupid and irrational in this oage than normal?
I immediately noticed that 95% of everyone on the opposite side of every argument were complete idiots. After a while, however, I started to realise that 90% of everyone on my side of every argument were also idiots. Then I realised that statistically, that meant there is a 90% chance that I am an idiot. And now I don't post on the Bioware forums anymore.
He's just a little moody
Coyote already called this outcome when he suggested to Annie that she may not be so eager to ride on Ysengrin's back after this day, so I highly doubt he'll intervene. I somewhat suspect something will happen with the strips of bark she has her hair tied up with, considering tying up her hair is the other thing Coyote said she might not be so eager to do anymore.
G. RUN AWAY!!! seems possible, too, but unlikely, unless it's part of B. Considering she's already fumbled a recovery attempt with the talking, C. could prove difficult. Right now I'm vacillating between B and C. Although seriously, when does E not happen?
It seems a bit wrong to make a negative comment about the art about Gunnerkrigg, especially with such amazing stuff like every time we see Ysengrin on this page, but Annie in panel 5 seems a bit posed. Might just be me though, and this page is certified amazing anyway.
Looks like "RUN AWAY" it is. Ys just completely lost his shit.
Well this'll hurt their relationship...
This signature has been hidden because it exceeds 80 batmans in awesome.
Oh yes, I forgot about the Ysengrin turns into a spiderwolf option. Silly me.
I bet Carver regrets mentioning how he shapes his wood amor into human shape now, huh.
So, as expected, my guess was probably completely wrong. Maybe. I don't know. The "GRUH" sound was kind of ambiguous. Was that Ysengrin growling in anger, or was that him being all "Guh, why am I like this? I wish I weren't seen this way. I just want to be seen as a real person *cries*"
If Ysengrin is really going through with the kill (or at least thoroughly intimidate) Annie option, then I see 4 possible outcomes:
Coyote steps in; not unlikely, plus I get the feeling that Coyote would get a lot of satisfaction out of being able to say "I told you so"
Eglamore charges in; Annie could still break the flare, but doing so (and thus having Eglamore enter the forest) could cause diplomatic problems between the Forest and Court- good job Medium in training
Jones steps in; I list this as an option because the next chapter is about Jones, so it's possible that this chapter ends with a lead up to that- plus we know that Jones can freely enter the woods without Coyote's permission
Annie runs to her friends in the forest for protection; while this sounds like a good option, I think I remember Tom saying something about not seeing the forest people in this chapter (but I could be wrong about that)
There's also the Annie escapes on her own option, but I don't see how she could outrun Spider!Ysengrin unless Ysengrin let her (which is possible- he maybe just wants to intimidate her and "put her in her place" rather than kill her)
EDIT: bonus option: Annie learns how to flyyyyyyyyyyyyy

He's made of wood and she's made of fire. Froooooooosh
e: It's like ysenenenigrin never bothered to read up on basic gaming-style type matchups before going into balls-out attack mode. Of course that's what you'd expect from one of those backwards beasts from the woods,![]()

it is possible that Annie does not want to kill/horribly injure Ysengrin!
(Also she probably does not want to set the woods on fire)
the difference between videogame creatures and actual characters is that actual characters sometimes do not wish to murder everyone they meet
If that's the case, then that means that Mario's been doing horrible things to the poor Goombas for years.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure that Anne shouldn't see Ysgerderin (?) for the next little while.
He seems a tad bit upset right now.
The trick to remembering Ysengrin's name is that its Ysen and Grin. Ysen you remember somehow, and Grin you remember because Ysengrin is always so happy to see you.
YSENGRIN NO!
I don't think running will be very helpful, since wolf + a couple of extra legs = speed. I think Coyote will come up and stop Ysengrin, thereby establishing his position as above Annie's after his earlier humiliation. Although he shrugged it off I don't think he'll let the opportunity of a nice little 'Somehow, 'I told you so' doesn't quite cover the load' pass like that.
Can someone tell what is this web comic again.
H.P.D
I think you either want to know where to read it which you could honestly just google, the name of the thing is in the thread name and the first post, but I'll give you a link to the first page:
http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=1
Or if you meant the webcomic this forum is about, you can find the most popular one which is the one still ongoing here:
http://mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=001901
Or you can find a list of all of the comics here (the top one is the one linked to above, and they are ordered from newest to oldest, meaning the one at the bottom is the first one made by Hussie):
http://mspaintadventures.com/?viewpage=archive
Hope I could help you!
i still don't get how "coyote is silly" -> believes coyote's theory
Aaaaaaaaaand, Checkov's Flare.
I was actually kind of hoping that the flare wouldn't come up later, and that it was just a little detail added.
But this way, we get to see a battle between a wild Eglamore and a rabbin Ysengrin so all is cool
I wonder if Annie's line is along the lines of sadness about Ysengrin's condition or if Eglamore is flying down from the sky with a giant sword aimed at Ysengrin's neck or something.
Prediction: within the next few comics, we will see Annie, Ysengrin, Coyote, Eglamore, and Jones all together in the forest discussing what just happened.
Disclaimer: My predictions are usually wrong.
My prediction for next page: Eglamore just killed Ysengrin, chopping open his tree-body and revealing how weak and emaciated his wolf-body had become.
