Why did Eglamore appear using the Club Alpin Français' logo? De etherics have something to do with mountain climbing? Is this a logical link to his super jumping abilities? Is this the proof of an ancient conspiracy about magical french hiking enthusiasts? Did I really tried this set of jokes?

I remember Eglamore's scar being a topic earlier, but I don't remember how much we came up with.

In continuing adventures of rereading Gunnerkrigg Court accidentally, Mr. Eglamore doesn't have the scar on his face at the start, then in the chapter Reynardine, he gets a round on his face in almost the same spot, though at a different angle. This could be the wound, except that when he next appears, in Of New and Old, he doesn't have the wound or the scar. The scar doesn't show up until The Medium Beginning, which seems to be almost directly after summer break. (Eglamore shows up in Fangs of Summertime, right before summer break, without the scar) So either something happened over the summer, more drastic then a dragon, or Tom didn't draw it until that point which seems unlikely.

It strikes me as odd that Yssen's thoughts are coherent enough to do all these fancy tree transformations (Rocket Tree!!! Beechoooooooo!!*) yet seemingly crazy enough to still want to kill Annie.

I think Unstoppable Rage works like that. Power=Rage^2, with little to no loss in concentration from insanity.

But of course, there are exceptions to this rule.

Thus, if you are not accelerating, you cannot be angry.
Furthermore, if you are accelerating at a fixed rate, you must either get angrier or become lighter over time. Assuming your mass stays the same, the faster you accelerate, the angrier you are, and you only become more angry over time.

Ignore the fact that I have both acceleration and time in the same equation and are treating them as distict. IT IS DEFINITELY PERFECTLY VALID. YEP. NOTHING WRONG HERE.

Considering the fact that Annie spent an entire month in the forest and, I assume, wasn't constantly being threatened by crazy killer creatures, I think what Eglamore is a BIT unfair. They aren't inherently dangerous creatures (no moreso than humans, probably), nor has she treated them like pets. I expect an angry reaction from her in the next page.

Still, panel 5 is a bit uncalled for from her.

Well yeah Eglamore is kinda showing his... beastism? Is that a thing? Basically he's making silly assumptions and being silly. SO SILLY.

Technically, what he said was 100% accurate. The forest people are not pets. They (or at least certain half-dryad half-transformer half-pure-rage (yes that is 150%) wolves) are dangerous. The rhetorical implication that Annie considers the forest people pets unfair though.

Completely unrelated side note: it makes me angry that the word implies can mean either, er, implies (since A therefore B) or just suggests (since A then maybe B but not necessarily) when used in a non-mathematical context. English: what's up with it.
