Yeah, I wasn't sure how Annie was going to take that, but I was hoping it'd go like this.
Just... if Jones starts being annoyingly vague this time I hope she flips out.

Nawww, poor Ysengrin
I really should see about getting a new signature.
Wait, this page doesn't have Jones.
But it does have Coyote, so that makes everything okay.
And it makes me happy to see apologetic Ysengrin. Real Ysengrin doesn't want to hurt Annie.
EDIT: Though seeing Coyote 'shushing' Ysengrin leads me to imagine a situation where Coyote found a still raging Ysengrin and had to shoosh-pap him to calm him down.

It might be time to take Ysengrin out behind a shed.
The saddest page.
This page strikes me as reeeaallly ominous for some reason.
I've always suspected Coyote was a bit of a bastard behind that grin. I'd lay odds he actually had something to do with Ys' attack.

That's... boring though. That completely absolves Ys and makes it the fault of something besides his own issues.
It seems to me that Ys is SUPPOSED to have issues, which need to be worked out. That would be good drama. Mind control wouldn't.
Not to say Coyote didn't control him in some other sense. Someone who's unhinged is also potentially easy to manipulate.
I think we can have our drama cake and eat it too, here.
This signature has been hidden because it exceeds 80 batmans in awesome.
Wait I thought it as obvious from this page that Coyote was somehow controlling Ysengrin, the idea that there are those who think otherwise kinda confuses me, unless everyone is convinced that ysengrin is suffering from memory loss I guess. I would be sad if they were right though. Not just because it means the dailogue makes a lot less sense, but also because the reveal that Coyote was obfuscating the truth from Annie to alienate her from the forest and break her up with Ysengrin is my favourite plot twist from this chapter.
I immediately noticed that 95% of everyone on the opposite side of every argument were complete idiots. After a while, however, I started to realise that 90% of everyone on my side of every argument were also idiots. Then I realised that statistically, that meant there is a 90% chance that I am an idiot. And now I don't post on the Bioware forums anymore.

Hello guys. :3 Query: Am I the only one who's glad that Annie apologized to Eglamore, if briefly?
Justification: Don't get me wrong, I know Annie's life sucks and she has tons of reasons and problems. It's just that she's been kind of a selfish jerk lately.
Glad she's going to Jones, though. Everything with Jones is awesome and I have a feeling some mysteries about her will be answered--or more raised.
Observation: I love Coyote, but he's obviously screwing with Ysengrin. Not cool, bro.
There's nothing to do but I don't mind when I'm with you
^^totally agreed, for so many reasons. Coyote is a trickster god, honestly. Manipulating (read: not mind control) an unstable wolf god who is completely devoted to him should be easy.
What we have to wait and see is how this plays out; how it affects the relationships between Coyote, Ysengrin, and Annie. Not to mention between the Wood and the Court.

We already know that Coyote's gifts are not always as awesome as they appear to be at first glance - Reynardine's body jumping causing the body to die when he jumps to the next body, Annie's tooth that can even cut shadows off the ground (I suspect we'll see more sinister side effects of the tooth when it gets used more, as if Robot getting split in two wasn't sinister enough), and Ysengrin's tree body that I speculate is helping him to become more savage / lose his marbles.
I wouldn't say it was a deliberate direct controlling of Ysengrin by Coyote in this case - Ysengrin's insecurity with his image is making him more susceptible to the savaging process of the tree body, and Coyote knew what cards to play to be able to anticipate this would be the outcome. Ysengrin is rather conflicted about Coyote's secret, and the mere mention of it, as in several chapters ago, seems to add emotional stress. That can't be healthy when you have a body that tends to make you more savage. Ysengrin would probably return to level-headed sanity (at least relatively speaking) if he gave up his treebody, but pride + insecure self-image = not happening, imo.
