==> Make sure Calvin NEVER finds out what you've done.
You swear this a thousand times over. And make plans to add it to your nightly prayers. And offer whatever penance might be demanded of you in exchange.
And nevertheless you feel a chill go down your spine that you're certain isn't from the snow. The hail's let up at least, thank goodness.
==> Wreck their evil snowman so they won't be able to create Team Infinity Snowgrunts.
Well, your cover is blown; as soon as the redheaded woman wakes up, you're going to have all the nearby Grunts on your tail. They can't see you from here because of the snow, so they probably missed the details of the battle, but they had to have caught glimpses and there's a good chance they heard the sounds of the battle: despite all the snow, there's very little wind to muffle sound. Might as well take out the ones who would be the closest to come for assistance.
You send Phoebe out to dispose of their snowman, resigning to the loss of your pen in the assault.
What the...!? What do you think you're doing??

Lv22
You've learned this time. The instant you see her reach for a Pokeball, you send Samuel and Lilly out together. Good thing, too, as she had no intention of letting you have a one-on-one fight - a Jynx and Shellder pop out in a flash.
The Jynx sets her sights on Samuel, puckers up, and lunges. Samuel deftly moves out of the way in the nick of time. Seizing the opportunity, he maneuvers around to her other side and sinks his teeth in.
Enemy JYNX used Lovely Kiss! Enemy JYNX's attack missed!
SAMUEL used BITE! Critical Hit! It's Super Effective!
You signal to Lilly, and she darts up to the Shellder. They both glow briefly green, and she pulls away. The Shellder rears up and fires a razor-sharp blade from the snow, hitting Lilly dead on. A second follows the first.
LILLY used MEGA DRAIN! It's Super Effective! Enemy SHELLDER had its energy drained! LILLY regaiend health!
Enemy SHELLDER used ICICLE SPEAR! It's Super Effective! Struck two times!
Lilly is barely standing, the poor thing. You return her to her ball and send Catyon in to take her place. No sooner does she hit the ground than the Jynx's fist hits her, snow and ice blowing forth from her hand and encasing Catyon in a block. Coming to his ally's aid, Samuel again tears into Jynx. The Shellder emits a high pitched sound of chaos, forcing even you to cover your ears. Samuel and Catyon seem fine, but the Jynx is swaying where she stands.
LILLY was recalled, CATYON was sent out!
Enemy JYNX used ICE PUNCH! CATYON is frozen solid!
SAMUEL used BITE! It's Super Effective!
Enemy SHELLDER used SUPERSONIC! Attack missed! Attack missed! Enemy JYNX became confused!
You quickly dive into your bag and pull out one of your medicine bottles, spraying the liquid onto the ice cube. It fades in a flash. Catyon shivers a bit but seems just fine. The Jynx seems about to lay into her again, but her hand snaps around and smacks her own head instead. Samuel takes advantage of her disorientation to take one last shot at her, knocking her unconscious with a heartrending cry of pain. The Shellder rounds on Samuel to avenge its fallen comrade, firing twin ice blades at the Eevee, thankfully only landing one on him.
SUSIE used ICE HEAL! CATYON thawed out!
Enemy JYNX is Confused! It hurt itself in its confusion!
SAMUEL used BITE! It's Super Effective! Enemy JYNX fainted!
Enemy SHELLDER used Icicle Spear! Attack missed! Struck one time!

The first Grunt replaces her fallen psychic-type with a Sneasel. Samuel's looking a bit unsteady, so you pull out another bottle to spray on him. He almost seems to smile at you as he returns to battle. The Sneasel flashes its claws and lays into Catyon, scratching at her twice before she emits a roar of flame, pushing it back. The Shellder again spits ice at Samuel.
SUSIE used SUPER POTION! SAMUEL regained health!
Enemy SNEASEL used FURY SWIPES! Hit two times!
CATYON used FLAMETHROWER! It's Super Effective!
Enemy SHELLDER used ICICLE SHARD! Hit two times!
The Sneasel weaves as it sprints toward your team again, landing a nasty blow on Catyon. Catyon, riled, spits more fire at it, knocking it out. Catyon stands a little straighter as the trainer recalls it. Samuel smacks into Shellder with his full weight, stunning it.
Enemy SNEASEL used Faint Attack!
CATYON used Flamethrower! It's Super Effective! Enemy SNEASEL fainted! CATYON grew to LEVEL 20! Catyon forgot THUNDERSHOCK and learned SPARK!

The first woman appears to be out of Pokemon; the second Grunt, with a scowl, tosses her her spare ball and she releases the creature contained within: an armor-plated reptile your 'Dex identifies as an Aron. Catyon growls and charges into the Shellder, crackling with electricity. It lets out a shout and falls still. Samuel squints his eyes shut and mews quietly, glowing slightly. A wall of noise smacks into him, a rumbling bellow from the armored creature, and he tumbles into your arms, bumping into the Pokeball you still hold. Lilly leaps onto the field.
CATYON used SPARK! It's Super Effective! Enemy SHELLDER fainted!
SAMUEL used WISH!
Enemy ARON used ROAR! SAMUEL fled from battle! LILLY was forced out!
Lilly's swaying a bit, so you expend another bottle of medicine on her. Catyon breathes fire at the Aron, and you're somewhat surprised it hardly flinches. The Aron leaps for Lilly and rakes at her with gleaming claws. Light briefly surrounds her, and she shakes off the attack.
SUSIE used POTION! LILLY regained health!
CATYON used FLAMETHROWER!
Enemy ARON used METAL CLAW!
SAMUEL's WISH came true! LILLY regained health!
Catyon charges the Aron one last time, sending it flying with a crackle of energy. It falls still with a cry and is promptly returned to its ball.

You aren't giving them a chance to blindside you. Lilly and Catyon hit the ground before they can send out their team. You begin to wonder why you haven't adjusted your team as you once again recall Lilly in favor of Samuel as the grunt's Snover and Spheal grace the scene.
Really, she's not a bad fighter. This is just not her element.
Catyon breathes fire, sending the Snover staggering. It fires back with a sudden cold blast, causing you to shiver. The Spheal waddles forward and hurls a burst of ice at Catyon, splattering against her chest and sending her back several feet.
LILLY was recalled, SAMUEL was sent out!
CATYON used FLAMETHROWER! It's Super Effective!
Enemy SNOVER used ICY WIND! CATYON's SPEED Decreased!
Enemy SPHEAL used POWDER SNOW!
Catyon snarls and again burns the Snover, which cries out as it falls to the ground. Samuel lunges head-first into the Spheal, which quickly returns the favor. Samuel doesn't seem able to shake off this one. The grunt scowls and sends out a Snorunt.

The scientist smirks as he steps in and sends out a Gothorita. She flies directly at you-
Put me down put me down put me down PUT ME DOWN PUT ME DOWN
An invisible force squeezes around your arms, pinning them to your waist, and covering your mouth. You feel yourself lifted, toes barely scraping the ground. Nothing escapes your throat when you yell; Catyon and Samuel stand helplessly awaiting orders that never come. The Snorunt slams its head into Catyon and staggers back, twitching. A wave of snow descends upon your team, and Catyon falls still.
Enemy GOTHORITA used CONFUSION on the trainer!
Enemy SNORUNT used HEADBUTT! CATYON's STATIC Paralyzed Enemy SNORUNT! It may not be able to attack!
Enemy VANILLITE used AVALANCHE! CATYON fainted!
Samuel looks back at you sadly, and your eyes meet. Every part of your thoughts is screaming for him to attack, or at least to flee for safety, but you can't speak, can't move, and feel your mind slowly but surely starting to go numb. Suddenly without any verbal communication his ears perk up, then he charges into battle, sinking his teeth into the psychic. She falls back, and you sink to your knees as she releases you. Gasping for breath, you grasp for the balls on your belt and send Freya and Phoebe to assist. Freya, lightning-quick, rips into the Gothorita while Phoebe sends a powerful jet of water directly at the Snorunt, rendering it unconscious. Samuel deftly sidesteps the Vanillite's second salvo of ice and snow and presses the attack against the Gothorita.

His partner's team on its last leg, the scientist hurls two more Pokeballs, revealing twin Magnemites. Before he can command them, Freya makes one final assault on the Gothorita, knocking her out. Phoebe again sprays water at the Vanillite, the strike sending it cartwheeling head-over-cone, disorienting it. Both Magnemites charge Phoebe; she dodges the first but takes the second head-on, shaking off the damage. The Vanillite sways in place a moment before aiming an attack directly at its own body. You are quite ready to leave this catastrophe behind. It looks like you have several options of where to head next - follow the crevasse north or south, or continue on the main route east.

Also, if it bothers you, there was a slight typo here:
LILLY used Mega Drain! It's Super Effective! Enemy SHELLDER had its energy drained! LILLY regaiend health!
Heal your team and have Lily combine her Sleep powder with Phoebe's. remember to cover your mouth and nose. Hopefully this would enshroud the previous enemies in a chocking sleep solution silencing them for a few hours.
I noticed that the hail stopped. I don't know if it was on purpose or not.
I immediately noticed that 95% of everyone on the opposite side of every argument were complete idiots. After a while, however, I started to realise that 90% of everyone on my side of every argument were also idiots. Then I realised that statistically, that meant there is a 90% chance that I am an idiot. And now I don't post on the Bioware forums anymore.
You're giving them an opening every time you let them see you unarmed. Keep someone out at all times - let's say Samuel since he's got the sense to act if you're incapacitated.
also messing up your pronouns in that paragraph in the first post:
You've learned this time. The instant you see him reach for a Pokeball, you send Samuel and Lilly out together. Good thing, too, as he had no intention of letting you have a one-on-one fight - a Jynx and Shellder pop out in a flash.
mmm
was i the only one who caught the firefly reference back with ms steel then?
by the way:
Ice Ball is like rollout- and locks you into using the move repeatedly until it misses (or 5 turns go by)
so the spheal couldn't have used Body Slam after using Ice Ball because the ice ball hit
Scope out both paths. See which is more advantageous. It's called scouting. Learn it. Live it. Do it.

Unrelated . . . Man. I have had no success with Ask Team Infinite. I'm getting all of the errors here. All of them.
No need.
I tried it one more time and didn't get any errors. First time it's worked and I didn't waste the opportunity.
Susie: when all this is over you really need to retrain your pokemon to respond to hand signals as well as verbal commands just in case something like this happens again. Loot the scientist for an ID or a key/pass-card of some sort, he might have had higher level access within Team Infinity.
"Relive" them of there dangerous pokemon.
I immediately noticed that 95% of everyone on the opposite side of every argument were complete idiots. Then I realised that statistically, that meant there is a 90% chance that I am an idiot. And now I don't post on the Bioware forums anymore.
Hey, relive could work. Maybe some of these grunts are socially starved adults who, having never realized the dreams of their halcyon youth and lacking children, push their Pokemon to fulfill those dreams for them, regardless of the psychological damage inflicted by these unrealistic expectations.
[Ambience Link]
==> Combine Sleep Powder with Twister to knock out everybody.
Uh... no. Mainly because if it were to work, there's a good chance you'd hit yourself.
Less selfishly though, it probably wouldn't work. Sleep Powder and similar attacks work best when delivered in high-density, direct doses - most of the time such moves fail, it's because not enough of the pollen got ingested or breathed due to dispersing or poor aim on the attacker's part rather than a Pokemon's internal constitution simply fighting off the invasion. An attack like that scattered across a wide area like this wouldn't do much more than tickle people's noses and maybe make them yawn, sadly.
You're running out of options for keeping enemies from pursuing you, sadly. You think the temperature here is probably the reason the Sleep Powder's been less effective. Perhaps once you're out of this dome, you'll be able to resume using that tactic; in the meanwhile Lilly could probably use a rest, and you'll need to take a different measure of how to keep Grunts from jumping back on your tail after you've left them behind.
==> Relieve them of their Pokemon.
You won't steal for your own profit, but you have no qualms against removing a criminal's weapon and putting it somewhere he or she can't get it back. Or in your current circumstances, can't get it back quickly. You can't carry them with you, so you do the next best thing: you circle around from the scientist to the three Grunts and the redheaded woman, then toss all their Pokeballs into the lake.
They'll be a while figuring out how to get them out without getting soaked and risking frostbite, and the Pokemon inside won't be harmed by being submerged, so your backtrail and your conscience are both clear. You move on.
==> Scout ahead in all three directions before choosing your path.
Not a bad idea. You decide to search southward first.
The snow limits your vision slightly, but you manage to make out two things about the southern route. One is that there's a figure - you think a man - in an Infinity uniform; the other is that he's standing on a ledge or drop-off of some kind. You don't like the thought of jumping blindly in the snow or trying to climb down an ice-slicked wall, so you rule that route out for now.
==>
Heading north brings you to a ramp where two more figures stand at attention. The snow is thicker up there, but you don't see anything that direction but bare land and some trees. You can't be absolutely certain, but you don't think your quarry went that way. You put that option aside as your second choice, and continue east.
==>
This way looks more promising. You see several uniformed figures standing about, and at least one wearing a white coat that identifies him as another scientist. Unfortunately the ground rises up through several tiers here, so you'll have to fight your way through the rest to reach him. So much for taking the easy route.
==> Keep someone out with you at all times.
Good idea. Samuel seems the obvious choice for now, so you let him out as soon as you step out of hiding and approach the nearest figure. He jumps as soon as you move into visibility and draws in return.
Hey, where'd you come from?

He opens with a pair, a Drowzee - which you've never seen before in person but seen on television and 'Dex records a few times - and a Vullaby. You pull Lilly back out immediately and consider throwing Freya out in her place, but the Dark-type distinct advantage gives you pause, and you decide to send Bun in her place instead. In the meanwhile Phoebe fires an Ice Beam at her, knocking her slightly off course but not enough to prevent her from greeting Mr. Bun by jabbing him with her beak and stealing his Berry, gulping it down without hesitation despite having no Confusion to cure. The Drowzee swelled up slightly, then ejected a burst of noxious smoke from its snout, spraying Phoebe down with toxic gas.
LILLY was recalled, MR. BUN was sent out!

Enemy VULLABY used PLUCK! Enemy VULLABY stole and ate its target's PERSIM BERRY!
Enemy DROWZEE used POISON GAS! PHOEBE was Poisoned! PHOEBE is hurt by Poison!
Mr. Bun was quick to enter the fray, properly, leaping to Phoebe's defense with a volley of water boosting his lunge to kick the Drowzee in the face, interrupting its continued expulsion of poison smoke. Phoebe didn't seem any slowed by the toxin, and another blast from her ice attack put the Vullaby down before it could do more harm. The Drowzee, irritated by the interruption, grabbed hold of Mr. Bun and locked eyes with him, emitting a buzzing drone as its eyes glowed with strange hypnotic patterns, causing the rabbit to go limp in its grip.
MR. BUN used AQUA JET!

The fallen Vullaby is swiftly replaced by a Meditite, while you dig around in your bag for some smelling salts to wake Mr. Bun before the Drowzee can poke around in his dreams. Phoebe, undeterred, blasts the newcomer with a jet of water, knocking it head over heels into a snowdrift; when it attempts to rise, it trips on something and bashes its head against a nearby stone. The Drowzee, frustrated, charges and slams headfirst into Mr. Bun, sending him reeling and almost hitting you in the process.

Enemy MEDITITE is Confused! It hurt itself in its confusion!
Enemy DROWZEE used HEADBUTT! PHOEBE's hurt by Poison!
Now fully awake, Bun's normally-docile and gentle nature has been pushed aside by the brutal treatment he's taken from the Drowzee. Bonemerang lashes out, catching it just below the jaw on the first fly-by then clipping its knees out from beneath it on the return. Phoebe attempts to blast the Meditite again, but as it stumbles over another outcropping the attack goes over its head, while its own retaliatory blow - a glowing sphere of light clenched in one fist and ready to be thrown - falls in the snow with the rest of it and fizzles out. The Drowzee counters with a psionic shockwave that snatches Bun and shoves him through the air yet again, but the nimble lagomorph lands on his feet and retrieves his weapon without interruption.
MR. BUN used BONEMERANG! Struck two times!
PHOEBE used WATER PULSE! Attack missed!
Enemy MEDITITE is Confused! Enemy MEDITITE used HIDDEN POWER! Attack missed!
Enemy DROWZEE used CONFUSION! PHOEBE's hurt by Poison!
Another bone is sent flying, and this time the return assault strikes the Drowzee in the back of the head, knocking it out cold. Phoebe strikes the prone Meditite with another geyser, but the blow is enough to clear its head and it strikes back, hurling a second glowing ball straight into the middle of her forehead. Now two-on-one, Mr. Bun turns and throws the bone the Fighting-type's way, hitting it first square in the stomach then in the kidneys on the second strike, knocking it prone and out.

You don't answer, but you have to admit that he's right, dislike it though you do. Regardless, you do disarm him and toss his Pokeballs over the nearby ledge, then apply antivenom to Phoebe before moving on.
==>
Phoebe still at your side, you come to another optional fork. Seems you're at a high point; if you wanted you could jump down in the depression ahead to the east, perhaps getting the drop on the fellow down there blocking the passage past that spire. Or you could continue following the visible mini-ramps through the ledges, facing the uniformed woman ahead and the scientist you saw earlier, who you're going to need to tackle eventually, unless you want to leave them unawares like the ones you passed on the north and south routes before.
