Meanwhile, Rajilla discovered that Topiary Land might have a good number of cuttable trees, although more scarce.

"The shepherds have houses with walls. We have tents.
When I was here before I heard... things scratching at the walls. If you want to be eaten in your sleep then you can go repitch your tent outside but I'd like a nice strong barrier between whatever lives out there and me, thanks.

I'm also thinking I can fit a fair amount more lumber into that cart bed than one vegetable can carry.
Besides, is it really sensible to keep all of our belongings in a wooden box on wheels?"

Reading is a bit difficult, BlazerC (I mean the color)

    Skeggi walks toward the camp.

"Uh, we are not yet here, Victor, but if I get what you mean, eah I wanted to take some wood when we left the forest I was told it was enough. If I were quite upset, I could have the fire burn without it but in the meantime we could use dried sheep dung, what d'ya think? The Tomatoes could like gathering it, after all... but they could be easy prey for the feral sheeps"

Or maybe ask someone to fetch wood with the cart, I could do some axework myself, or start using that metal we took to do some new tools".

Skeggi shudders as he feels somewhere an evil threat.

As Victor is startled by he's reaction he just says

"Nay, it's nothing. I bet some young lad must be basking in his misery or something. I thin k i should use the largest chunk of metal for new tools. Gotta find myself a rock that could be a nice anvil"

    Re: Magic Exile: @ernal sunshine?

Had Rajilla owned sunglasses now would be the time where she would put them on, find and light a cigar, and billow smoke into the air. She had none of those things, so she settled for chewing on some grass and smugly starts to order Chutney and Slices around.

"Alright boys, here's how we are going to roll. We've got supplies to gather and trees to cut down." This is the part where she would have billowed out smoke. "With all of the shrubbery around here, we've got the capacity to bring back a good amount of things for the rest of us, so here's how it is going to go down."

Rajilla tells Chutney and Slices to go look for, cut down, and collect trees, but not to separate too much. She sets out a spot for them where they will take them all back. Meanwhile, she will look for smaller sticks and forage for anything different and new, keeping her shield out and making sure not to stray too far herself.

"Hmmm, how am I going to move all those logs back..."

    Re: Magic Exile: @ernal sunshine?

Stubbornly disregarding the advice of everyone speaking to him, Steve continues lining the sides and base of his hole with the flattest stones so he can put things in it without covering them with dirt. There probably isn't one big enough to cover the whole of the hole (or if there is, the hole isn't big enough to fit everything in. I don't really know how large we are talking about here ) but that can always come later.
After that he pumps the rest of his FP into his shoes and then goes to hide in one of the tents, he can't be bothered doing any more arguing (and anyway, he's clearly in the right here).

    Place rocks [?????]
    Recharge shoes [-8 FP]
    Nap for remaining chore time

    Re: Magic Exile: @ernal sunshine?

"Yesss." Rajilla looks happily at the large pile of wood, and then turns to her tomato companions.
"Alright boys, still got some fight left in ya? I've think I've got how we are going to get these logs back but seeing that we still haven't had any sign of trouble, I think we can keep going with the foraging and such."
She starts to circle around, adding a flutter to her voice, "Everyone will be so pleased with you for helping me~."

    "Ready, break!"

Once more the three part ways, but not too far a-ways in search of whatever materials the Topiary Lands have to offer. As Rajilla searches the ground along the lake, she looks across and wonders about the state of the camp without her.
I'm sure they'll be fine, they have Iorni. She'll grow up to be a fine woman, especially if I'm there with her. Rajilla smirks to herself before slowly contemplating that sentence further. We really are sort of alike aren't we... She's still a little girl, almost around my age when... Come to think of it, where are her parents? What happened to them that this little girl is traveling around with us? I never thought to ask but...

Rajilla takes a breath, and further contemplates Iorni's origins. She had the blessing of an aunt capable of raising an independent girl and then even help her along when said girl was a woman and thought it best to leave upon the discovery of her magic powers. But what did Iorni have? How did she get here? Where were her parents? And... what about everyone else? Rajilla wonders about her fellow exiles, how they all got here (yes, even Steve, terrifying I know) and what caused them to meet up. Why were they here, together, what was their destiny? She then thinks about to just over a week ago, when that wizard appeared. Who was he? What does he want? Is he still lurking around them?

What is in store for us? Here we are collecting wood and making friends, but why? We need to make a plan of action, a goal to look forward too. We need to go onward. And we need to stick together, grow closer (as much as I hate to say it), and we need to figure things out. And the best way to do that would be to look to the future.
    Which... means... Micheal...

So you guys want to set a deadline when to leave yea?

Farmer rummages around in his pockets before pulling out his Monster Seed satchel.

How about two days? I can grow us an apple friend in that time, and Steve can get some wood even in that time. I can send Relish to guard him incase trouble gets in his way...

He then pauses and glances around a bit.

Erh... speaking of which... does anyone know where those other two Tomatots are? ...Or Rajillia for that matter?

    ...

    Yes Ma'am!
    Okay, lady!

Slices and Chutney go off to collect more wood, keeping close to Rajillia, but spreading out if they need too.

Victor is so hungry right now he could eat pretty much anything. He goes over to the wagon in search of any item that fits the definition of "pretty much anything" and locates the Leftover Surprise

    "Ehhh..."

Yeah, he Eats x1 Steak and Berries instead.

Energized, he heads over to the automation and begins the methodical process of turning useless broken pieces of metal into not useless and not broken pieces of metal. He Casts x2 Mechanical Forge

    Re: Magic Exile: @ernal sunshine?

Steve is enjoying a hearty meal of Turkey and Purpleberries (perhaps more filling than what people would usually eat for breakfast, but that doesn't seem to bother him much) with one of his MASTER CRAFT wooden cutlery sets (nobody else better have been using them while he wasn't looking) when his attention is caught by a fairly innocent question posed by the group's very own designated farmer. Nobody else answers it so Steve decides to give it a go himself in his own special little way.

"...leave? That's not the first time someone has asked that question you know, and I am really not sure what you are talking about."
Steve seems far more agitated at the question than is perhaps appropriate, though he has also only just woken up and hasn't even finished his breakfast yet.
Hell, maybe the mere mention of Rajilla's name was enough to kick him into a rage! That seems a little unlikely though.

"We only just got here. Nothing's tried to eat us, there are a bunch of fairly non-judgemental people over the hill who haven't tried to burn me at the stake for being born with godlike powers yet and might appreciate some paintings of their sheep or whatever, and unless there's some terrible blight in the soil that you have yet to inform us about, presumably we're not going to lack for food."
At this point Steve starts pacing around in circles and bits of food fly out of his mouth, which is honestly sort of disgusting. Fortunately he takes a moment to put his meal down on the ground so he can say the rest of his pieces without bits of birds and fruit muffling it.

"I've been hounded out of my home by an angry, ignorant pack of philistines more times than I want to remember but I'm unable to practice my only meaningful skill without risking the torch whenever I manage to escape somewhere else. Every time they found me out, I lost everything that I couldn't carry with me through my escape route.
I'd try and creep back later to see if anything was salvageable but there was never much.
They would always burn all my paintings, even the non-magical ones. Anything that wasn't flammable would be smashed, including all of the furniture.
Then I even had to leave my fa-

    my uh...

my... things. All the things! I'd be lucky to get warning in time to grab a few paintbrushes before they broke down the door sometimes.

Are you telling me that this didn't happen to any of you? Did you all happen come from the one place that doesn't persecute magicians?
Don't tell me you all volunteered for this lovely little field trip! Believe me, if I had ever had anything close to a choice in the matter I would never have come here or hung around with any of you.
At least back in the world I could get by on my own, for a while. I didn't have to put my trust in the undeserving hands of anyone else just so they could mess things up. You can make a lot of money from portraits and statues, at least until you get a bit to into it and one of them winks at its owner.
Here? I'm an artist expected to make a living for myself in the wilderness. Painting is not a survival skill!
Did you really think this was meant to be anything other than a death sentence? I expect the dwarves weren't even meant to give us what little they did, they just felt sorry for us poor doomed bastards.

One of those farmers let me sleep in his home.
I mean... I didn't tell him I was a wizard but... surely he must have known right? People don't usually run around that fast do they? It should have been obvious. He must have known.
Even though that crazy guy's house is apparently somewhere nearby, he fed me and let me
They didn't try and kill any of you did you? And you didn't pretend not to be magical?
And now, after finding out that the continent that you were exiled to because of the way you were born already hosts a collection of completely civilised people who don't want to kill you... you want to leave?

I mean sure, they smell a bit and like sheep a little to much but are you out of your minds?

His outburst over Steve suddenly seems to realise he's been shouting and his breathing has become rather heavy, and looks a little sheepish. Apparently even he didn't know he felt quite this strongly about moving again.

"I think... I'm going to go and lie down again.
Probably didn't get enough sleep. That's it. Yeah.

I'm still not going anywhere though."

Farmer stands still, mumbling something about burning and angry mobs before pocketing the satchel.

...It'll- erh, I can see how... it's just, we needed to keep moving... and... yeah. Okay... Sorry Steve. We'll leave when were ready.

Tugging his hat down to hide his face, he wanders off and picks up his plow from the cart. Farmer works the soil outside the fence, and aside from giving Relish a few orders, remains silent for the rest of the morning.

Iorni's reaction to Steve's outburst is one of carefully cultivated indifference, as though his words held the same significance to her as an ant waggling it's antenna.

When he turns his back on his precious creations, however, she sets to work. She takes a floating cup in one hand, her hourglass in the other, and stares at them for about a minute. [Cast SLOW ON THE UPTAKE -5 FP]

This done, she switches out the hourglass for the knife, and stabs the cup a few times. There.

She places the cup back with it's fellows, and then retreats to a tent without a word spoken, presumably to sleep.

"So mister lil' whines did a big one for once."
Skeggi shrugs, and start foraging the metal pieces he brought back.
"I did mistakes. My people are not afraid of power. Our own gods are cruel and lunatics ones, so they would know better. But they can't stand being challenged by a fool, no they don't like this sorta things."

"Unless someone punchs me, I'll have to work with sheep dung to do something.... that aien't allowing me to much actually.
Hey Steve, fancy having to eat sheep cheese, drink sheep milk and eat sheep meat for a while? I don't know what kind of life you're suited for but it's not this one."

Skeggi eats the stuffed purple rabbit [1] Then he stays and cast Pyrohoarding on the fire [1] and starts examining the scraps and sorting them into different metal ore/types. [?] . If he has time left he start searching for rocks for setting up a rudimentary forge.

Mike cooks some stuff. Freckles can't really cook...
Mike sees a VISION. He sees pure boredom descending on them.

Iorni does some mean things to a cup, then sleeps.

Skeggi steals the fire once the cooking is finished.
All the scraps seem to be Rusty Iron.
Skeggi finds a big pile of rocks in the cart.

Iorni levelled up. She might improve and old spell or learn a new one.

    "Great job boys!"
Rajilla claps at the Tomatots' job well done. Now, we need to get all this back to the others. I think I have just the thing too.

Now here's the plan for getting back, we've got all of the logs in that large pile there right? What we will do, is keep close to the lake and I will carry them using my magic. It takes very intense concentration though, so one of you will have to carry me! Then, we'll go back and I;ll make sure to figure out something nice for the both of you for helping me out so well!

    Now, let's go!

Rajilla casts Tanto Moverre on the large pile of woods and stuff and get's one of Chutney and Slices to carry her as she moves the resources back the camp. She tries very hard not to think about any of the things she was thinking about before and not at all about how she is going to whip everyone together into shape.
