Farmer manages to plant his fist in the face of the sheep. He then tumbles away, and assumes the Angry Scarecrow Stance, a famous defensive stance known only to farmers.
The sheeps take out large bites from the tomatots...
Veggieturn: time to retialaite.
I am sorry guys, but this has lost quite a lot of steam. It has been riddled with bad gameplay design choices, like the overcomplicated chore system. The nonsymultinous battle turns made everything take forever. Also, with the current levels of semi-realism, it would have taken ages to create a permanent, safe settlement. If I make another game like this, I will go back to the roots of easily diggable underground fort, or start the game in a readily made aboveground fortress. v_v
Because of these things, I have decided to abandon this project. ;-;
Sorry, and thank you for your time.
Also, I am open to questions about what could have been, and other secrets.
Spoilers: Bad Sheep would have become a loyal party member had you impressed him by defeating the inkstone.
While i am saddened by this choice, I understand why it was made. I had a lot of fun with this and I very much enjoyed playing under you and with everyone else. I really liked the way that the game was set up, with the semi-realism despite the short-cuts and issues that were presented. I will really miss this game :c
Other things that were problematic was that to beat the story, you would had to visit the entire map to defeat evil bosses to get an army of golemgolems. But travelling everywhere would have been counterintuitive with building a settlement.
To make future games more interesting, could you fill out this survey?
What was the most interesting bit in the game, storywise?
What was the least interesting bit in the game, storywise?
Which was the most fun mechanic?
Which mechanic would you have changed?
Favourite moment in the game?
Worst Pun in the game? :B
Would you rather play in an All Nomadic or All Settled way?
How much crafting realism would you prefer, on the scale of NeedAllTheResources to MagicalVendingMachine?
To be fair, i felt that we didn't really need to be shown building the settlement and that it would have been implied after we beat up Para's Wizard. I felt that any attempt at settling down before that would have been doomed because of him, and I probably would have set out Rajilla alone in SELF-DISCOVERY if everyone else was convinced to stay. (that would have ended Really Badly, either with everyone having to come and save rajilla or NEVER SEEING HER AGAIN)
What was the most interesting bit in the game, storywise?
That wizard mofo >:C
After that I feel that the Purple Ghosties were a nice thing, having them show up and cause a ruckus and then solving it peacefully and potentially gaining an ally was pretty nice and I feel sort of should have been out M.O..
What was the least interesting bit in the game, storywise?
Urgle. Least interestings are always harder to remember X(
I would say... Hmmm...
ARGLE I CANT THINK OF ONE THOUGH MY SADLOVE GOGGLES
Which was the most fun mechanic?
MAGIC
LOVE MAGIC
Which mechanic would you have changed?
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhm, I don't really know :x I feel like fights have a way of stalling things too much, I feel like taking from (what I know) of Final Fantasy 13-2 and having different 'settings' with which to 'auto-battle with' and deciding on those before a battle could be better???(i.e. I make up a setting where rajilla fights by whipping her hair back and forth :v) It is harder to make funny quips that way though...
Favourite moment in the game?
Rajilla waking up angrily in the middle of the night and almost killing Steve with a rock that she threw.
Worst Pun in the game? :B
Elf+Elephant and Raptor+Thor were the ones that hurt me the most.
Would you rather play in an All Nomadic or All Settled way?
I feel that it this was a Nomadic adventure of discovery, both in terms of our characters discovering themselves and the world and its problems and fixing as much as they could. However, I imagine that All Settled would be easier to have end u_u
How much crafting realism would you prefer, on the scale of NeedAllTheResources to MagicalVendingMachine?
Terraria/Minecraftish where having the resources and stuff scale upward, and while you don't quite need everything that is logically required for it, it isn't like you cut down one tree and can make WHATEVER.
Is the Evil Wizard a male or a female :0 ?

It's okay PL, this was fun. I had a lot of fun. I'm just sad that the fun is over :,<
BUT I WAS GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN TORMENTING EVERYONE
it's not fair
it's not fair
in the meanwhile can I recommend a reboot with a streamlined combat system, and more of a focus on exploration rather than building up n' resource management?
[2011-08-03 20:04:33] <Acionyx> this is (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ land
If only you guys had followed those footprints. Could've been exploring an abandoned fortress that was also an enormous machine. And then inadvertently activated it. So it would try to kill you forever.
Shame, but yeah I think whatever you do next should involve less overcomplicated combat. I was just thinking that the combat was dragging on for way too long without being all that interesting overall. Not sure of the best way to do that in the context of a game like this, but I'm sure there's a way. Also yeah I definitely think things would be more interesting if they were exploration-based. I was kind of trying to push things that way with my own little agenda there but people took the reasonable choice and didn't follow the footprints made by an ancient and probably dangerous robot.
I am writing A Thing.
This is the first two parts of That Thing.

==Preface==
The sun shines upon the land of Pundora...
"Once, a long time ago, the entire land was plagued by the forces of an evil wizard, a shapeshifting monster in the guise of a human. As a testament to his rule and power, the wizard erected a large tower, visible from all points of Pundora. No one had the power to stand up to him, his minions, or his subordinates, living in fear and persevering against his attacks, hoping that someday, things would change."
"Today, Pundora is different. The tower meant to instill fear was destroyed and dissolved, now replaced by a spiraling city, one of peace, all thanks to the heroes who came to Pundora's aid. Here we have a journal of one Rajilla Calimar Madro, one of those who stood up to the wretched wizard's forces and won. Today, on the anniversary of his defeat, we shall have it read aloud, for all to hear."
The crowd applauds, made from older people who had heard the story a million times down to children who will hear it for the very first. All of their excitement is without limit, without oppression, as everything should be... but not as it always was...
==The Rising Tide==
I suppose that before I do this, I should leave a record. So here I go, what led to that day, what happened on it, to us, to me, and to that bastard that tried to kill us all.
It was so many months ago, though I remember it as if it was yesterday, when I had no choice but to flee from my home and flee for my life. I was exiled from my homeland, with only a few possessions, a single well-wish, and a single clue to a mystery that had plagued me for my entire life. With unexpected aid from the DORFs I was allowed passage on one of their ships to what I thought was the last place anyone ever saw my parents. I went to Pundora.
It was here on that DORF Ship that the seven of us met together. Myself, Steve Saxxon, Iorni Dalis, Michael, Skeggi Peterssonn, Victor Ferro, and The Farmer. Each of us had our own reasons for leaving our homes and we initially stuck together out of our common crime. We were all wizards, capable of some sort of magic, each specialized in something different. For this we were shunned, disgraced, and banished. We had out internal battles, feuds, and moments of betrayal, but at the end of the day, we had each other. And though that was all we had left, it was definitely enough.
We had a 'warm' welcome upon landing on Beepuncher, after receiving supplies from the DORFs and making our way into the lands of Pundora, we had an unexpected guest make his way into our caravan. He was a wretched man, a disgusting liar who only wanted to intimidate and anger us. We never learned his name, but this time he claimed to be my father. Though I later learned that this was a lie, characteristic of him, it is still something that plagues my mind.
At first, we just wanted to find a place to settle, keep calm, and live out our days as best we could. We quickly found that this had an imposed difficulty. Something always came up, a minion or a conspiracy, and though at first it seemed to be random acts, we came to the conclusion that they were premeditated. It was that nameless wizard, sitting in his tower, complicating our lives to the point that we knew that the only way we would know peace would be to attack back. The discussion on the night we made that choice was heated, none of us really knew what to do. We knew where he was, as his power was visible from all of Pundora, but we didn't know what we could do.
In our search for finding something or someone capable of informing or helping us, we found ourselves helping others. All across Pundora we came across other creatures, other people, plagued by the wizards rule and in dire need of help. Though I didn't know it at the time, all of the aid we gave would prove to be vital much later and right now as I write this. Our work went on for a few weeks, until we stumbled upon an abandoned fortress machine. The ancient creature initially tried to kill us, but after it was attacked by one of the wizards subordinates, it decided to help us, at least temporarily. The fortress sent us into the semi-sunken realm of the ink-creature. We reached the center of its realm and were greeted by a statue, oozing with ink. I succeeded in destroying it and its inkstone children by freezing the ink inside. On his empty throne was something called a Golemstone.
Michael, the Diviner was able to see the Golemstones' history, telling us of their power and past. According to him, it seemed that when the wizard came to Pundora, he and four other beings grouped together to subdue the land's guardians, Golemgolems. He sealed them away, took their energy, and placed it into four Golemstones. Each one of his subordinates had one, meaning that we now had a lead. If we could find and defeat the three remaining subordinates, we would be able to awaken the Golemgolems and hopefully defeat the wizard.
Through rumors and whispers, we learned of the identity of two of the other keepers of the Golemstones, a large, raging mountaintop Dragon and a forest-dwelling Witch. Without many words we decided to go for the Witch first.
The Beru Witch Forest was filled with dangerous animals, most of them a species of bear. We dodged the experimented upon creatures and even attempted to help cure them, although it was difficult. At the center of the forest, covered in the fur of the poor creatures, was the Witch, grinning with confidence. Despite her ability to summon and transform herself, we succeeded in defeating her, though it was only with the aid of some Orcs that we had befriended.
With two Golemstones recovered, we reluctantly made our way to the lair of the Dragon. As it turned out, climbing the cliffs would prove to be the easiest part of the day's quest. Even now I look on that day and can still remember the fear that we all shared as we fought the giant beast. Steve almost died trying to save me. But despite the close call, the Dragon fell.
At this point, we had three Golemstones in hand, we were wounded, tired, and without much morale. Taking advantage of the fact that we had no leads on the location of the last keeper, we opted to take a vacation of sorts, making our way to the capital of the Singing Orcs. However our rest was interrupted, as it always was, this time by the ancient fortress.
After leaving us to defeat, or in its eyes, to die from, the inkstatue, it slowly tried to accumulate power enough to siege the Tower of the wizard, thinking itself the true ruler of the land. It failed and instead was stopped by the wizards final subordinate, a very trusted and powerful minion. We agreed to help it fight the last subordinate in the skies. What followed was... terrifying. It was worse than anything I could ever imagine. But we won.
With the four Golemstones in hand we made our way to the sleeping place of the Golemgolems and we started on what would be the most difficult battle of our lives.
