His patch notes said "three tracks added" but unless he also renumbered every track I can't find any in the music folder ):

The Library theme is new, and there are new jingles played when encountering an Angel room and uncovering a Top Secret room. Other than that, not sure.

Hmm I hope the drop rate of the polaroid has increased accordingly, otherwise this is going to be a pain...

God damnit, I just finished a run without finding the polaroid, and I blew up two purple machines. I really need those epic items.

Is the ending the same thing as if you hit "credits" on the main menu? Just yes or no please, no spoilers hahaha.

Yeah, the angels are way worse than Isaac because they're tanks and start swarming you. On my last run one of the angels teleported ON me somehow.

I have really bad luck in this game. Any times I have tried to go to a deal with the devil I get Krampus and I just met Ultra Pride. I only just beat Mom my first time on the run with Super Pride.

So bloody penny + IV bag is pretty great, I spent like an hour feeding machines coins and hearts until they exploded

And then died in Sheol after fighting It Lives for five minutes, it turns out arcade machine items are useless if your character has the firepower of a squirt gun

2nd time reaching Isaac as Isaac

2nd failure seconds away from victory

Damage powerups + flying = win. If you aren't doing the leet deeps, or if you can't avoid the hax enemies, you lose.

I'd imagine almost everyone has, I'd scroll back a few pages if you want to hear opinions on it

Oh hell yes, finally got Dark Boy. It started out with an extreme case of "I can't get hit" due to a devil deal in Caves 2 bringing me down to literally no hearts. Besides that, these Depths just weren't really that hard at all, and the Mom fight went pretty fast...I wasn't fully paying attention but I'm pretty sure she took the last 1/3rd of her HP out herself, so that was nice.

Now I've just got to finish a few more challenges and start hoping to see the Polaroid a lot more.

the only possible downside to getting the dlc is that it gets way harder to collect the original items when the new ones clog the drop tables

Re: The Binding of Isaac: A Journey into the Pits of Some Scary Dark Places

So I was having a reasonable game, I was playing Judas and had picked up the Wafer, and I had already skipped two treasure rooms (they had active items that weren't better than Belial), so I figured I'd finally unlock samson, and probably also clear the womb again thanks to my wafer.
And then Peep decided that all he would do for the entirety of the fight was his jump.
Y'know, the attack that is far more dangerous than anything else he can do.
And then I died and was pissed.
...I could be completely wrong though.

Aha; finally got to the actual final ending of the game.

The last boss makes so many runs inviable as getting a bunch of fire rate items as opposed to damage ones, although ostensibly similar, kinda screws you over as he only shots when you hit him. Not to mention you need to find the Polaroid first.

Speaking of which the Polaroid dropped when I beat Mum, not sure if that's part of the new update or just good fortune. Anyway I got Brimstone and then Polymepheus which seemed to increase the charge up time but boost the damage to crazy levels; I was killing everything in a single beam and could knock half the health of the final boss in one shot.

Also found all the Guppy items in one run so I was some sort of floating laser cat, which is neat I guess.

Re: The Binding of Isaac: A Journey into the Pits of Some Scary Dark Places

I've finally unlocked all items and got all no damage achievements. I also defeated the last boss with Isaac and ???. 6 more times and I'll finally be able to stop playing.
EDIT: Also, the same happened to me, Halos, that's the only way I defeated ??? with ???.

Re: The Binding of Isaac: A Journey into the Pits of Some Scary Dark Places

I was in the depths one, with a load of great items. However, I was at low health, and my Little C.H.A.D. was proving to be a complete piece of shit. I figured I'd just run into the shop and buy some more health before taking another crack at the room right before the boss room, which was full of four knights and an Isaac face knight.
    Say it with me:
    GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!

    and then I died.
...I could be completely wrong though.

Greed is incredibly irritating if only because he wastes your Shop/Secret room.

Looks like this latest patch did indeed boost the Polaroid drop rate; apparently if you do 'really well' it'll drop once you beat Mum. Not sure precisely what that means, but I would think it means taking minimal damage during the Mum fight or in the preceding levels maybe?

Also fixed the spawn rates of the varient bosses amongst some other general bug fixes.
