Blazes give 10 exp each, so they might actually be the best mobs to farm for it as well. And I might suggest building a general mob farmer if you're pursuing eyes.

I also used my intuition to find an intact stronghold by building a nether portal at the nether fortress I've got a secure path to, and lo and behold, a frame just twenty blocks or so under the surface on the other side of the lake, with a jungle biome going the other way, and lots of livestock for farming.

They've added too much stuff for it to be 1.2.6.
    I'm betting it's 1.3

    (also)

    BETA 1.3: Added more halfslabs.
    RELEASE 1.3: Added more halfslabs.

Dudes I cannot get custom water and lava to work in 1.2.5 anymore with mcpatcher.

    Please to halp. Very frustrating.

e: Nevermind just used optifine instead, worked first try

Well that depends on what exactly you are doing. Are you installing additional mods? If so, which ones?

Alternatively, you can switch to using optifine instead, it has mcpatcher, among other things, built in.

    So guys
Should I use my non-prototyped Dersite skin, or my harlequinne'd one?

I call it... Dichotomoose. I like the name significantly more than the structure. Shapes are hard.

And without seeing either skin, harlequinne'd seems like the obvious answer.

Harlequin'd is an awesome prototype, so yes.

They're the same, it's just Harlequin is more colorful while the no prototype one is grayscale.

I know 1.2 has been out for a while, but I haven't been playing.

I am so hype about upside-down stairs. They open up a whole new world of structural possibilities. Not only do they look cool, mobs cannot spawn on them. So mob-proof level flooring!! That to me is a big deal. I'm no longer a slave to lighting requirements.

They'll likely fix it eventually, they want you to be a slave to lighting requirements.

They shouldn't. You can already do the same thing with slabs, this is just more conducive to decorative applications. You really have to go out of your way to do it and it's resource intensive. It feels balanced to me, especially considering the usual quick fix for keeping mobs from spawning (torches) are plentiful and readily available.

Re: [Minecraft] General Dig-scussion Thread 2

I'm still waiting for a truly dangerous creature/entity of the night to be added.

I believe I posted these before, the idea is for a creature or collective called the Spites. They are beings of pure shadow, and only appear in pitch-dark places. They die instantly in light, and only drop half-useless essences of shadow when killed with a sword with fire aspect... (Which in turn could be used for invisibility potions or something) They are a regular creature except for their key purpose. Although it's been drowned out by the silverfish, as a swarm creature. Once a spite has spotted you, it rapidly begins to multiply and will surround you, doing very little damage. Once they reach a certain number, though, the damage really starts to pile on. They're like leeches, and once attached, are only removable through use of a light. They scatter from low-light, but die within a meter or two of regular torchlight. They also drop no experience, as to discourage mob-farming of these dangerous beasts. They sometimes amass into a Spiteful Mass, which can actually remove torches. This means the only way of completely fending off underground spites is by use of Glowstone or Lamps, or even Lava.

I still prefer it with the dark green wool instead.

I figured this was exactly what they would turn out to be for. I bet you can get more money and better goods out of a more populated village too, which would be why you would want to add to them. As opposed to now where you do it just 'cause. That's pretty much why you do anything in Minecraft though.

I wonder if the substance the coins are made of is minable. Possibility for counterfeiting, hehe.

    Looks like it

I am no longer active on MSPAF.

I can probably be found at Hidden Level.

Did it really have to be another red ore block.

I'm sure that's gonna be easy to distinguish from redstone in dark caves.
