So as you can tell from my personal title, or just about any post I've made here, I like making charts of events in Homestuck. It helps me organise my thoughts about the comic, and makes the complexity a little more penetrable.
I've been keeping a timeline of the comic for over a year now, and over the course of that year I've made a whole host of other visual aids to help people figure out how Homestuck works. With Cascade changing so many things and inspiring me to mess with so many of my charts, I figured it was time to make a thread central to all of them.

Still the crown jewel of my efforts, this puts every event in Homestuck in chronological order. Dividers break up different timestreams, and over time the timeline has spread to several worksheets, so check the tabs on the bottom. From Act 6 onwards everything will go in that third sheet, because dividing events between the four kids and five surviving trolls on opposite sides of the sheet would be incredibly unwieldy.

Relationships Chart

Beta Session
The relationship chart lists what every notable character thinks of every other notable character. It grew out of a basic chart that listed the primary romantic (or potential romantic) links between the characters, but that quickly proved inadequate.
Eventually I split this chart into two. They may become one again as more characters interact with each other. This sort of information is getting increasingly hard to present!

If, like me, you're a stickler for getting the specific colours characters use in text, you'll want to save a copy of this. Contains RGB codes in both hex and denary. Naturally this doesn't change very often, though with the post-Scratch session coming up it probably will soon. Ish.

A simple count of how often each character has died. Note that everything from the second row on was in Act 5 Act 2. About half of those were Jack Noir.

Much like the text colours, these are the hex codes for troll blood. The top row is the colour that troll types, the middle row is the colour that troll has bled. The bottom row is the colours seen on the Grand Highblood's wall, just about the only place we've seen other trolls' blood. There appear to be only 13 troll blood colours counting Karkat's, but that may just be the only ones that appeared in the comic.

Back when the trolls were new and didn't have names, this helped sort out who was who. We're now all familiar with the trolls, and few enough have survived, that it's simply unnecessary.

Dream Bubbles

During the dream bubble sequences in Act 5 there was a lot of temporal weirdness and this might have helped keep it straight. Except there aren't a lot of connections and the way I made it kept the whole thing a real bitch to update, so I gave up on it. May get replaced if more dream bubble shenanigans happen in future.

Back when things like Grist were still relevant to the comic, I kept track of what types had appeared and where they fell on the grid, under the impression that we'd eventually seen them all. Not all of these names and placements appeared in the comic but they are Word Of God - I PM'd Andrew back in Act 4 to ask about them and that's what he told me. More varieties appeared in Act 5 but now it seems a bit too minor a matter to bother him with. Odd how being in the music team has made me more apprehensive about talking to the author.

Here's an effort to categorise the specific pages that we see particular milestones happen for all of the characters. Good for getting an overview of the patterns in Homestuck. Caution, these are large files!

Certain toys in Homestuck have changed hands so many times - even across universes. These charts map where they've been.

I'll add more to this thread in time, and mainly it's a place for both me and you guys to keep track of what I've done, if you find it helpful. Any corrections or suggestions are welcome.

Maybe for the next version of the relationships grid (if and when that ever happens), you could make the text the colour of the character in the vertical column, or even make the cell that colour? It's kind of awkward having to scroll up/left to see who you're reading about, and it'd be easier to read if you knew which row and column you're on at all times...

Are you taking additions? I have an HSV hemospectrum I charted and haven't been able to use anywhere.

Hmm, it looks like the chart I linked isn't the one I had that was most up-to-date before this; that had coloured borders for each tile indicating whose row and column it is.

Hue/saturation/value. It's an alternative way of specifying colors, with the caveat that it technically describes a slightly different color space from RGB, and conversion between the two is not entirely precise.

By the way, those circuitous route maps are still around, and of course you can add them here if you like. They're based on your versions.

Ah, the HSV charts aren't mine. I just happened to know the term. Anyway, the timeline charts are here and here.

A lot of people seem confused by how the players/trolls going back through the portals worked, so here's a rough image.

Note we don't actually know anything about the nature of 'some session'. It could be the the green session, it could be the session UU is from, it could be neither, could even be both. We just don't know. We may even never find out!

Also, this indicates that the Sollux hanging out with Aradia would not have the memories of the Sollux who died on the meteor, which is possible I guess?? But then in what sense is he a half ghost if he is completely dead? Additionally, he can leave the dream bubbles, which constitute the afterlife, so there is a part of him that isn't now in the afterlife.

This soul-splitting thing seems to be largely speculation to me. The stated reason for him dropping his bifurcation gimmick is that he became blind, probably because his gimmick was due to his two differently coloured eyes. He used the 0's because he was doomed, and when he became a half-ghost he started using half 0's because the alive half of him is still doomed.

I've updated the Timeline, the Death Toll and the Relationship grid to reflect what's happened in the comic since the intermission.

I've updated the timeline again. I'm also working on an update to the relationship chart. I will be splitting it in two, as between UU, uu, Meenah and Aranea there are altogether too many notable characters with too little co-interaction for one chart. One will have the Alpha teens + Autoresponder + UU and uu + Aranea; the other will have all the older characters + Aranea and Meenah + WV and Davesprite.

I'm currently working on a Spreadsheet Template for a Shipping Chart. I also have a Classpect to Player chart (in Spreadsheet form). it was originally designed by another user to represent passive active classes and class opposites, the problem is with UU's newest info is that part doesn't work anymore, but the connections between Class-Player-Aspect still works. I'll upload them soonish.

With all the characters we have now, I ended up splitting it into two.

The Alpha session had the four alpha kids, UU, uu, AR, Aranea and Meenah.
The Beta session has the four beta kids, the surviving trolls, WV, Davesprite, Aranea and Meenah.

I'm guessing because Jack caused the Reckoning which sent the meteor that killed Nanna before she was a sprite???
