This is a community project in which we make fantrolls, but only those which are descendants of the canon trolls. One male and one female for each pairing.

The problem is, trollkind can reproduce with members of the same sex.

So, first thing we have to decide is that are we going to include possible results of same sex pairings or not?

If we don't, we only need to make 72 trolls. If we do, we're going to need to make 264 trolls total.

Once we've decided how many we're going to make, let's discuss how we decide blood color, and also, power heredity.

This whole project is probably just headcanon building and possibly also a creative exercise which means there is no need to be an ass about it.

well theres a LOT of people on the forums, and if you really get things going here, it'd definitely get a lot more people involved, so id say allow the same sex pairings! people can always do more if they need to, so long as they like it of course :P

I'd love to participate! I enjoy editing sprites, so I'm willing to make more than one.
As for deciding on blood colour, in my headcanon, the trolls share the blood of whoever shares their gender. I'll use Karkat and Terezi as an example. If their child is a female troll, she'll have teal blood. If it's a male troll, then it'll be a mutant candy red. I know it doesn't make sense in biological terms, but honestly, when has Homestuck ever made sense in when it came to sciency stuff? Plus, consider the canon troll's ancestors. They all share the same gender. I'm not saying we should go with that, but I figured I'd throw in my two cents.

@OrangeAipom: Those are fantastic! However, I think you should probably remove the eyelashes from the left one. I think that might be why it's hard to tell his gender.

Oh, and if we can claim pairings, I'd like to do Karkat/Terezi and Tavros/Aradia. :>

I'd rather we work things through systematically, starting with Karkat's kids, then Aradia's,, working our way all up to feferi. SO we're alll nice and organized.

How about for some of them, especially the ones we can make puns out of, we give them traits of that pun.

Nepeta x either of the seadwellers' male children would have long moustaches for example. Because they would be Catfish.

As for my suggestion for any of Kanaya's children, for Kanaya x Eridan, they would sport Wizard Fashion. Kanaya x Gamzee would sport Clown Fashion, for example. This isn't strictly necessary, though.

Original outfits would probably be better, yeah. A child may not necessarily sport the same fashion as their ancestors/parents. Maybe something slightly similar, but not the same. The symbols look really cool, though. They're quite clever.

So I just decided on a 'vriska polo' for the male one and a really tiny one for the female. Hmm.

I like the middle female Karkitten, but that might be because it already somewhat resembles my female Karkitten. Though, the colors aren't 'trolly'. Like, with the shirt being brightly colored and all.

The male Karkitten's mouth was really wide and that bothered me. Other than that, I don't know what I was trying to do.

I know you'd rather this be systematic, but I was struck by inspiration at school today so I'm going to make a male Vriska x Eridan for fun.

The sprites are great so far, but I agree that the clothes should be duller in colour, or maybe black/grey with a few coloured accessories.

Anyway, here's the babby trolls I came up with for Karkat/Terezi

I'm pretty happy with them, but feel free to point out errors or give suggestions. If they look too much like clones or "fusions", then I'll gladly change them.

I'm going to work on Karkat/Kanaya next, if that's alright.
