That's a good idea, you decide to locate and talk to one of the other pilots. Oh look, there's a one of the other pilots right there, on your bunk.

He introduces himself as "Jedd Smith", and lets you know that his friends call him "Red Jedd" (ostensibly because of his hair). He then proceeds to remark on the cautious but casual manner with which you conduct yourself, and suggests that you have what it takes to be one of those people. You feel like you can get away with bandying a few words before making up and offering a name of your own.

hello this or something just like it would have been posted last week but I was sick

in case it isn't obvious, the dialogue options tie into the two potential Big Outcomes (destroy the submarine or don't destroy the submarine). however, the only options that I will use as cues to change things in even a medium way are the ones with further actions following them in parentheses, in this case, the last one only.

we're going to do this democratically, so vote I guess.
