This could be your wriggling day, just as well as it could not be. It doesn't matter.

Tonight you and seven other young trolls will be playing a game. A game that'll change your lives forever.

A so called SGRUB.

Maybe you got the files sent to you by one of your friends. Maybe you were one of the trolls who helped program the game mechanics. But all of you happened to not be alone upon joining the chain.

Be it because you had a visitor, you were said visitor, or you just had a robber invading your hive, you were not alone. None of you were.

Unlike many other sessions that have surely come and gone before yours, you have a different challenge. Learning how to work as a team. Your natural troll instincts won't work well with that of course. You're a violent creature, you don't need help. But you have no choice.

In the Medium, you and the other players will find yourselves scattered across only four lands, in pairs. You either learn how to work with your partner, or keep him out of the way somehow.

Yep, yet another SGRUB chain. As if there weren't enough of those already out there. But as you've already noticed, this one has a new twist to it. Players have to go in pairs. For some reason or another, paradox space set this session up for that to happen. So trolls, the most violent, loner, and nasty race you can think of, will have to work together from the very beginning. Or not, who knows.

Because of that, we'll need to make a bit of planning before the RP actually starts, if only to settle who'll go in with who, and the order in the chain. I might end up making a separate IRC channel for that, I'm not sure. There's also a few specific spots that'll have to be filled, but I don't think there'll be much of a problem with that, not with the sheer ammount of fantrolls this fanbase's produced.

Anywho, let's settle a few rules here before anything else.

-No godmodding: this includes overpowered characters. Be reasonable with how you make your troll. Sollux could shoot huge laser beams out of his eyes, sure, but that always looked painful to me in the comics. Make sure your character is balanced. They can have a strong power, but if they do they also need something to balance that out so they're not too powerful.
-Stay active: I don't want a post every day, no, but I don't want people that'll join and then just disappear without a word after a week. If you're gonna have to stay away for a period of time, say so in a post here. If you stay unresponsive for too long, and doesn't even answer to PMs or anything you'll be cut off the RP. I don't know how much time will be necessary for that to happen, that's a worst-case-scenario, but I'm already telling you it can happen. If you think you can't keep up with the RP, quit instead of disapearifying away.
-Be nice: since in this RP we'll need a bit of coordination between people, don't be an idiot. That sounds harsh, I know, but better safe than sorry. If you can get in with someone you already know, even better, it'll be one less pair we'll have to make. But if you don't, I suggest getting to know the other RPer, out of the RP, so you two can plan things better and easier.
-Posting and stuffs: this RP won't be fully text or picture based, it'll have a mix of both. So, you can keep it mostly text, but for important moments, like a sprite prototyping, someone entering the Medium, or other things you might deem important enough, get a picture to go with their bit of text. Oh, and a picture of your trolls room would be nice too, for their introductory post. You don't have to make a text wall for every one of your posts, but try to make at least one decent paragraph. For an easier time coordinating the two trolls's actions, you and whoever else you end up with should use a Sync.in or equivalent, to write the post together. That's your best bet for a fluid post, with both characters actually staying in-character. Also, if you don't have Pesterchum for whatever reason, I'm sorry to say you can't participate.

So, yeah, eight players spots, two are already taken, one by me, and one by a friend of mine, but the other six are free and open. If you're interested in joining, send me an application via PM like the one down there. If you want your troll to fill a specifc spot, please say so in the PM you send me. You can add a land and consorts and stuff too, but that'll more likely get changed to suit both your troll and whoever they enter the Medium with. Your title and moon are also subject to change, so that there are no repeated titles or an uneven ammount of dreamers on each moon.

Don't worry too much if your spriting skills aren't that great, I'm willing to make you at least a base sprite, just so that everybody has one. And you can just draw all of your images on your own, so there's no need for sprite edits.

Once your app is accepted, just post your troll here, minus the SGRUB bit.

Your name is Nefeti Amunra, an 8 sweeps old sandblood who lives at the edge of the Alternian desert.

As it says up there, you take a great interest in fashion, one of the few trolls that does. You not only have a keen sense of fashion, but you also have a good proficiency on the process of making fashion. As in, making clothes. You're very good at it. Belonging to the yellow caste doesn't give you as much money as you'd like, so being able to make finely tailored clothes for highbloods is a good way to have an extra income. And you get around too, you have many contacts, and quite a few aristocrat friends for a yellowblood. It's a surprisingly profitable business, and gives you the exra ammount of caegars you need for your other interests. Well, your other hobbies often get in the way of your whole "being fashionable" thing. You mean, sand and paint blotches aren't very good-looking.

Another interest of yours is archaeology. The desert close to your hive seems to be full of old ruins just waiting to be explored, sometimes with treasures buried in them, so that's what you do. Early in the night, you'll go out in the desert, in search of ruins to explore. Sometimes you don't find any new ones, but when you do, you'll mark them on your map and eagerly explore their confines. And when you find some kind of long-forgotten treasure, you feel like you just won in the lottery. This interest has led to a great understanding in ancient languages, and a knack for deciphering various codes and finding patterns on things. You're also fairly good at noticing details that most would overlook.

Finally, you have a liking for painting. On those times you go out in the desert but don't find anything to explore, you just go to a high point and paint the landscape from the prettiest angle you can find. You have quite a few paintings dcorating your hive because of this, and it also makes up for another way of income, albeit a muuch smaller one. But hey, you'll happily take any caegar you can get your hands on! That's one of the reasons why you used to Flarp regularly when you were younger. You just have a soft spot for jewelry. You don't care if it's usually seadwellers that wear those, you'll wear your golden accessories proudly!

Of course, that means you've been almost robbed more than a few times, so you've learned to fight and defend yourself pretty well. You're not the absolute best, but your skills help. You have a weak telekinesis, which allows you to move around small and light objects. You mostly use it to help you with tailoring clothes or digging up ancient artifacts in a ruined temple of something, but it can still be useful when you're fighting in a place surrounded by sand. You just get a bit of sand from outside, pull it in and throw at your opponent. It's a bit of a cheap tactic, but hey, you gotta use what you can to survive, right? Or, keep your belongings you guess. Whatever, that's beside the point.

You have a very optimistic demeanor, and somewhat sophisticated as well. Not that you go out of your way to use complicated words or anything, or look down on those lower than you on the spectrum, but you do think of yourself roughly at the same level of, say, a blueblood. You just hate it when higher-up trolls disregard you because of you blood color. You can, and will try your best to prove to them that you can behave just as properly as a blueblood or an indigo. Thoguh, since you're all ~sophisticated~, you'lll rarely turn to violence to drive your point across,. You'll try to coax them into hiring your tailoring services. It's the best way you have for proving your worth.

One could ask how you travel around so much. It's only thanks to your lusus that you can do that. He is a car-sized scarab named Horus, and he has his own shiny half-golden saddle and reins, that you got through Flarp a long time ago. He's a great lusus, and very helpful, keeping your hive's ground floor free of the sand that's constantly getting blown from the desert. Your weapon of choice is sickleKind, and you use, again, a golden sickle also acquired through Flarp. Yeah, you were very good at Flarping back in the day. Your Fetch Modus is the Symbols Modus, where each captchalogued item get a different hyeroglyph/rune associated to them, and you have to remember which one it was to retrieve said item. And last but not least, your trolltag is boldBeauty, and you Type With The Finest Quirk.

Your name is Keebos Daymin, and you're not a water rat! Well, your lusus is, but not you! You like your lusus, he has a fin on his tail, and webbed feet, and fin-like ears... He's pretty cool. You love him, even though he left you out in the wilderness while you were still a grub. But you know it was to make you stronger. And it did too! You're survived a whole perigee all by yourself, with improvised tools and stuff, until you managed to get back to your hive. So now you make periodic trips out to the middle of nowhere, with the help of Rythm (your lusus). You blindfold yourself, and mount him, and he takes you somewhere, drops you off, and runs back to the hive, and you have to find your way back by yourself. Which made you a master of survival.

But wait a minute, that's one of your interests! Okay, let's go through all of them. As mentioned, you're a great survivalist, and often research on the subject. Being a seadweller, albeit a very low one in terms of seadwellers, you'd be expected to be extremely loyal to the hemospectrum, but you're not! Because hey, you've had to ask for help for many trolls before, in your many survival trips, although you prefer to avoid doing that. Some lowbloods sometimes take the chance to try and kill you while you're weak, because of hate toward the caste system, so, depending on your state, you either run and set up a trap, or stay and fight.

The first one led to a second shameful interest of yours. Well, not much of an interest, but still. You have no problem at all with eating troll flesh. Yes, you're somewhat of a cannibal. What do you think you do with those that get caught on your traps? Don't worry, you may be a cannibal, but you're not a sadist, so you give your victims painless deaths, usually by breaking their necks. It's the easiest way really. And then you just proceed to dice up whatever troll you caught and roast the meat before eating. You think you've eaten at least one of every caste at some point in time. Your favorites are brown/orange, green, and blue. And seadwellers just taste like fish. Bleh.

Well, you've gone through surviving and cannibalism, what else... Oh right! You love to act! When you're not running for your life in some forgotten place of Alternia, you practice your acting. And your lusus is the judge, though you see he doesn't like it when you make him watch you perform. At least he's a fair judge. You're a pretty good actor. And since no good actor would be caught ashamed in a dancing contest, you've trained that too. So you can dance and act.

All of this surviving thing made it so that you could fight very well. You're pretty strong and flexible. And despite of that, you've got a simple build, not particularly strong-looking of big or tall or anything. Not that it matters. If anything, it's good, because then people might end up underestimating you and giving you an advantage. You have a simple Fetch Modus too, the Stringy Modus. You just get a string around your wrist for each item, and you just gotta snap one to retrieve whatever item you want. Easy to do with these sharp buckteeth you have.

Oh, you almost forgot. When you go out to survive like that, you always take your PDA with you, which is especially built to survive water, fire for a limited time, and falling from pretty high. Even if you're in the middle of nowhere, you still got friends! And staying completely alone for too long isn't very healthy for one's sanity. You communicate with the castawayRodent tag, and you talk with a simple tone, because usually you're not focusing on your PDA completely, keeping yourself wary of your surroundings. And you can even use it to talk to your lusus too, because he knows how to type.

Your name is Lantak Hommes and you are the greatest detective in Alternia. At least, that's what you tell yourself and everyone you meet. You enjoy deductive reasoning and solving puzzles using said reasoning, as well as solving mysteries. You've even solved some real, actual mysteries, ranging from missing items, to murders. Of course, your best cases involved the murders of blue bloods, and finding out it was one of the many lower bloods who did it. And by best, you mean you got quite a paycheck from the blue blood's friends. That's where you get most of your income, private cases to solve mysteries.

You also have a bit of a weak point for romantic stories. Primarily those of red or pale persuasion. You've dabbled in the ashen quadrant for a bit yourself, but most of the auspistices you balanced did not last long, as the others involved grew too violent. Then your memory grew a little fuzzy, and the next thing you remember are the others never speaking to each other or you again. It's a mystery you have yet to solve.

Some think that was where you got your scars from, all these dangerous cases, getting on the wrong side of some people, but you're actually rather kind to everyone. Even higher bloods treat you with some grudging acceptance, rather than contempt. You are polite, even-tempered, and almost peaceful, though you have no complaints with getting down and dirty. No, the scars come from your lusus. He's so incredibly violent. Sometimes you think he's actually trying to kill you. You suppose the good part about the situation is that you know how to defend yourself. As a result of your lusus' incredible ferocity, you spend as much time as possible away from your hive, solving cases or hanging with friends. It's hard to sleep when your lusus is constantly attacking the door of his locked room.

Your name is Semick Perram and you like things done your way.

You are excellent with ELECTRONICS, whether it's BUILDING, PROGRAMMING, or USING them. Your respiteblock is filled with breadboards and grub-drives. It has been a personal project of yours over the last few sweeps to AUTOMATE your hive. It is filled with computer-operated devices and even has an elevator. You love being able to afford this with your blueblood status, and you feel TOTALLY AWESOME for pulling it off. You admit that you might have installed this stuff because you're a LITTLE BIT lazy, but you're pretty sure the effort to put your system together makes up for it. You also own some server mainframes. Of course, even in your caste, maintaining all of this equipment is expensive. You make money by renting out the use of your servers for website hosting. Some trolls will pay you quite a few caegars to host their files, blogs, or advertisements.

Your large hive is located just outside of an upper-class lawnring. You can't exactly be in the middle of nowhere if you are a server host, or even if you just want to stay caught up with the latest technology and video games.

Outside of your life on the computer, you have a superiority complex not uncommon to highbloods. You are CLEARLY smarter than nearly everyone you meet. Okay, so you're probably not the absolute best at everything. Even as far as computer skills go, there's probably 2omeone better than you out there. You still like to think and act like you're the best, though.

You are a bit of a CONTROL FREAK. You like things done your way, and you are not afraid to openly call others wrong. It's not unlike you to just intervene and take over someone else's activity yourself, since that's pretty much the only way you feel like can be done right. You almost never ask for HELP on anything either, and that has almost led to problems on a few occasions. It will probably cause problems in the future too... While on the subject of your flaws, you also have an unusually strong fear of small bugs. What if one just decides to jump on you and crawl all over? It creeps you out.

You can be considered a HEMOLOYALIST, since the spectrum puts you in a high position. You show a little respect to INDIGOS and SEADWELLERS, but anyone lower than you doesn't matter very much. You would have no problem harming a rustblood if he/she attacked or severely insulted you, but you would try to keep your cool if a highblood did the same. It takes something pretty major to actually impress you, like finding the ruins that became your biggest coding project...

Your lusus is a FOX. He's pretty clever, but he's not around much since he hunts at night. He's also sneaky, which bugs you. He's so unpredictable. Computers, however, can be programmed to be predictable. You are IN CONTROL of them, just the way you like it.

Your STRIFE SPECIBUS is set to crowbarkind. You can not only pry stuff open with it, but you can smash others' heads in, TROLL GORDON FREEMAN style! Your FETCH MODUS is BINARY. For instance, to retrieve item 10 in your sylladex you have to say 00001010.

Your name is Enkiis Caduce, but nobody seems to pronounce it properly, so everyone calls you Enki. You are eight and a quarter sweeps old and live in a hive in the middle of freaking nowhere because when it came time for you to build it you decided that a recent warzone looked like a delightful place for a home, apparently the fact that parts of the region were still under fire made it so most wouldn't agree with you. Your blood falls somewhere towards the upper middle class, being a deep greenish color, but you don't really care too much for the hemospectrum. All blood colors are interesting to look at when they're pouring out of someone.

You are, hands down, the number one afficianado of morbidity in the entirety of Alternia. You love learning about death and murder and corpses and will often start conversations with outrageously inappropriate questions or factoids about things ranging from cannibalism to autopsy, to the stages of rot some of your deceased neighbors are in. Of course; for those able to look past your idiosyncracies you are probably one of the most kindly, non(verbally)violent, and easy to get along with of your race. You don't make empty threats, you don't yell at anyone even if you're angry, and you won't swear unless you're on the brink of bashing in someone's head with a shovel.

That isn't to say you can't get physically violent, merely that you prefer not to waste your anger in speech or text., and instead expend it in physical altercations. Your lusus, SSSir Pentiusss saw to it sweeps ago that you were able to defend yourself... mostly by trying to eat you whenever you let your guard down. It used to be that he would attack you every single day, but as you've grown older you've grown wiser; you keep stuffed mongooses on hand which you use to abjure him when he attacks, and always have your shovelkind strife specibus well equipped with something with which to aggrieve your hardboiled guardian should he start getting that look in his eyes... You find that burying the poor chap alive tends to get him off your back for a few days after he digs himself free. For a while after that he'll settle down, even going so far as to wrap himself around you for attention and warmth without trying to strangle the life out of you. He's a good Lusus, really... he just want's to make sure you're able to take care of yourself. Unfortunately because of him you've become a bit jumpy and sometimes hit first and ask questions later, as such all of your friends have been warned not to be too quiet around you as you may think they're sneaking up to attack and hit them or throw a stuffed mongoose at them. While at first the mongooses were simply kept around because they scared your Lusus you've actually grown quite fond of them and begun a real collection. There is almost always at least one of them with you at all times.

You also like to sketch what you see, especially people, and you're told you're decent at it. Most of the time you have nobody to draw but the dead soldiers decomposing in wastes all around your hive, but every now and again you convince your friends to sit still for you long enough to get their likeness down on paper. For this purpose you always keep a sketchbook and an assortment of drawing instruments captchalogued.

Oh! That brings you to your modus. You tend to favor a type of Modus known as the 'Dire' modus. It's known for being temperamental, and causing people issues as it seals away and hides items until such a time as having them is utterly crucial. As such getting your art supplies is fairly tricky, seeing as you generally end up getting your papers crumpled and drawing supplies broken using them to defend yourself from the assault of a friend you asked for just to get to them. The stuffed mongooses, on the other hand, are simple. Eating you is almost always on SSSir Pentiusss' mind, and as such you can pretty much get to these whenever he's around.

Living so far from most others it's generally a whole night's trek to get to one of your friend's places, and as such you generally don't bother, and neither do they; instead you spend a good deal of your time on Trollian, aspCoroner is the trollhandle you favor these days. Zeems yøu tend tø speak with a bit øf an ødd accent that søunds føreign, and yøu always øver-emphasive MØRBID tøpics like DØØM, DEATH, and CØRPZEZ.|---D

I just figured cause his blood is hue 150 like Kanaya. But then again, it is just a little darker. If brightness and saturation matter in determining "Jade" status, than I guess he is outside of it.

Your name is Eiffie Morrom and you are obsessed with EQUALITY and EVEN NUMBERS. You even changed your name to reflect this.

You spend most of your time COUNTING things and making sure everything in your hive is in ORDER. You are usually very QUIET and NEAT, two qualities that are unusual for one of your kind. You do, however, love to FLARP as long as there are equal teams and you beat an EVEN number of other players every time you play. You also enjoy PAINTING, as creating a balanced canvas relaxes you. Because of your obsessions, you are easily STRESSED and easily OVERWHELMED.

While you are not as VIOLENT as most, you stick very closely to the LAWS of society and the hemospectrum. Without laws there would be total CHAOS, which is one of your greatest fears. Therefore, you are very quick to point out any ILLEGAL activity. You also like to be in CONTROL, because other trolls usually do things the WRONG WAY and make everything UNEVEN.

Other trolls call you OBSESSIVE and WEIRD. You have what you call an ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY, meaning that you fall into habits easily and have a very hard time breaking them. You hate CHANGE. This is why you generally SELL almost everything you win through FLARP, because having too many new things in your hive makes you QUEASY.

Speaking of your hive, you live in a simple, SYMMETRICAL hive near the shore with your lusus, JELLYMOM. You used to get robbed quite often, but now your hive is protected by rows and rows of STINGING PLANTS that your lusus is immune to. You need to wear special GLOVES to get in and out of your hive, because you are not immune to the stingers. You wear these gloves at all times.

Eiffie sounds a bit like Semick. They both follow the hemospectrum and hate it when things get out of control. Either they'd get along, or they'd be constantly arguing over who is right.

Either way, they probably shouldn't be at the same hive :P

Fun fact! My first fantroll was in an RP where we split up in pairs to play SGRUB. It wasn't even planned, it just became necessary since half of our cast was hiveless. XD

My troll there was a nice guy who would probably work well in a team. Where's the fun in that?

That RP died because of various problems that I do NOT foresee happening in GeminiStranded. It looks like we've got almost everything covered!
