HAve you tried debugging? And this one might sound silly, but make sure your macro folder is in good order.

My notifier broke down completely because I had it set to a Custom Macro that I had actually deleted.

I went poking around murderstuck and found a couple of pages with Kanaya that I liked and turned them into macros.

Made them with and with out the rainbow drinker glow, the ones with the glow look much better on darker or black backgrounds obviously.

what colour should i use for the trasparent background to work?

The proper color for the transparent background is

R=213
G=218
B=240

Also you have to make sure the image is not in "indexed" mode, in Gimp click the image option then the mode option and switch it to "RGB" mode then you should get the right color.

I learned a lot making this, and I hope I can put what I learned to use in the future.

(Idea is similar to the most recent slew of Kanaya ones Crettert made. Which are awesome.)

Do you guys think that the second line of text flashes up for too short an amount of time or shall I leave it as is?

EDIT: Also possibly too big? I didn't really notice while editing.

The Idea is great, but you need to make the background the proper color. THe Notifier only sees that weird grey-ish blue as transparent.

The size is okay, but may bring it down jus a tad so that Rose's entire head is in the second panel.

Otherwise, this is really good.

I think the second position flashes too quickly. Lengthen it with 10 more eyebrowframes.

Shit, I was working on a better version but my editing program messed up on some resizing shizzle and I ended up losing all my progress.

Recently downloaded this (and added a bunch of the macros from this thread because they are awesome) but whenever I log in a window pops up asking me what program I want to use to open the file "lastupdate". There's an option listed to "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" but its greyed out and can't be selected. Does anyone know how to stop this from popping up all the time as its slightly annoying. Also for some reason mspanotify is listed four times in the customise section of my taskbar notification area icons. Not an actual problem like having lastupdate pop up all the time is, but still kind of weird. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Ee. Sounds like something went wrong there. Is it possible you downloaded the file multiple times?

I just looked at my own file and lastupdate is openable with Notepad, so you might want to try selecting that. I hope that helps.

Also, I made this the other day and forgot to post it here. I am no sure if I like it as much as the Kanaya one, but I am still pretty happy with it.
The out lines and see through shit fades away when it is one a proper background and transparent, rather than on a periwinkle background like it is here.

Worked out what my problem was. I'd previously put MSPANotify into my computer's startup section so that it would automatically run. This had been causing issues though as it tried to look for my macros in the same section, so I had to move it back onto the desktop. Even though I'd never moved the "lastupdate" file into my computer's startup section a copy of it seems to have appeared there at some point due to the time that the main MSPANotify application had spent there. This is why it kept popping up whenever I turned on my computer. Still no clue why MSPANotify is listed multiple times in Notification Area Icons (twice as MSPANotify and twice as MSPANotify.exe) but it doesn't seem to be adding any more listings beyond those four so I'm not really too bothered.

On another note, in addition to the various macros I've seen on this thread I found this pretty neat one of Vriska playing with her dice over on Skaianet.

The guy who programs MSPA Notify, MrFreeman's favorite character is Nepeta, but I don't think he's made any macros.
