    Fallout: NV [hiatus forever]

    MIRROR
    Also on Tumblr!

Right now the adventure is- Updating at it's normal pace.
This adventure updates once a day or once every two days on weekdays and once or twice a day on weekends if nothing is in the way.

Don't know Fallout? Want to read this adventure anyway? Here's a cheat sheet for Fallout terms, keep a tab on this open while you read!

Want your Oc or yourself in this adventure?

I would like to inform you guys that if you have any Ocs at all and would like them to be in the adventure at some point you can just post them here or pm me and I'll be glad to use them and draw them. Course if your Oc is from a non Fallout game they'll have to be falloutified but I'll be glad to do that and show you! If you do send an Oc make sure to say what you would like them to be (random enemy, shop keeper, Fisto's accountant) though if you can't think of anything I'll be glad to take them and give them a role myself. If you don't have an Oc but want to some how submit something to be in this I can make your avi a character (as you can guess with heavy changing up) or you can describe a character to me. If you have an forum adventure I can use a character(s) from there too.

    Re: Adventures in Fallout:NV

Great your playing Fallout New Vegas. No, you like the game, in fact you love it but Skyrim came out two weeks ago and you still haven't saved up the money for it. No matter, Christmas is just around the corner you guess and while you've beaten Fallout: New Vegas a few times that doesn't mean you can't do it again! You decide to spice things up by playing that weird mod that completely changes the whole game. You'd wonder who had the time to do all of that but your too busy looking at the hideous title screen. They took all that time to make the mod but they couldn't photoshop a better title screen? You click the words "click to play."

A few opinions pop up. You think about clicking continue, which you noticed has been spelled incorrectly, seeing as you have played this mod before and you had an old save file but your pretty sure you've corrupted that save file. You don't feel like going in to detail but some crazy stuff happened, crazy stuff your going to make sure doesn't repeat. You click New Game and get ready for the overly long set up.

The game wants you to pick the art style the game will be in, you think both of pretty lame but one of them has to be picked.

Ah yes, you suddenly remember that the game suddenly changes art style when the characters are talking. It didn't make sense but you probably shouldn't care. The game also wants you to pick how it would show the text box. Crappy texture overlay or solid block of annoying color?

    NEXT >
SKIP THE SET UP AND HEAD RIGHT IN TO THE GAME >>>
( Note you don't need to read the set up now that there are no more questions to answer so unless you want to read a bunch of questions and then the answers its recommended to just skip it. Though there are one or two funny jokes in the set up I guess. )

You pick the first art style because honestly why would anyone go with the one without a neck?

You pick the one with the crappy texture overlay but you change up the colors a bit. Your still not sure if you like it like this or the other way.

The next question comes up while you ponder what sort of text bar you want. It seems two people want you to join their group.

You were now starting to get in to the important questions. These questions would be what shaped the game you entered in to and would need to be thought about. Both of them seem to have their ups and downs. Course not picking any of the two was also an option.

Another question came up and you wondered why the game wouldn't just let you answer before going to the next one. This question was about picking who would be mayor of a town. It seemed to be between an old man and a boy and his robot.

Well three questions needed to be answered.
One- Keep or change the text bar?
    Two- Which group?
Three- Who gets to be mayor?

You figure you like the new text box more and click yes.

Well its nice to know you can change the thing around. Your not sure what the test character means by "say menu" Its not like the game can hear what you say out loud, what is this a creepypasta?

For the next question you click the orange guy. You were tied between the orange guy and no one but you decided what the heck and picked orange. Hopefully this wouldn't bite you in the ass later.

Does the game even know if your a female or male or does it assume that you must have a female companion even if your female?

Anyway on to the next question, you pick the old man because who in the world would let a kid and a robot rule over a town?

Tough luck kid. That's just how the world works, an old man just comes around and throws out your new super cool robot because you have better things to do like learning how to be a boring politician.

Ah, now you just getting in to the character creation part. Though this character will not be the character you would be using in the game. This is the Courier one of the most important characters in this mod. Last time you based the Courier on one of the Courier's you played as in the main game, this time you guess you'll just make up one on the spot.

Chaotic good tends to actively break laws, so...

    Neutral good female
Really just a small person in a big world, she tries to do what's right, but always seems to make things worse for herself and others. She isn't fond of creepy things, isn't particularly brave, and is terrified of large bodies of water. She's also a very moral individual and believes everyone deserves a chance, regardless of what they've done.

    Gender: Male.
Notes: "Laws are good guidelines, but if someone opresses or greatly hinders our freedom with them, is uor duty to break them." Generally calm, a good shot.

Ok so you want a guy...no a girl! Well maybe....you feel torn as to what you want so you make two profiles to pick from. One male and one female.

    Female
    > Alignment: (sliding to neutral) Chaotic Good
Shes a rough and tough gal who knows how to get by. She doesn't care about the rules too much unless they hinders other people's liberties. She tries to do whats right but sometimes it just makes everything worse. She also believes everyone deserves a chance, regardless of what they've done. ( She's also completely terrified of certain things but she doesn't like to admit it. )

    Male
    > Alignment: True Neutral
A generally calm person who's quite the shot. He loves the law much more then a normal person should but understands that sometimes the rules must be broken to help the people....or on rare occasions himself. His punishments for breaking the law have been time to time been known to be a tad harsh.

    Ok wait you got it.....

You pick the female to get it over with and head to the next question...or really, questions.

Oh boy this is going to be fun. At least the good thing is that after this you have one more question before you start the long process of making your playable character!

Re: Fallout: NV [BOY GET RID OF THAT ROBOT POLITICS AWAIT!]

Ah shoot sorry, I forgot to explain some of those terms for people who don't know the game.
Super Mutants are humans who have been mutated and are now like well, hulk like monsters. Some of them are crazy some of them are sane. Mostly crazy though. Some have been trying to make a nice settlement though and "Try" to get along with humans.

Ghouls are also mutated. I'd say they look like zombies but that would be racist. They look like rotten corpses and smell like it for the most part and they live very long. Most of them are pretty nice though most people like to kill them. There are feral ghouls who lost all sense of humanity and go around killing everything in sight so humans hate of ghouls are "partly" justified.

Mr. House is the leader of New Vegas (where this will be taking place) and is the Courier's boss for the most part.

The NCR is the New California Republic and is one of the few "good" governments around. They can be sort of jerks sometimes and they tend to handle way too much then they should. They have good intentions though.

You can skip any question that you can't answer if you wish.
