Why wouldn't he build a robot for the person who he genetically has two children with?

I can just see him going up to Lalonde with a bot and saying "Happy Valentine's day hone-"NOWAIT.THAT'SATERRIBLEMENTALIMAGE.

Why? They're not genetically related, only Dave and Rose are (well, and John and Jade but we're not talking about them).

There's no proof they aren't.

Actually neither. Jade and John are as related as Rose and Dave. Ecto-paradox cloning only... Remember, the only natural birth was Dad coming from Nanna and an unknown grandpa. And I think that fact won't change at all in the Alpha session.

Er, it kind of has to, given that Nanna is younger than Dad? In this universe he's the son of John and an unknown woman.

This is why duplication theory makes sense. Well, it's not proof that they didn't do ectobiology, just that they didn't create themselves.

Is there any proof that, on their first session, the trolls had no ectobiology?
They're a post-scratch session. They had ectobiology.
The kids were a pre-scratch session. They had ectobiology.

We have been told that the pre-scratch trolls were not created in the session which they played. An obvious inference to make is that Karkat's ectobiology was the source of the players from both sessions, but it's not confirmed.

By extension we have the meteor duplication/bifurcation theory which says the same thing happened to the post-scratch kids.

Scratch tells us that the first troll session was destined to fail because theirs was not the session where they were ectobiologically created. The Sufferer, who WAS created by Karkat, remembers his preScratch life, suggesting that the two were one and the same.

Adding to this with the kids' universes, Alpha!John has the exact same book that Beta!John did, only older (because he switched places with Nanna/Jane in meteor arrival). Meteor split is a much more likely story than Jane writing that message for Alpha!John, considering that he and Alpha Rose, Dave, and Jade don't participate in Sburb and become the heroes of Breath, Light, Time, and Space.
