I'll make a mental note of what those traces are like, then go check out the marketplace.

Anything particular you will look for at the marketplace?

You're going to say that every single time I try to shop for anything aren't you? Perhaps I should look around to see if there are any items which can indicate the presence of hostile creatures in the area.
Yes, i am. It simply works better that way, itemwise~

He is a bit behind. you may or may not notice that he is keeping an eye on her.

Takumi: You are surprised by the odd look of the girl. If you recall correctly Implings usually have horns, but then again you may be mistaken. You'd simply tell her to mind her own fucking business usually but the creature watching you makes you apprehensive. You answer in a relatively polite way.
"The captain just went in that direction. You can't miss her, she's a little girl with goggles and a funny hat."
You say while pointing in the direction Selma just left in.
Should I assume that I found nothing in the marketplace?
nah, i was going to get to it after dinner. which is now...
After asking around a bit, a friendly shopkeepers points you in the direction of a traveling merchant specializing in 'finding stuff'. Or rather, selling stuff to let people find stuff.

I'll check how much gold I have. I also think that a gold indicator should be displayed on the first post in the character profiles.
I think so, too. I will add it just before the start of chapter 2.
Also, you have 30 gold.
I really should see about getting a new signature.
Wait. That doesn't sound right. I am pretty sure that I had 20 or so gold before I received the 100 gold and I only spent 70 after that.
Did you?
In that case, i messed up somewhere, since you're only technically supposed to end up with 100 by the end of chapter 1.
Sorry :l

I'll cast Historica on my wallet and see if I can't figure out who stole some of my money!
You do so, and, in conjunction with another spell, a faint blue line appears to your vision, assumably tracing the culprit. To your horror, the blue line points directly towards the fourth wall...
Ahem. It would seem i am to blame. No look i am over here. yea i know looking at the wall is taboo and all but im talking to you, its ok. What? Oh alright, fine, lets pretend i stayed silent.

I'll mutter something about stupid gods stealing my money and then go look for Torhald.
Bohw's expression falls flat and gives the man a bit of a stare. She's been doing that a lot lately.
"...Seriously?" Bohw responds, skeptic on how truthful his answer was. At the same time however, it's kind of hard to understand why someone would lie about such a thing, so she believes him. "Euuyeaaahokay. Alright..."
Mayor continues watching carefully from a distance, keeping his protective gaze over Bohw. He tries to see if he can recognize any important or notable faces in the group of people leaving the airship.
Then Bohw starts walking in the vague direction the man pointed her in and calls Mayor by his nickname, urging him to follow.
I actually completely forgot about social stats there, but it was never stated that the character with the highest intimidate will intimidate anyone with a lower intimidate regardless of what they (characters with highest intimidate) are doing without possibly being intimidated themselves. If Takumi was being intimidating, sure, he would intimidate Mayor, but I think the stat mostly applies to NPC's. If Takumi were to try to intimidate Bohw Mayor would become hostile towards him regardless of his intimidate stat.
Long story short, Takumi isn't trying to be intimidating so Bohw isn't intimidated. Takumi is also still quite capable of being intimidated by others, even if they have a lower intimidate stat than him, though the effects would be less. Besides, PC's are free to react to each other how they want as long as they stay in-character, regardless of social stats. If anything, social stats for player-to-player interaction are just a guideline. Also, my post stated that Takumi was 'apprehensive' which has a different nuance from being flat out 'intimidated'. Especially considering the recent events around him he couldn't exercise any control over it is natural he is apprehensive when encountering people he is unfamiliar with, especially if they have an Armor Golem as a Bodyguard.
Well, that didn't turn out to be any shorter, but I hope you get my point.
Sjasoguns got the right of it, though it should be mentioned that Mayor has a problem with 'turning off' his intimidate cos hes a fucking armor golem, which isnt a state that is easily transferable into stats and all that.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. To be fair though, I wasn't saying "stick to your stats", No that's silly, I was poking fun at the fact.
Additionally, I seemed to of made a mistake in my command, the mistake being I never actually said that I'm going in the vague direction of Selphy left in, because I am stupid forever. I'll edit that in.
Thrice cursed blue screen of death... *mutter* update *mutter*

Mayor isnt noticing nobody he knows, he is busy getting lost in the philosophical question about individual identity and what the fuck the deal about that is. Which is funny, because he is like not philosophical. He almost doesnt notice when you call out to him. (roll 1)
Anyhow, you follow the vague directions. Luckily, the street continues on for a little while, though you see noone of the description the fellow gave. After a little, the street opens up into a small square. Two inns placed across from each other. One of those funny cathedrals is placed on the other side of the square from you, and a prestigious bookstore over to the side. A nearby street connects to the central marketsquare, not so far away. Several hawkers are trying to interest the passing people with various offers, avidly strying for attention, with varying success.
So, what now?
im not a god i just dont have anything better to do than be your monologue :I
Torhald mentioned that he was visiting the fortress, so you head up to it in order to watch the entrance for signs of him. After only a few minutes, he emerges from the fortress and, when he spots you, makes his way over. "Oh, hello, why're you waiting out here?"
It seems that there are more inns than tavern in this city. You find a tavern a little down the streets, but by the looks of it, it looks to be the type of place that the sons of noble's and well-to-do merchants would frequent. You ask around for the location of a proper tavern. Theres a good, if ordinary one, just a street over, but those you ask also mention that the city's best tavern is the Dragon's Tail, though apparently it is a little farther away than the other one.
So, where do you head?

I'll inform Torhald that I was waiting for him and ask if the local nobles believed his story.
"Well, whomever is in charge seemed to be too busy to see me, even after i convinced them to send a messenger to him with an outline of the situation. I talked with a lower-down lord though, and he said that they already knew of the situation, but that they did not know that any city had been attacked yet, and that they would investigate soon. I told him what i could, then left." He sighs.
