Is there an option to have a lowercase chumhandle like "uu"
I think I may have found the problem on my end it keeps saying bad access and invalid address each time it crashes. Can anyone tell me what this means?
Find me on it at...
cryogenicGateway
When I try to go into pesterchum, i get a "pesterchum error" and it gives me two options: "open console" and "Terminate"
when i open the console i get this:
It used to work! What gives?![]()
I have the same problem with the console/terminate issue, except the program hasn't worked once for me since I first downloaded it. I've tried downloading it several times (I should mention that, for me at least, its the Mac version), but with no more success. (I would like to note that I have posted twice about this and not gotten any sort of reply. I appreciate that everyone's working hard to assist people and make things run smoothly, but I couldn't help but be slightly annoyed at how many others received help for their problems so quickly, even complaining about not being answered within an hour, while I have been patient for almost a month now.)

Perhaps you should filter abscond people form the "Random Encounter" option?
Can I get some help with my newest quirk? I have a SERIOUS amount of quirks added to fix previous bugs, but all of those worked. Now I have a single phantom space that cannon be replaced, even by a regexp / simple replace at the end of the quirk line.
My quirks:
Regexp "'" with ""
Regexp "^(\w+) " with "\1] "
Regexp "^(\w+)(.)" with "<c=#662966>\1\2</c>]"
Regexp "^(\w+)" with "<c=#662966>\1</c>]"
Regexp "(\w+)(.)$" with "[<c=#663300>\1\2</c>"
Regexp "(\w+)$" with "[<c=#663300>\1</c>"
Regexp "^" with "["
Regexp " (\w+)(.)$" with " \1\2]"
End with "]"
Regexp "]]" with "]"
Regexp "] ]" with "]"
Regexp " ]" with "] "
Regexp "]</c>]" with "</c>]"
Regexp "[[" with "["
Will look like:
EE: [PHANTOM] SPACE DIES [FOREVER]
Everything below this is optional.
Regexp "] " with "] ["
Regexp " [" with "] ["
Regexp "]]" with "]"
Regexp "](\w+)]" with "\1\2"
Regexp "](\w+)" with "\1\2"
Regexp "[[" with "["
With these, it will look like:
EE: [PHANTOM] [SPACE DIES] [FOREVER]
Edit: FIXED!
Also, adding in the finalized code to the post just in case anyone wants something similiar to it.
Also, I may have forgotten the exact function. On the space [ or space ] ones, you can just do simple replace, if it gives you an error you probably should use it with normal replace.
um.. i've opened pesterchum about 11 times without it opening, or having any response. help?
http://pastebin.com/w2d7Fw8r
so yeah, when i use pesterchum, i can't hear sound from any other programs i'm using. i can't hear music i play, youtube videos, not even the 'poit' from skype.
little help?![]()
From what I can tell, the sound files for Pesterchum are spread out over the directory system, each one located in the directory dedicated to the theme to which each sound belongs. From what I can tell, the complete list of Pesterchum sound files is here. This is, of course, what I found when trolling through the directory system of my linux box. Things might differ if you run Windows. Regardless, I imagine this should be of significant help. If you find that the list differs significantly from your directory system, I'll probably be able to find the sound files for Windows as well, so feel free to PM me.
Oh, and the directory '.' here represents the main directory for the pesterchum source files.
Aaannd, I know that's way too much information. I don't actually know which sounds are which, sooo . . . . Yeah. I just, like, found a bunch of sound files, assumed the correct one would be in there, and went on my merry way. But that should provide some basis, at least.

I am currently in school. As such, I find that I can no longer continue forum activities. So till next summer, adios!
If Its Just Pretending To Open For About 3 Seconds Or So, And Then Fading Out, Then I Would Recommend Doing What I Did When Mine Started To Do That. It Fixed Mine Up Just Fine, And It Might Work For You. Try Running A System Restore By Following The Directions here. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...System-Restore
When You Run The System Restore, It Will Take You To A List of Programs That Will Allow Your Computer To Reload Past Data From That Time, And It Will Not Effect Your Pictures Music Etc. Click Back To A program That Was Installed BEFORE Pesterchum Started Not To Work. After Doing That Your Computer Will Take Itself Back, And You Should Try Opening Pesterchum Again That Way. If It DOESN'T Work, Go here For Undoing A System Restore. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...System-Restore

For ease of reference to everyone else, alarm2 in that theme is the memo alarm. Now if only I knew why strifekind doesn't have it...
EDIT: Okay, did it. Go into your theme folder and right click 'style', and choose 'edit'.
Change the "memosound" part that says "alarm2.wav" into "alarm.wav". It will change it into the same sound as normal pestering. Be sure to refresh the theme afterwards!Code:"sounds": { "alertsound": "$path/alarm.wav", "memosound": "$path/alarm2.wav", "ceasesound": "$path/cease.wav" },
If you replace alarm2.wav in the default "pesterchum" theme with some other sound, it appears that that will carry over to strifekind. I guess that the sounds located in the default theme are used in other themes if the sound isn't defined . . . ? I don't know how you would go about changing the sound just for strifekind though. I tested it, though, and it seems to work.

no it's just.. not doing anything when i click on it. when i click on 2.5 pesterchum it works though...
Strifekind does not have alarm2 because alarm2 did not exist when strifekind was created (by me)!
As another note, if any theme doesn't have a chunk of code or sound or what have you, it'll fall back onto what the parent theme has. It's why lots of the theme modifications have a lot less javascript than the base Pesterchum 6.0 theme.
OK, so until recently, pesterchum has worked fine. But since maybe three or four days ago, it completely stopped opening. It'll show up on the processes list for a second or two, but then it disappears. I did some looking around and all I could find was to use the debug version, and this is what I got: http://pastebin.com/VvPWhd0d
I'd really appreciate it if somebody could help me out here!
Help, I just downloaded Pesterchum, but it's not working! It worked fine for a few hours after I downloaded it, but not it's just not opening! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it didn't work.
I was banned on pesterchum. My permanent IP is 178.66
I am really sorry for my behavior and I promise to fulfill all the requirements In the future.
I really want to continue to use this program. Thanks in advance.
P.S Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.
