You guys both have the same problem: you most likely have a "ó" in your username. It sucks because unfortunately there's no workaround short of changing your username. I will post an update for you guys to run asap.

Fix for this is now in the repo. Yay for one line bug fixes!

Ah. Then, it is more of a "folder placement" thing.
by that, I mean, when I place the themes from the ZIP into the appropriate folder, (and then promptly restart pesterchum) the theme won't work. (This would be an exe problem wouldn't it?)

I suspect you stacked your folders when unzipping! Eg. Pesterchum/Themes/Battlechum/Battlechum. There's an extra layer of Battlechumness, there, that prevents the theme from working!

aaaah shit, I did something wrong, I'm really stupid, when I tried opening the debug version it didn't open but I took the errors anyway from the debug text file, so my error does not really appears there. Should I just wait for the new version? is there any other way I can get the errors?

Hmm...does Abscond remove you from qualification for being picked in a random encounter? If so, adding a forced "Abscond" after 5-10 minutes would be handy to prevent this, GD.

Loads a bit then nothing. Went to local app directory and my default profile was in the stated file, so I don't know what's wrong with it really. Tried opening the my profile file in hope that it might somehow work, but it tells me that there's an unexpected ";" somewhere. I check the profile file and there isn't any ";" anywhere to delete... //stupid.

It worked perfect the first time I tried using it, I signed out/logged off, then switched off my computer, when I tried accessing it again it just refuses to work. I tried opening it with task manager around, and it doesn't appear there at all either. I'm using a windows vista if that helps.

I am new here so I don't know how things work, but I tried to download the PesterChum Application to my computer (I have a mac), and it downloads fine but when I try to run it, a message pops up saying "Pesterchum Error" and gives me the choice of opening the console, and terminating the request. I don't know what I did wrong! How do I fix this?

Post the content of that file please? I can fix it for you. (In case you're curious, it says "Expected ;" which means it's expecting to see a ; that isnt there.)

Hey, so I went off to work today and set myself to offline in pesterchum and left it running only in the tray. When I came home pesterchum had opened another instance of itself and was asking me for what username to use? I just closed it up (the extra instance) but it had been randomly pestered while under a generic pesterclient username, so I feel bad for whoever tried to talk to it. Is this a known issue?

I don't expect it will work; I'm interested to see if you get any error messages written on the screen when you do this. Those error messages will help me understand why it isn't working.

I'm using Windows XP SP3 and I'm new at Pesterchum, it's the first time I downloaded it, it seems to install fine but when I go to my desktop and open it/click it/run as, nothing seems to happen, it doesn't opens or anything, I hope you can help me out here, maybe I'm doing things wrong or something, thanks for your attention!

Seems to be working fine otherwise.

Chum list should transfer; your chumlist is in pesterchum.js. The tricky part with moving files is that Pesterchum 3.41 will actually move them when it runs; I just had people move files during the installation step just in case they accidentally got written over.

I was completely wrong about that error; the "Expected" error means your Windows tried to run the file as Javascript instead of editing it. Open it in Notepad to edit those files.

HOWEVER, I don't think your problem is there. Can you post the content of your pesterchum.js file? I think you've got a default profile that doesn't exist in your data location.

So last night my wireless was being really wonky, and I kept connecting and disconnecting to Pesterchum, this morning I'm finding that I can't even log on to my default profile cause it's already being used, but there is no open Pesterchum in my tray. Is there anything I can do? Or can I just ask a mod to ban my Handle for like three seconds?
