Quantum LeapQuest Prelude: The Waiting Room

You awake in a room. The walls are all blue, and seem to emit light. You have no recollection of how you got here. You remember drinking in a bar with your mates, and the next thing you know, you were standing here. Seems like a nice enough place.
Your clothes have changed as well. You are now wearing this STRANGE JUMPSUIT, and standing in this futuristic room.
    You call out,

You hear a door open, and a man steps though.

Al steps out of the room through a FUTURISTIC DOOR. Until this Gushie bloke turns up, you need to find something to do.

You stare blankly at the wall for a while. This door which Al opened seems to be getting in the way though.
    Hang on a minute...

Looks like no one's around. Perhaps you should leave and look about New Mexico for yourself; you've never left the UK before.

You slip through the door, and sneak off down the corridor.
You glance round this corner. Ah, there's the lift.

Looks like this brightly coloured terminal thingy is the control for this thing.

A security pass? You don't have one of those, so it looks like you're stuck on floor -23.
Who designed this lousy computer anyway? It's beginning to hurt your eyes, with its bright colours, and lopsided screen.

You guess you might as well check out the rest of this floor while you're here.

    Just wait, it's an elevator.

You suddenly realise that since SOMEONE has to use this lift at some point, you can just wait until they call for it, and then get off on their floor, or ask them to press the surface for you.

Since you may be here for a while, you may as well get some sleep.

    Meanwhile, in 1979...

You are now DR. SAM BECKETT, in a smoke filled pub somewhere in England, perhaps the north. You can't really tell, but everyone sounds English.
You leapt in here a few minutes ago, and everything seems peaceful enough in this pub; you wonder what you could be here to solve.
Usually, when you leap into someone, you are there to put right something that once went wrong, but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong here yet, so you can wait for Al to turn up and help you.

Sitting next to you at the bar are two men, who you assume are friends of whoever it is you have leaped into.
Fortunately, they are deep in conversation, so you probably have time to find out about this place.
Now you need to find something to do until Al turns up and tells you where and when you are.

Order another round of drinks! Stuff might make more sense when drunk.

You decide that while everything's peaceful, you should get yourself another drink; this one won't last you much longer.

Well, you don't have another drink, but at least you've got all the names already.
The big guy is Chris, the small one is Ray, and your own name is Greg. You might as well see if you can find out the date.

Guess you'll have to ask Al when he gets here. And while you wait, your glass is mostly full anyway.

You've never had any "pork scratchings" before; you don't even think you've seen them anywhere.
Perhaps pub food's different over here. You never know, they could be nice.

Yep, these are definitely a delicacy over here, and you're sure this will taste delicious.

Oh boy these are disgusting why would anyone in their right mind eat them?

At long last, you hear the imaging chamber door open, and Al steps through from the future, to tell you what you need to do.

You know you should get outside, because no one else can see Al, as he is tuned to your brainwaves.
You'd look pretty strange having a conversation with thin air, so you usually find somewhere you can talk in peace.

You go over by the dartboard, and start to talk to the corner of the room.

You'd better keep your eyes peeled for this O'Leary, but he doesn't seem to be here at the minute.
You could go and look around the village for him, or you guess you could stay here and make sure Ray is safe...
