    @Mopomoko - that looks so wonderful! I love it!

    Also - I've finished the Nepequius backgrounds! (All but one - I'm still working on that one giant pan, but other than that, I'm done!)

    Speaking of the interlude... yeaaaaaaah, we should probably make the black king a bit more of a threat then to use a little throw away joke. We should build him up as the badass that he is.

    Mopomoko - I adore this!! Definitely do the others in that style. The coloring is fantastic!

    Artemis - these look great to me! A couple of the backgrounds are of varying size, but as I am not an animator I can't tell you if that is going to be a problem or not. In general, stick to the "bigger that 650x450" guidelines but these will hopefully be okay.

    Since we're being so productive, time for an updated list of needs!! I would also like to broach the idea of "Status Report Sunday" when all of the people who are working on various parts of the flash drop in to the thread to let us know how its going.

    1.Opening, Trolls fighting Dersites, Karkat's sequence - all totally done! AFROWOLF is working on stringing them together in Flash.

    2. Terezi's part - MULTIVERSAL INK is working on an updated storyboard for us so that we know what art assets are missing.

    3. First Interlude - in need of reworking so that it is black-king-centric. We need people to come up with coherent ways to make the Black King more threatening in a way that incorporates as much of the previous storyboard as we can, which means that we need to start brainstorming what can be kept and what needs to be changed, and then come up with a new storyboard.

    My personal opinions on this front:
    -The beginning with the webbing is good, as is the claw breaking the lilypad
    - Rather than spend lots of time focusing on the trolls getting off of the lilypads, which I think is our biggest distractor, maybe have tentacles grab them and throw them all around, some other black king attacks
    -end with the unbreakabow sequence, which fits really nicely with the music and which I think is very funny.

    Please chime in!

    4. Tavros' part. SID GARCIA is animating it, but needs some art assets that can be summarized as follows:
    Tavros (Sid Garcia is working on this)
    • Black King, edited to have appropriate injuries
    • Tavros in Car –, dodging, upside-down
    • Small Tavros
    • Many backgrounds
    • Tavros flying from the back
    • Tavros’s car being whacked
    • Tentacle batting tavros away (two frames)
    • The car plummeting towards the Lilypad (several frames)
    Before drawing, check and reference the frames here

    5.Kanaya's part - Almost done - CP is animating it, but is trying to get the original file of the chainsaw revving. If we can't get it, it will need to be redone, but I am holding out hope. CP, have you contacted jejajade/jelajade about it, or should I?

    6. Nepequius - ARTEMIS is finishing up the backgrounds, and ELICADRAGON is working on the introductory sequences.
    -We also need a picture of the black king with slashmarks on his chest
    -When these are done, we need an updated flash to check and make sure we've got it all.

    7. Feferidan - Effects of stabbing/shooting, and then Multiversal will put it all together in flash!

    8. Second Interlude - We need the following art assets:
    *Knights
    *black king
    *backgrounds for everything except Eridan shooting. We also have two other backgrounds. (reddish colour since there's heavy meteor rain during this part)
    *maybe some meteors, though that's not all that important...
    rearing black king...

    9. Gamzee. DREAM HAZARD is putting everything together in flash now.
    -Do we or do we not still need stormy backgrounds? Dream, do you have enough?

    10. Desperation. We need a lot of art! MOPOMOKO is doing the backgrounds.
    *Close-up on BK’s face, eyes sparking
    *BK blasting out eyebeams, first up and then out at camera
    *BK from side with massive eyebeam explosion
    *BK reaching out sceptre
    *Meteors descending
    *Battlefield in flames
    *Black King with battlefield in flames
    *Zoom in on Vriska standing facing away from camera

    11. Vriska. Psych is reworking this, but will put out a call for art soon.

    12. Finale - PYRANDA is working on the final scene.

    ....PHEW. PLEASE VOLUNTEER FOR ART ASSETS and correct me if I got anything wrong.

    Thanks for all the positive feedback here! 8D I'll make sure to do the rest of the Desperation backgrounds to follow that one then.

    As for other assets, I am willing to do any other backgrounds, since it seems like we need loads of those still compared to everything else. Maybe for Tavros's part, if no one else'd like to? I am also am willing to volunteer for some tentacle and troll assets with the first interlude if we end up going with that.

    Also I would love to work on Vriska's part once it's up and available.

    Yes, I've contacted jelajade, haven't heard back from her yet. Right now I'm working on the crabclaw slashy bit and it's transition to the flowy dress bit and making the backgounds cloudy and such... Normally it shouldn't take that long but my computer is acting up...

    I honestly don't know what I should pick from the list of assets needed... I'll do any of them given to me. I do totally call dibs on the Equius Unbreakable Bow sequence, but we need to revise the black king interlude first

    Thedude - basically, we need you to go through all the wiki pages copy all of the art assets that are supposed to be for the first and second interlude, and put them in the correct page. You can get descriptions of the kind of art you need from the storyboard section of the wiki. Hopefully there won't be too much that needs to be transferred, if any at all! Boring, I know - but by verifying that everything is in its proper place, you'll be assisting us

    Mopomoko - Once you've finished the Desperation backgrounds, Tavros' backgrounds are yours! Hopefully by that time SidGarcia will have posted an updated swf for you to reference.

    Pyranda - great news, can't wait to see the finished version (as well as to be done myself ;p)

    In unrelated news, somebody other than me has edited the OP and it appears to be in order to add fancy text? I profess myself baffled. Anyone able to explain the source of that?

    I had some free time today and made several Tavroses!

    I hope these assets fit as many frames as possible. (The smoke is always in a different layer - two for animating; anyone can modify these layers in case the smoke trail needs to be longer or anything.)

    Woah, there's been some posts in my absence!

    Point one: RE: The swf. It was never an issue, I've got offline backups.
    Point two: I only have some clouns so far, no backgrounds. To be honest, I have those covered myself anyway, so I can put them in as and when that way instead of having to pick backgrounds, which would mean more work. There isn't actually any of my artwork in the project yet, and it'd be nice to have something
    Point three: My main focus at the moment is getting the original assets together or recreating them. I can recreate the assets if the original work isn't available but it'd be better all round if it was.

    Great! Go ahead and background it up, then. It sounds like you have everything well in hand, so just stop in to keep giving us periodic updates

    Dat animation on the Tavros stuff is so nice-the hair, clothes and smoke... unf. The only thing I can think of to crit them on is glare from a light source or things reflecting off the metal but that would a level of detail beyond what is likely possible for you guys.

    Im back again, guess the post about me being here all the time was for nothing, I've got a-levels all of a sudden.

    Good news is, I've finally got the latest version of flash, meaning that I can finally edit and compile the dersite battle and Kohila's intro

    Sad Edit: Kohila used 5.5, I've got 5.0

    Well, I don't actually know where the light sources will be coming from, so. I guess I could add a quick reflective spark - but only on one of them, because that shit gets old. Maybe on the first one, which I assume will be the first in Tavros' part...

    As for stuff reflecting off the metal, yes, that's really kind of beyond us right now, since we're all working on different assets and someone else will be putting them together.

    Status update: Still haven't heard back from jelajade yet. So I've started to clean up the chainsaw revving part myself. Am also still kinda working on the transition to the flowy dress bit, just trying different things...
