    No, it won't! The goal is to track down the original .psd file. It looks like jejajade did the original storyboard, at least according to the wiki (although elsewhere he/she is credited as jelajade...?) so we are trying to contact him/her to see if we can get the psd file. Worst comes to worst, it will probably have to be redone, but we're hoping that's not the case.

    Oh man, that Kanaya sequence just made me so happy. You sure it won't come out by the end of the summer? Because it looks to me like this thing is well over half done with all of the assets put together. =DDDD

    Also I REALLY wish I could continue to help with this project... are you sure there's nothing left for non-artists/animators to do? :/

    Sorry I was gone for the past couple O' days! Went to an anime convention. Helped create Can Town (which was AWESOME btw). I'm back now though. I have the 1st of the 2 final Fef sprites done so... here it is.



    Mediafire isn't working for me right now, so no PSD file yet. Says something about a bad server connection. Imma try again later and post the PSD file for this sprite ASAP

On a side note, the Gamzee swf file on the storyboard is still not working for me - can somebody else check it out and either a) report that it's broken or b) report that my internet is terrible (a fact we already knew)?

    Thedude - Are you at all interested in miserable wiki plowing? Because we need someone to sort through all of the art assets to make sure that all of the first-interlude related assets are in fact in the first-interlude section of the wiki. Ditto with second interlude!

    Okay, so the results are in for the cogitationifying. At least in preliminary form. I'm not sure what jump is non-obvious, so I don't really have anything to say about that aside from what I already just said earlier in this sentence before I got on a tangent describing where in this sentence what I have to say is said, which would be at the beginning.

    On to other matters in a perhaps less loquaciously diarrheic manner. (All the words are mine today. All of them.) The transition to Equius bit itself is exactly what the storyboard for the transition called for and has called for for a long time. How Kanaya is to arrive at a place where the transition to Equius makes sense is a lot more open to perturbation. There is a lily pad Kanaya is heading towards in the shot where she chops off 8888Yy's claw. My suggestion would be to perhaps make Kanaya approach it more quickly, maybe shrinking as she goes, so that she is immediately next to it when the swooshy dress transition starts. Another possible solution would be to show Kanaya landing on a pad right before the swooshy. There are a few different options there, and some I haven't stated. I don't know immediately which would be best.

    Now, then. BlackholePA's concern about slicing the tentacle. Perhaps the top third of the chainsaw blade could be in front of the tentacle in this frame:

    Even though it goes by quickly, I think that one frame would be enough to say, yeah, the chainsaw sliced through the tentacle; it didn't remove itself from the body of its own volition. I am a little bit concerned that the effect of red slashes simply flashing on black background might get overused in the project. Something that could prevent it from becoming monotonous is making the last red slash open up to reveal the scene, much like what happens when Hysterical Dame kills Mobster Kingpin, except it would be coming from black background instead of HD with lipstick background. Just an idea. Doesn't have to be used there, but it could be.

    right, looks like i havent been able to do much but finals are coming up faster than i thought so this is probrobly the last thing i will do for a while though i may be able to sneak something else later. Gonna be busy for a while so in the mean time i thought id make the background for the Vriska Eridan flight.



    If i need to make another one for the Eridan close up let me know, really wish i could have done allot more but ill see if i can find time for a 20 minute bit here or there.

    Whow that looks small here, i used the demensions someone posted with an increased length for obvious reasons. Do i need to resize this?

    Legilos - it says that it's 1600x240 pixels when I click on it. Not exactly sure what happened, but it definitely got resized down.

    HM, I don't know what we should do about the Gamzee swf. Will investigate.

    Nimz - I knew awaiting that cogitation would be great!!

    I agree that the transition will make more sense if we have a stronger narrative sense of the lilypad that she's going for, which I think your making-smaller solution would accomplish. Also, I was thinking about it, and part of the confusion on my part is that her dress is moving horizontally across the scene - do you think if it were angled slightly up towards the diagonal, it might look better - like she was passing Equius' lilypad on her way up?

    Also, I am in love with that Hysterical Dame segment - especially since HD and Kanaya have the exact same weapon. However, CP - do we think it would be too hard to do? If not, it might be cool to have a Kanaya-themed image manip of the middle section. I guess I would make it CP's call, since she's animating it.

    Thedude - Thank you!! It's a rough job, but it will help us out a lot. Most of them should be there *hopefully* but it was much more disorganized bc they were made late in the game.

    Okay, 4th and final Fef sprite done! Really shouldn't have taken this long on 6 sprites that I made so big even though they'll be really small in the final animation... oh well. Sry if the size of all the sprites causes problems in animation! Anyways, are we still doing the unbreakable bow intermission? I'll start on that if so.

    P.S. The trident cuts of in the jpeg but you'll be able to fix dat in the psd file, so ignore that bit o' fail lol



    Oh my fuckin gog. Mediafire refuses to work AGAIN... sigh
    I'll try to get the PSD files on later tonight, if Mediafire decides to stop being a massive dick.

    Legilos - Since you aren't working on that, do you think you'd be able to do effects for the Feferidan sequence?

    Yes, those knights are supposed to be that small, they are for the beginning of the second interlude. The part where the king summons knights and meteors.

    Sketch - I am pretty sure we are still doing it - I know people were bandying about the idea of making the first interlude more black-king centric, but it didn't really get that far. Now is a good time for us to make the call on whether we should scrap that idea and use the storyboard that we have, or rework it significantly. I personally think that it is okay as it is, since it really is just the trolls getting blasted, but it might be cool to have a few other attacks thrown in to make the black king feel like more of a threat for this beginning section.
    Also, you are all done for Feferidan once you get the final psd up!! Unless you want to do the effects....

    Mopomoko - looks pretty great for cloud coverage to me! Maybe darker though, and with more red background light. I love the curved effect you have going on!
