I got to see Dredd last week. It is actually pretty good, which rather surprised me as it had the potential to be very, very bad.
But it sticks reasonably close to the comics, with a bit of modernisation of course. It's a bit dark in 3D as the glasses add to the already gloomy interior shots which make up most of the film but it's probably worth it as the 3D in some of the slow-mo shots is visually very cool.
Oh also several peoples heads explode over the duration, occasionally in slow motion. Which, come to think of it, makes it even more like the comics.
So yeah, if you're in the mood for a tense, gory action movie with a nice twist of satire then Dredd is far from the worst choice you could make.
Chumhandle: catatonicArtisan
Last movie I saw was My Neighbor Totoro. Which is something I'd never heard of and would never have thought to see on my own. But one of my friends (and one of the only people I know who shares my name) was having an early birthday party and decided to have us watch it. I spent much of the time squeeing at cute things. Also the catbus which was adorable and slightly creepy.
I just finished watching Team America:World Police.
I am very entertained.
It was pretty bad, but in that way you expect from Trey Parker and Matt Stone that is prett great.

I just finished watching Mean Girls.
It was pretty much my new favorite thing ever.

The last movie I watched was Kick Ass.
Kick Ass is the most epic movie in the world!
My reason to believe this is that it has crazy violence, is funny, has an extremely young girl completely OWN everything in her path, and Nick cage is in the movie which adds obvious bonus points.
Atlas Shrugged Part 1. Though if you want to be technical, I had Cartoon Network on but muted while Planet 51 played.
The last movie I saw was "The Green Mile" because it was recommended to me. It was surprisingly entertaining, though some of the scenes were unexplained and make no sense, the story was still substantial enough to be enjoyed. Oh yeah, Tom Hanks, great actor.
Lets be frieeeends, you and I.
The last movie I watched you say? That would have to be Battle Royale. Goodness I love that movie, it's just so sad.
Sort summary ahead:
At the millennium the economy in Japan crashed. Students started dropping out of school crime rates soared and adults where flipping out. So the government decided to put a stop to it. So every year 1 class of 9th graders is selected to fight to the death until only one student is left. So a class is chosen lots of death happens than two survive and run away.
Lame summary is lame. Oh and if you choose to watch it please note it is quite gory.

The last movie I watched was The Avengers on a flight from Vancouver to Winnipeg.
However, before that, the last movie I watched was Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Cary Elwes is amazing.
THE HUNGER GAAAMMEEEEEEESSSSSS
...Again. Saw it in theatres a while ago like, two weeks after it came out (nothing but annoying people talking, on their phones and texting. WITH SOUND AT FULL LEVEL.) and was at my church's youth group. THIS TIME I ACTUALLY GOT THAT THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS FAKE BECAUSE NO ONE WAS BEING ANNOYING WHILE WATCHING IG
| That's a nice thread you got there |

I just watched the second Austin Powers movie in robotics. I completely forgot how great that movie was...
Looper. It is good. While the premise is out there, it's the sort of thing that's character driven and you really feel like you get to know them so it's an enjoyable experience. It feels like it passes by pretty fast, but you still get a lot of little details about the world. I give it two bunnies up... two floppy ears up? Like... held up there in approval? I dunno. This is the first time I remembered this thread existed before I forgot what the last movie I saw was.
I also recommend Looper. I'm not sure what I have to say about it though. The twists are satisfying, and the word building reminded me a little bit of Philip K Dick, which is good for me. Maybe it will also remind you of something you like? The action scenes are really well choreographed and entertaining.
Credit to Shortpacked! for my Avatar, which is Clock King, which I colored green to make into a felt member because clock motif, but then ashdenej realized I did a weak job and gave me a better version without my even having to ask.
Your chumhandle is thricelyContemplated, and you speak with threee repetitions as oppposed to the usual two.
Moonrise Kingdom.
Wow. Gorgeous, all the awkward adorableness one could possibly want, and it manages to be hilarious without sacrificing seriousness or using slapstick or witty dialogue (which, while entertaining, are often used as a crutch).
It also feels very real, in spite of the obvious staging and setting up of events, I think because the characters are nicely understated and the dialogue feels very much like things real people would say. The obvious staging of events and the dramatic irony of the oncoming storm also makes it feel kind of like a play.
Also, I loved when the exposition dude at the beginning showed up again, as a real person in the story and with a direct influence on the plot.
*sigh* Kids these daze.
Anyway, back on topic, last movie I saw was Hotel Rwanda, about a month ago while I was donating platelets at my local Red Cross center. (They have the needles in you for about 2 hours, which is remarkably convenient for movie-watching.) It was even more awesome than I remembered. Lately, I've had a hankering for Spy Game (Redford is awesome in everything he does), but, well, no TV with me at college.
I have been watched out last movie is Avengers this is good and fully action movie and i watched this movie with
my friends i n cinema hall and we are all enjoyed very much while watching this movie together and we are
planning to watch new movie on our next weekend....
Finding Nemo in 3D. It was great seeing a childhood favorite more lively with the characters popping out of the screen!
