My bet is on the bucket bouncing off of Karkat's head, rebalancing the doof/nak to shoosh/pap ratio, which has recently been leaning heavily towards shoosh/pap.

And did you guys realize they found the Ahab Crosshairs...John lost it that time due to his windy powers, no? ;p

Since one of Jade's consorts is holding it, it's probably this one, rather than the one Jade got from Jake.

For more fundamental reasons, that have to do with the way HS-time relates to real-time, and essentially repairing the schism between these two clocks which resulted from the fact that about 24 hours of story took nearly three years to make.
