Guilty Pleasures: Music. It's Bad But You Still Love It.

I've come to realize something about myself: I like bad music. Not in the, "Oh, I think this is good!" sense, no. But in the sense that it endlessly entertains me. So, since I saw a thread dedicated to bad movies, I thought I'd experiment by throwing a similar one up for music.

I have many selections, but, first, I believe I'll start with some Shatner. This one can't be missed:

And then there's my personal favorite, "SPACE TRUCKIN'."

I'd throw more out there, but I'll wait to see if this thread takes off.
And remember, this isn't a "IT'S SO BAD I HATE IT" thread. Like B-Movies, bad music has it's own sort of charm.

I unironically enjoy 'Miracles' by the Insane Clown Posse on occasion.

And even while I listen to it and enjoy it with a smile on my face, I can't help but think "wow this is bad".

The song from He-Man sings. I listen to it completely unironically.
I also sometimes wonder why I have Paula Abdul on my iPod.

Any regularly bad song in the style of acapella.

Somebody Told Me, yeah, that was a pretty good mashup. Pjanoo is just a great fucking song.

Oh, and Around the World [Daft Punk] vs. Bust a Move [Young M.C.]

How about just Young M.C.? That's kind of a guilty pleasure...

That's your *guilty* pleasure? Man, that's either not as bad as you think, or we both have bad tastes.
As an aside, I love background tracks from late 80's-early nineties hip-hop. "HOO! HAH!"

Hair metal. It's so undignified that liking it is nothing short of depraved... I am sick.

On topic: I'm actually quite taken with the latest Metallica album. It is AWFUL and their fans are going insane over it, but I like it. I like it BECAUSE it's surreal and the lyrics make no damn sense. Lou Reed sounds like he's a drunken homeless man who wandered into a garage metal band rehearsal's and began to babble incoherently. It is so representative, to me, of madness and chaos. It is good because it is just. that. bad.

    I AM THE TABLE!

Lulu isn't bad,i mean it ain't an easy listen and it might be hard to get the lyrics (for me it was),but it ain't bad.I'd say average at it's worst.
And it was obvious that the "metal heads" would go batshit insane with this,i mean, they threatened to kill Lou reed before they even released the album ._.

Re: Guilty Pleasures: Music. It's Bad But You Still Love It.

Speaking of Metallica, is it weird that I like their 90's stuff better than their 80's stuff?

I'm not really guilty about it but I know guys who would like to strangle me for saying that Metallica makes a better rock band than they do a metal band.

It ain't weird, but in my opinion their 80's stuff is superior, however i have to admit that reload is brilliant. And i think that people reacted so bad to those albums because it was the most unexpected direction they could take after doing the massive ...And justice for all,i mean, compare the simplicity of enter sandman to the extremely long title track of the aforementioned album.

    Also:

Priest is one of the best bands ever, but this album was a load of crap (in my opinion) and i like this track.

Thanks, for linking me to that. It's... Wonderful.

Also, aside from that, what about some classic cheese? Nothing is cheesier than Meatloaf.

Why is there no power metal in this thread yet

Yes, that is Christopher Lee (aka Saruman and Count Dooku) narrating for a metal band

Yes, that is Christopher Lee SINGING A POWER BALLAD BACKED BY AN ORCHESTRA with said band

I swear Rhapsody of Fire's entire discography could go in this thread. There's actually good power metal (like Blind Guardian), and then there's stuff that's just so bad it's good.

    More examples:
