I would note, however, that the trolls barely saw Jack, yet alone his murder spree, and none of them have any doubt that their sprites were killed, therefore they all died before Jack arrived.

I'm tempted to say it involves denizens.

Trolls handled their denizens, don't have sprites.
Jade handled her denizen, technically lost her sprite.
Only characters who never interacted with their denizens still have sprites. Coincidence?

And at least one of the sprites handled a Denizen meeting themselves and he's still around.

I finally just finished reading all of Homestuck, and I feel like I had a million other questions as I was reading it, but those are the only ones I can think of now

He probably picked up or alchemised Zillyhoo at some point during the session or afterward, and it's likely he found Cal at Kanaya's hive, or one of the doomed Aradias put Cal somewhere for him to find.

We don't actually know any of this, though.

We don't know how he got Zillyhoo, but we know how he got Cal: he stole the puppet from Kanaya, either during the game, or while they were hiding in the lab.

(cal's timeline is pretty convoluted. gamzee created him in dave's dreams. he was sent to earth with dave's brother, re-entered the medium, and was stolen by jack noir. immediately after entering the trolls' session, jack threw cal at an aradia. she crash-landed on alternia, where sollux retrieved the puppet and brought it to kanaya.)

It's possible that John's is actually the original Zillyhoo, that went Gamzee ==> Jake ==> Live Tyler ==> John

Andrew updates whenever he has a pack of updates he'd like to post together finished. There's not even a limit that you can say of on which hours he could update, as he sometimes updates while it's in the middle of the night for him.

The only times that he particularly waits to post a flash that he has finished is if a special date is approaching, like 10/25 last year, to post [S] Cascade.

EDIT: I suggest downloading the MSPANotifier. This way you can see whenever a new update has appeared, as long as your computer is on. You can download it here. You can find a lot of macro's for it here.

She and Sollux stayed behind to hold him back. I personally don't think they died, but it's hardly an impossible conclusion.

A simple spriteflip doesn't solve it because it would still be on the opposite hand to what it would be if he was facing that direction. :/
