The funny thing is that the light coming from the fireworks doesn't radiate anywhere. It's all just trapped in there where it originated from. This at once makes it brighter and less effective at lighting, seeing as there is nowhere that the light can go because there is nowhere that it is being allowed to go in this realm of darkness, and since it is not being allowed to go anywhere it is a much brighter point of light, but doesn't allow you to see anything by it. Talk about useless lighting.

Tiger Lily gets up and starts sleepwalking. Her horn glows a little.



Rose Petal wakes up when her sister gets up. She starts following.


The ponies walk down a passageway until it splits. Tiger Lily follows the path to the right, but Rose Petal goes left.
Rose Petal still sees Tiger Lily in front of her, and never saw Tiger Lily go right. Something strange is happening here.
(oh, also, if Shadow Pony is following as well, the Tiger Lily he can see is the one that Rose Petal followed to the left - the one that went right can't be seen right now)

EDIT as reply to below: (only a little - but I'm finally bored enough to start this going. Plus, it shouldn't take too long)
EDIT as response to Strider's post: Well....this will make my plans a little harder to carry out. Not that I wasn't going to put the whole shenanigans into a single post anyway, but I'm not really sure how to actually...do Discord properly. Anyway, I can still manage the plans, they just need a little tweaking and I need to figure out a slightly different way to do the things I was going to do.

He is indeed following, but having been made aware earlier of magical shenaniganary, he extends his senses to include a certain amount of space around him due to his Space Powers, and as such, while momentarily confused in seeing Rose Petal follow the illusion, is able to remain unfooled and continue after the real Tiger Lily. Too bad he still can't see her.

Rose Petal continues following (the illusion of) her sister, not planning to wake her up unless she does something that’ll hurt herself. But suddenly, the illusion dissolves into nothingness.


Tiger Lily, the one who followed the passageway on the right, continues sleepwalking. She is currently undetectable by any normal means, though the Shadow Pony’s space thing still works, but not as well as it usually would. She wanders up to a part of the deck where nobody’s nearby.


She continues wandering until she’s at the edge of the ship, then suddenly wakes up. She’s a bit alarmed that she got so far without Rose Petal gently steering her back to bed like usual. She spins around to hurry back to the room, but –



Tiger Lily comes face-to-face with the Discordbeast, who appeared the moment before she turned. She can’t avoid looking into its eyes, because they were at her level when she spun around. She quickly throws up a shield, but can’t protect herself completely from the effects of the gaze.


Rose Petal is very surprised when her sister suddenly vanishes. Discord! she yelps. She starts galloping back the way she came, only to decide it’s too slow that way.

Oh please don’t be too late....
Luckily, she does not have to fly far before she sees....


Tiger Lily’s shield is only serving to slow the effects of the Discordbeast’s gaze, not prevent it entirely. But she’s hoping someone will take down this beast if she can distract it long enough.


Hey!

She kicks the Discordbeast. You don’t get my sister that easily, you big meanie!


The Discordbeast turns on her angrily. As it turns, it knocks Tiger Lily away with its tail, sending her flying several feet until she crashes hard into a wall.



EDIT: Oh gog why is the Discordbeastsprite so much smaller than the ponies I thought I cropped it the same size. Oh well.
