"Umm, do you mind letting me leave, partially because I want this place is sorta' bland, partially because I shouldn't be here in the first place."
He equips his clocktables.
"Or I could just do fancy time shenanigans and leave that way, your choice."

Shoot. I messed up.

Vix: Ah, you realise it for yourself. Yes, that is a good way to save your sister. Oh dear, can you not here me?

[QofD]

Vix: Well, Rose, carry on. Even if you don't notice me now, I'm sure we'll meet someday.

[QofD]

Vix: Forgive me if you can't always see me. I'm not good with projecting images.
Vix: Rose, dear, Remove your sister before continuing. She might continue turning to stone if you don't get her out of there.

Rose Petal hears an unfamiliar voice. She doesn't have time to properly introduce herself right now, but she can reassure the voice on one point.
Oh no, you only turn to stone while you're looking into it's eyes.

[Strider]

Horrin claps his hands, and then suddenly they are all on the ship again.


This guy teleports Tiger Lily mid-flight, making it so that she won't slam into the wall. Stone can break if it hits something hard enough, after all.
He then turns away from the discord beast which just so happens to be conveniently turned away from him. He fires a beam of destructive red energy at it.
Isn't spacey stuff supposed to be green? Why is his attack red and not green? What even is this?

The Discordbeast is slightly distracted by the attack, sensing it coming. The energy condenses into a thin stream, then forms a little ball thingy, which flashes before turning randomly into a muffin and dropping to the deck.


Rose Petal kicks the Discordbeast again, then issues a challenge.


You want me? Come catch me!


She launches herself into the air, determined to outfly the Discordbeast


The Discordbeast roars and flies after, quickly.


Rose Petal seems to be holding her own though – the Discordbeast is nowhere near her, though its attempting to fly faster and catch up. But it can’t get close and has to resort to staying well behind Rose Petal.


Tiger Lily, magic at the ready, begins decaptchaloguing stuff to hurl at the flying Discord. She knows she won't hit her sister even if she aims right at her - Rose Petal's good at evading things in the air.

[Strider]

Rose Petal seems good for the moment, so the Shadow Pony walks over to Tiger Lily, taking a good look at the petrified parts of her that he can readily see. Hmmmmm...how to make this work....
He closes his eyes and concentrates, willing the unpetrified parts of Tiger Lilies body to exude a greater amount of moisture to be moved directly to the petrified parts and willing the petrified to take in the moisture and become less stony. If this works the way he intends it to, it should somehow reverse the petrification process.

Leumas appears back on the ship... where the ponies are.
"Oh look, it's a hoofbea-HOLYMOTHEROFFRICKINGGOG! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!"

Leumas has seen a number of quite odd things, discordbeast is probably in the top 10.

All Shadow Pony accomplishes is to make the stone parts of Tiger Lily wet. The stone remains stone.
It's a monster from our session, after being prototyped with a statue of the living embodiment of chaos. Tiger Lily explains for the benefit of the blue-text troll.



Rose Petal becomes bored with simply outflying the Discordbeast. She starts doing loops and tricks, and sometimes flying close to give the Discordbeast a kick. Despite her increasing recklessness, the Discordbeast never manages to touch her, let alone hurt her.

"Oh...that actually makes complete sense, anything else I should know before I blindly leap into combat?"
Leumas draws his clockhand sword the game had called "The Edge of Time".

Yeah. Look into its eyes, and you turn to stone.



Finally the Discordbeast is fed up with the little pink pony. He breathes fire at her.



Rose Petal can't entirely evade this shot, because she wasn't expecting the change in strategy. She tries to fly out of the way, but the fireball hits one of her wings as she turns, and starts to burn off a lot of her feathers. This unbalances her enough to make it impossible for her to continue the fancy flying tricks - she starts dropping toward the deck.
She extends her good wing, turning it into a mostly controlled fall.

At least, until the second fireball hits her, still too high above the deck to make a nice landing. Rose Petal shrieks as it hits both wings this time, utterly ruining the wing the first fireball hit, and starting to burn the feathers of the other. She plummets toward the deck, eyes closed, not wanting to see when she hits.



Tiger Lily yells something furiously and attempts to charge to her sister's rescue, but she's temporarily forgotten her hind legs are mostly stone. She can't get more than a few steps. She magically hurls a bunch of debris from her sylladex at the Discordbeast, but they all turn into different rubber duckies.



The Discordbeast dives after Rose Petal.

[Strider]

Darn. He was hoping that that would have worked.
And then clockhand sword. Looks like this guy is a time user.
Excuse me, but would you happen to know how to use your time powers to return something or someone to a previous state?
This is obviously at Leumas. Given that Tiger Lily is partially petrified, it should be pretty obvious what the Shadow Pony has in mind.

"I can, gimme a moment, not that it'll be hard, that things pretty much ignoring me."
Leumas walks over to TL (Tiger Lily) and begins focusing.

"DAMNIT, why is this so hard to reverse?!!"
He puts all his awareness into reversing the stone, essentialy leaving him helpless.

The stone slowly starts to recede.



Rose Petal hits the deck, luckily not hard enough to break anything. Of her wings, one is just a blackened stump (two fireballs to the same wing can totally do that because I said so), and the other is still flaming.
Rose Petal shows no inclination to get up, or move, or do anything.
(also, it's the visible wing that's flaming, I just can't draw fire onto the wing without making it look like crap)



The Discordmonster flies toward the Shadow Pony, deciding to attack the only pony he hasn't yet harmed, even though he's not from the same session.
It produces a water gun out of nowhere and shoots yogurt out of the gun at the Shadow Pony.

Vix: Oh my........ Perhaps I could help? I'll be there in a minute.

A flash of blue light. A trail of yogurt consumed by a single point of space. the light dims. It is a heavy looking seal with a vacuum. It grins.
"a giant abomination that shoots yogurt? Oh my god. You horses fight the weirdest things." says a voice, emerging from a business casual seal. The discord beast roars, failing to notice the hulkish seal emerging from the skies, slamming on top of it's head. The beast is driven into the ship's bow, and pummeled repeatedly by the monstrous beast, deeper and deeper into the hull, becoming a bloodied mass.
"he is all yours, ladies and horned humanoids. 56, we're good. You can stop now."
The seals retire to a vantage point near the site, but out of mind, leaving the heavily injured beast to the others.

Ponies. Not horses. Rose Petal says from the floor. (Insistent Terminology - now official thing Rosie does. Her sister doesn't care what people call them)
Rose Petal still doesn't get up. Her wing is still flaming.



The stone on Tiger Lily is almost gone now.
Well you see, it's not our fault, some idiot colt prototyped a statue of the living embodiment of chaos.
Most of our enemies aren't nearly this weird.

Leumas takes his concentration away for a moment to comment on the situation.
"An embodiment of living anarchy that just happens to shoot yogurt. That. Is. Priceless."

"If he didn't shoot fireballs or turn things to stone, this thing would be harmless, weird, but harmless.
He returns to reversalizing the last bit of stone.
((honestly though, the yogurt made me laugh))

Vix: Allow me to suggest that you do not prototype the other pony's sprite, for the sake of making victory possible. Can you hear me now?

(hehe thanks, the yogurt was the first thing that came to mind)



And now Rose Petal's remaining wing has stopped burning, because almost all of the feathers have now been burned off.
Course, there's still the wing-skin stuff that the feathers grow on, but it's burned pretty bad.



The last bit of stone vanishes and Tiger Lily straightens up.
He's probably weaker because this isn't the world or session he came from. And also it seems our...er...shipmates?...are a lot more powerful than at home.
You didn't see what he did to Ponyville the last time he got loose of his statue, if you had you'd have been pretty worried about it too.
And you also didn't see the devastation in our session...........


Tiger Lily sighs sadly.
He can't normally breathe fire, that's because a dragon was prototyped before he was.
And he doesn't turn ponies into stone, either, normally. That was from the prototyping of a cockatrice, which was before the dragon.
...stupid colts...
(In the [first part of the] MLP episode with Discord as the villain, he explicitly states that he "doesn't turn ponies into stone".)



For some reason, Rose Petal hears the voice, but her sister doesn't. Rose Petal doesn't really understand what the voice is trying to suggest, and she's not even sure it's talking to her.

"So really, when he's here, he's completely harmless, except for the 2 previous prototypings, and you say he turns ponies to stone, so does that mean theoretically he shouldn't be able to harm me, since I'm not a pony?"
((Is it bad that I want either the proto-discord to attack Leumas, or the real Discord to come?))

Vix: Have you tried surrounding yourself with mirrors? I heard that things like turning to stone don't work when you look through mirrors, and no one could sneak upon you. Also, what have you created with the alchemiter?

(I'm perfectly happy with more Discord things, but they're not coming from me. I'm not good at that sort of stuff, really - I just wanted an excuse for Tiger Lily to be turned half into stone and for Rose Petal to be unable to fly)
(So no, it is not bad that you want either of the Discord things to happen)



Well, not completely harmless, he just didn't have a chance to do much of his chaos stuff, that gets pretty bad.
He was too busy turning me into stone and then chasing my sister to do a buncha chaos things.

And as for my teammates.......Well, one of the other ponies was a filly, she didn't get caught up in the stupidity.
But the other three were all colts, and I guess overall for them maybe an 8?
They're at the age where they tend to do a lot of really stupid stuff for the sake of impressing the fillies.
As far as I could gather from what they said after entering, they were having some sort of "who can prototype the most badass thing" contest.




Rose Petal continues listening to the voice. Oh, mirrors! That's . . . wish we'd thought of that in our session, but it was a bit....well....yeah
And the alchemiter stuff.....we never made very much with it, except my sister made some baking-related weaponry.
She says this all out loud, though quietly, as is her habit. Then she suddenly starts wondering about things.
Can...can I ask who you are? if you don't mind of course?

Vix: My name is Vix, and I would like to help you. For now, my advice is that you rest, while Leumas realises that he should fix your wings. At least, I hope he realises it. Oh dear........
