Well, for a while now, I've shipped KarkatJade. Every time I think about it, I can't help but giggle. I just loved their pesterlogs and the ship kind of grew from there.

My favorite is John/Vriska, though I've also become really fond of Jane/UU - Rose/Kanaya is another one of my favorites!

And the one I toss up most on is either DaveTerezi, or DaveTerezi. Both are pretty fantastic.

I mostly voted Rose/Kanaya for the interactions between these two. Even during the Act 4, Rose/Kanaya pesterlogs were a huge pleasure to read, and Kanaya was my favourite troll at the time. One of my friend who liked Homestuck gave me a weakness for it.
Jade/Tavros because Tavros fail wonderfully at being useful to Jade, yet she still forgive him and make good friends.
Vriska/Nic Cage because you can't stop fangirlism.
Jane/UU because Jane is UU's only friend and their last exchange was sweet.

The others ? I hate Dave/Terezi because Terezi only see Dave as the coolkid and nothing else. They would make good friends but... not a good romance.
Vriska/John was sweet and so are their pesterlogs, but it's like John's current attitude towards her : for me, Vriska/John is as dead as the disco and it fell into pure indifference.

@Conspicuous : Haha, yes ! I can't stand this pairing mainly for this reason, among others you have mentioned in the Vriska thread (or the Terezi one). I understand people ship it for other reasons, but the fact Terezi is so blind about Dave's real personalities rubs me off the wrong way.

John x Vriska was a good story with a good ending (Vriska's death), and the pesterlog where Karkat asks John if he liked Vriska was actually a very heart pulling moment.

I have a slight giddy excitement about what John's reaction will be when he finds out Vriska's dead. As long as Hussie doesn't ruin it by having dead Vriska randomly show up and then all of the sudden her death doesn't stop their romance.

Also Rose x Kanaya is kind of a thing, I guess. Maybe it'll actually develop once they get back into the spotlight as characters.

Guys, I'm not trying to be homophobic or really anything other than realistic here, BUT IT NEEDS TO BE SAID.

I don't believe Rose has ever hinted at feeling red towards kanaya. It's never been anything more than one-sided, though Rose has probably teased Kanaya about it, I don't think there's any indication that Rose has ever seriously considered a relationship with Kanaya.

For that matter, I don't think KANAYA has shown red feelings for Rose! Where is the basis for this ship? I mean, they're friendly towards each other, and Kanaya has shown to care about Rose, but she cares about everybody anyway. I simply don't see this ship.

As a disclaimer, though, I'm not trying to tell you guys what to ship. Go ahead. I'm not against it, I'm only against it being considered a canon ship.[...]

Additionally, I don't mind the ship itself, but I am finding a spike in the arrogance, for lack of a better word (and it is the wrong word) of Rose Kanaya shippers since the intermission with Karkat and his possibly-imaginary waggly eyebrows. Just... more people saying "well, you'd better pack up your ships for Rose or Kanaya that are not them with each other - we're canon now so everyone else go home". I fully acknowledge it's not even the majority of shippers, but it's enough to make me very wary of anything Rose/Kanaya.

Also, I'm curious about why people ship the way they do - there's a trend for assuming the humans would be willing to assimilate to troll quadrant format. There's not a lot of anything out there that shows the transition such a radical change in mindset would need. It's kind of my main reason for not concupiscently shipping humans with trolls - quadrants restrict positive emotional closeness or positive physical closeness. A troll doing human romance would also need a mindset readjustment, but you don't see much non-quadrant troll/human shipping.

Kanaya Eridan/Rose (otherwise it becomes EridanRose and EridanRose simultaneously, and that just ain't pleasant; I merge EridanRose with KanayaRose and KanayaEridan to guarantee matespritship stability; this can apply to kismesis if you disagree regarding matespritship possibility, since vacillation is the only reason I'm having Kanaya Auspisticize Eridan and Rose's relationship)
Dave Terezi
Jade Karkat, or Jade Karkat/Karkat (with Jade Karkat being why she bothers Auspisticizing something so heinously one-sided)

Yeah, I think it's pretty clear by now that Vriska's death is not going to be a thing that stops this. And John's total denile of any relationship at all kinda makes that all the more likely.

Rose Kanaya.... ech. It's all blown way out of proportion. If you're going to talk about a ship being "practically canon", it'd be Dave/Terezi (and even then, it isn't). Hell, we barely even know if Rose and Kanaya hang out at all. At least we know Terezi and Dave love to spend time with each other.
