It just occured to me how broken it would be if the main protagonists (calling them that in this case because I'm discussing them pre-establishing themselves as a "team" on their own, and this was back when they managed to co-exist with the trolls and the Strilondes) had Vampire Jade during the Mario intermission. But then again, due to my own limitations in writting and such, Fire John post-IA3 and especially Ice Jade post-... anything, never really did anything through the intermission and probably could have cracked that session wide open too.

I blame the trolls for why the intermission lacked really giving any of the alter egoes depth. It if wasn't for this dumb "make the troll who was the least important in canon become the most important character" gag I thought up, SJAHJ might have never had the trolls in the first place. And since the SJAHJ trolls led to Editaa, which led to Edmund jeering her before the canon Cherubim reveal, this means that it was also very unlikley that there would be the Simpsonians as well. (Which might actually be for the better. I turned Caliborn into a jab at Modern Simpsons and Calliope into a genertic villain.)

So yes, Nepeta really is the cause of EVERYTHING, and I'm officially stating that this now applies even on a meta level. She's the reason for many things, up to and including why this comic was the way it is.

Jake has chased Jade in front of a house.

Given how that house was visible in a few of the previous panels, that is to say that Jake didn't really chase Jade that far at all.

Again, no. But the end of A2A2 is pretty close. Literally all we have is an inverse of the "Pose as a team, because SHIT JUST GOT REAL" thing, where first the Blue and Yellow Team reunites for the first time after the Trifold Battles, THEN shit would really get real.

Jade and Jake step foreward with the negative emeralds because they have, during the short span we WEREN'T focusing on them, called dibs offscreen. Plus there was kind of a limit to how many people can be powered up with just the equivalent of 50 juju rings; that limit is 2 and a half. (Yeah, I know it was established that "multiple healthy people" could be transformed, the specific number wasn't stated.) And while it is perfectly possible for some people (IE Zombie Jade), nobody really wants to chop themselves in half.

I will without a doubt make the second panel into a long gif where the group of seven is teleported in one by one once this comic is finished and I do my great go-back-and-rid-the-typoes ret con.

It seems that the Prospitians and Dersites have found their way to the planet's core and are duking it out. This is where you will make your move.

...And the last two panels are pretty much the start of the final scene of A2A2. Less than 20 panels left! And this time, I mean it.

So today I finally went to the B&YT template and replaced all of their placeholder shirt icon colors with their real colors. And some other changes, like the horns for the Blue Demon and Red Demon Jades.

So, yeah. I'm just going to come out and say it. Act 2 Act 2 is my absolute least favorite subact in the entire comic so far (though I'm pretty sure that "so far" doesn't apply; it would take a lot for me to hate A2I2, A2A3, and A3 more than that.) It was rushed as all hell, the arcs really dragged on and clashed horribly, there was little humor, I really lazied-up in the drawing -- even more than usual -- and there were supposed to be huge milestone moments (the Trifold Battles and the ending being two that come to mind), but they were all handled very terribly and anticlimatically. To make it worse, a lot of promise was offered yet when the moment finally came it was executed in a really disapointing manner.
