So my part in this will have to wait about a week at least, to see if the laptop is fixable. Go ahead and add me, though.

I find it hilarious that it is apparently unthinkable for more than ~20 people to have an interest in a course that has recently been publicized heavily in the student newspaper. I'm in the second registration group (first up is honors students, then it goes by number of completed credits. I'm 26 away from graduation)

Come on, if you're going to publicize the thing make sure you can accommodate at least a FEW people (more than 20 or so out of 25,000). At least have more than one section.


EDIT: Instructor added two more slots. I managed to get one of them, so now I guess this is a FTFO in the opposite direction. But apparently he's the only guy teaching it so it's hard to get in, I guess? Especially with the recent influx of interest from the newspaper article.

Honestly, I expect quite a few people to drop it in the first week after the work needed in the course sets in. Sign language isn't just waving your hands around all day. >_>

In less dramatic news, I just spent a whole lot of money today, something I rarely do due to frugality, to upgrade my 3DS to an XL model. After spending half the day buying it, a case and screen protectors, then the other half finishing assignments, I finally turn it on to play the new Layton game.

Imagine my surprise when none of the buttons or touch screen worked. Despite my best efforts, I am now the proud owner of a bricked 3DS XL. Everything is fucking terrible.
