Ivysaur is the 1st stage pokemon of a good stage 2 pokemon. It's existence is doesn't matter. As in the videogame you can't use Ivysaur in a Little Cup tournment and a Venusuar is too much better than an ivysaur cause ivysaur is a sun sweeper and not a tank so evolite ivsaur is bad. In card game I'll just rare candy my bulbasuar to an ivysaur even with the new crappy rules for rare candy (that is off course assuming their was a legal or even a good venusaur card for competive play. AS their isn't) In the show Ash's bulbasur never evolves (To my knowledge) proving that ivysaur is a pointless pokemon. Ivysaur shouldn't exist.

THis was totally not another defence this is purely my legit reasoning, totally.
