Re: Let's Play Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword

I always assumed that the game was telling you 'hey, guess what? For doing such a good job, everything that happens in Sword of Seals is your fault.' I mean, it talks about how Bern and Etruria went to war over that guy, and guess what happens in Sword of Seals? Bern and Etruria go to war.

I mean, that's not really the reason, but I always imagined it as such.

heh that's actually an entertaining thought

also you know what would make LPs and just everyone's ability to enjoy things easier? if IS made (3)DS remakes/imports of all the games between 2 and 8 or 9

3ds Sword of seals would be nice because maybe it's just me but emulator controls annoy me

Then again, I suppose since you're directly involved in keeping Zephiel alive, everything in Sword of Seals IS your fault. Though you'd think Zephiel would remember Hector and Eliwood. OH WELLZ.

Also, they'd never import 4, if only because among all the rampant implied incest, there's a brother and sister unquestionably committing full-fledged incest as a major plot point. So uh... yeah.

Re: Let's Play Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword

    6) I TOLD YOU MAN! I TOLD YOU ABOUT BANDITS!

Now, she rushes for the border of Bern.

And the slaughter of more incoming bandits.

Lyn: Once we cross, we'll be safe from the bandits, right?

Wil: We should be. I doubt they'll be willing to pursue us across the border.

Sain: Lycia at last! It's been a long time. Tomorrow, we'll dine on a feast of Lycia's finest foods! And the mistress of the inn at the crossing is said to be a beauty. Ah, yes... Food and love. No better way to restore a man's soul! This is going to be a fine evening, eh, Kent?

Kent: If your behavior is as deplorable as ever, we'd best stay elsewhere. We're not here for sightseeing!

Sain: Oh, come now! That's not fair!

Lyn: Kent, the inn will be fine.

Sain: Lyndis! You are truly an angel from on high!

    Lyn: It's nothing. Forget it.

Florina: Ah! We'll finally be able to get a good night's sleep.

You just had to say it, Lyn.

Wil: What? Not again! They're still after us?

    Never doubt, Wil. Never doubt.

Yet another bandit: Heh heh heh. Don't think you're getting away so easily!

Ratface that I didn’t bother taking a screenshot of: You leave alive, and everyone'll think the Ganelon Bandits have gone soft!

Lyn: We must get to Lycia! Get in our way, and you'll pay!

Yet another bandit: Cheeky little thing, aren't you? Let's get 'em lads! And no holding back just 'cause there's women with 'em. Wipe 'em out!

    That’s…um…extremely underwhelming.

    Hey, a new face.

    And another one!

Priestess: What's your point, Erk? What are you trying to say?

Erk: ...I swear, you are NOT the woman I agreed to escort...

Priestess: What? What's that supposed to mean?

Erk: I heard someone was needed to escort a frail Lycian priestess to Ostia...

Priestess: Yes, and I'm that priestess.

Erk: Frail? You? Serra, you have no need of any escort to protect you. Even the most hardened criminal would flee in terror after five minutes in your company. I'll return your money. Gladly. Now will you please go on to Ostia alone?

    …DAMN, Erk.

Serra: NO! You're MY escort, Erk! MINE! You're so clean and tidy. A noblewoman like myself can't be seen without a proper escort. Your personality's nothing special, but you're not bad to look at.

And Erk continues to burn Serra. Not that she minds.

Erk: And I have to take you all the way to Ostia? I only hope my nerves can endure the journey.

Serra: What are you mumbling about? You're so gloomy! Hm? Something's happening over there. Let's take a look!

Erk: Ah. Of course. The first opportunity to get involved in trouble, and she jumps right in. No amount of money is worth this. Hoo...

Serra: Erk! Take a look! Fighting those bandits... It's a young girl!

Erk: Fool! Keep your voice down!

    To put it mildly.

Erk: Ah... This is so wrong...

Ratface: Gyaaa! I'll take care of you with one swift stroke!

Serra: Eeeeeeek! Eeeeeek! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! Erk! Help me!

Erk: So...loud... Serra! Behind me! You there! See if you can match me!

Well, despite everything else that’s been happening, that turned out well enough.

Lyn: Look, Gin! Someone's over there!

Alright, this is the map of the chapter and it’s beyond easy. Seriously, we outnumber these bandits after we recruit Serra and Erk. So let’s go get them with Lyn.

Lyn: Why are you fighting these bandits?

    Erk: ...It just happened.

Serra: That's not true! Those ruffians thought that we were with you! You got us into a terrible situation! Now, how are you going to get us out?

Erk: Serra, if you'd not been so meddlesome, this all could have been avoided. My apologies. Please trouble yourself with us no more.

Lyn: But...if you're going to have to fight anyway, shouldn't we team up? It will end things faster, right?

Serra: That's true. Yes! That's a good idea! Erk! Go and help those ladies.

    Erk: But I... Fine.

Lyn: Very good. My name's Lyn. So tell me, will you join arms with us?

Serra: Yes, we'd be glad to. My name is Serra. This is my escort, Erk. Be a good boy, and go fight now, Erk.

I would feel for you, buddy, if we didn’t get just get two units.

    Oh hai.

Serra: I'm Serra. Nice to meet you. By the way, see this contrary mage here with me? His name is Erk. I think he's been hurt. I am Erk's employer. "Master," I suppose you could say. What I'm getting at is... I was thinking of healing him free of charge. I know, I know. I'm generous to a fault.

Serra: Anyway, that's the deal. Please direct me to him.

    Welp. Serra, I guess.

We have Serra heal Erk, putting him back in top-notch condition. Her Heal Staff heals [Magic] + 10 by the way.

    Next we command Erk.

Erk: If I'm going to fight, however, I will show you the true power of magic!

Well I’d like to show you the true power of stats and growth rates:

We have Erk finish up the archer. Kent, Sain, and Wil head north. Lyn and Dorcas head east. Florina flies over the lake to deal with the mercenary. Let’s end the turn there.

Enemy’s turn now. The brigand from the north goes for Kent, but ends up being doubled in the face by a sword. Mercenaries attack Erk and Florina, but they both miss.

Counter attack time! Erk deals with the mercenary and ends him.

Florina pulls off an unnecessary critical on her mercenary.

Wil makes up for his previous level with this one, after dealing with the brigand from the north.

We move everyone further east now, ending our turn there.

On the enemy’s turn, not much happens. A brigand approaches Sain, but misses and gets hit in the face with a sword.

Alright, our turn. We move everyone towards the boss. Erk takes care of the brigand.

He gets an okay level out of it.

We send Sain to lance the archer near the armory, getting a meh level. At least he’s fulfilling his quota for speed.

Enemy’s turn involved archer doing zero damage on Sain.

We send Erk to punish him for that. Also Florina heads to the armory to grab a pair of javelins.

    Alright, boss time.

Again, this boss is stupidly easy. One, he doesn’t move. Two, he parked his ass next to a forest tile. Three, we have a mage to deal with his 0 Resistance.

We send in Dorcas to handaxe him in the face.

Then Lyn hits him twice with her sword.

    And Florina finishes him off.

Superb. If this keeps up, Florina’s going to shape to be a fine contender for late game.

Serra: What a surprise. You are very strong, Lyn.

Lyn: Your staff is a wondrous thing. Healing powers amaze me.

Serra: Only those in the service of good can wield them.

Lyn: You helped us tremendously. Well, it's time for us to go.

Serra: Take care, Lyn. Goodbye, Lyn.

    Erk: Goodbye.

Sain: What have we here? Another wildflower? Perhaps a butterfly? What an absolutely delectable creature.

Ah, the ever predictable Sain. I see where this is going.

    Sain: Please, call me Sain.

Serra: I'm Serra. I serve House Ostia.

Sain: Serra... What a lyrical name. I am in service to Castle Caelin.

Serra: Oh! So is Lyn a member of the marquess's family?

Sain: She is the granddaughter of our lord, the marquess.

Serra: Hmmm... Such an important person.

Erk: Serra... What deviousness are you contemplating now?

Serra: Tee hee! Having a person of power in your debt is never a bad thing!

    Erk: You can't be serious...

Serra: Oh, Sain! Do you think we could join the lady Lyndis's company? She seems like such a nice person, and I would ever so much like to help her.

Sain: Of course! We couldn't be happier! Why, we were only just saying how we needed some more fighting power!

Serra: Are you being hunted or something?

Sain: Yes, it's an inheritance dispute. Assassins everywhere.

We’ve only dealt with one assassin group. From Chapter 1. And even then they were still bandits.

Serra: Oh my! In that case, my healing staff and Erk's magic should come in handy.

Erk: Well, I, er... It sounds...dangerous...

Sain: Your staff and magic would be extremely helpful! Please wait here! I will go and speak with Lady Lyndis on your behalf.

    Erk: Unbelievable...

Serra: This is fantastic, Erk! Our good deeds will earn us gratitude beyond imagining!

    Poor Erk.

This scenery needs a dramatic thunder boom. Not that this is the villain’s castle or anything.

Soldier: Yes, Lord Lundgren. She's en route to Araphen...

Lundgren: Fool! Send out soldiers to meet her! Hold nothing back! Do anything to finish this now! First the old man, and now the girl... They cling to life like a drowning man to a rock! Double the poison's strength! If he struggles, hold him down and pour it down his throat! Once the girl is gone, Caelin is mine.

    MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    sorry

Next up: …what do you think? Bandits. But we have a change in scenery at least!

Yes! Erk! Bad level up! Boo! And everything about Florina in this update is just beautiful.

Also I've seen some people talk about how Serra is amazing because of her Mag growth, which is one area she solidly beats the later healer in. For pure % points she actually has about the same growths as that other healer, according to the wiki.

more importantly, Serra promotes to Bishop, and if you want a Bishop our Monk who we get... in two chapters is infinitely superior

For example having lots of good supports and so on

ALSO GIN! will you be arena abusing or going for clean run?

The true superior option is to use Serra AND Lucius and have them support each other.

but then you either have to waste a Guiding Ring you could have used on Priscilla, Erk or Canas OR an earth seal when you get one

also it takes like 200 uses of a heal stave to get from level 1 to 20 (100 w/Mend) and doing that twice NO THANKS...

For this mode I'm running it clean. You know what mode I will arena abuse on though.

And the answer to that is FUCK STRATEGY, YOU NEED THAT C SUPPORT.

I'm with Arms here and I don't even know what that C support is like. Now I'm gonna go look it up to be even more certain. Also waiting for a promoted unit that isn't Pent to use your staves is silly because they start at, what, D? Waiting until promotion time to raise up past that is hard.

The Lucius/Serra C Support is arguably the best support conversation in the entire series.

Re: Let's Play Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword

I always consider Lucius the best magic unit anyway, personally, partly for the reason Dais pointed out. iirc, Canas/Erk start with E in staves, while Lucius starts with C, but mostly because he's almost guaranteed to have a great speed/str/res, which are the only stats I care about him having. Erk's stat growths are a little shaky in comparison, and Canas joins at a bit of a low level/ends up too slow, especially considering Flux is the only tome he can use without losing like 5+ speed.

And while I'm still not necessarily in agreement, I think the general consensus of the people cooking numbers on the "tier lists" is that if you use Lyn's mode, Serra > Priscilla because of the levels she gets before Priscilla joins. I forget if this concept was primarily regarding ranked runs, but the bottom line is

    get that C support.

Oh, he gets a C in staves to start? That's not so bad then. I mean it doesn't compare to Pent's A but it certainly doesn't hurt Lucius's standing, and I can't argue that Lucius doesn't have far better stats than Pent. I never use monks though for some reason. Or Serra for that matter.

Re: Let's Play Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword

True, Priscilla starts with a higher staff level, but for one neither healer is going to have a lot of trouble with getting that high unless you commit them to pure combat after promotion or something. Also Serra should at the very least have the same staff level as Priscilla by the time you recruit later on, probably better, if you use Lyn's mode. It takes, what, abut 35 uses to get from D to C? Serra can easily get there by the time Priscilla shows up.
I was arguing about why you should use at least one of them and not rely on a Sage/Druid/Bishop(though I've been corrected about Lucius) as your healer. Because starting with an E in staves that late in the game is suicide.

Sorry, I thought you were implying/suggesting that earlier. You were talking about Lucius though who I didn't realize got a C in staves to start so it's not as terrible an idea. Seems to me like it'd even be a pretty acceptable strategy as long as you use another healer until then and drop them at a convenient time.

Re: Let's Play Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword

    7) Casual Fantasy Racism not from Path of Radiance

Lycia is a federation of territories, each one ruled by a powerful marquess. Now, Lyn takes her leave of one of these territories, Araphen, and sets out to meet her grandfather, the marqess of Caelin.

Sain: This? This is Araphen. After Ostia, it's the second-biggest city in Lycia.

Lyn: The second biggest, hm? It does seem awfully busy. By the way, where's Kent?

Sain: He said he was going ahead to the castle, but... Ah, here he comes now.

Kent rides up to us. On the left side on the screen however, there’s a suspicious green unit coming up.

Kent: They've prepared supplies for us. The marquess has agreed to aid us on our journey to Caelin. Araphen and Caelin have enjoyed a sturdy friendship for many years, and once I informed the marquess of our plight, he agreed to lend us his strength.

Sain: Looks like we've got a smooth road ahead!

    Hahahaha. No.

Kent: If we could pick up some soldiers, the road to Caelin would be that much safer. I'm truly sorry for hardships you've suffered so far.

Lyn: Don't be silly. You are so capable, Kent.

    Sain: Kent!?

Lyn: Hm? Oh, and so are you Sain.

    Sain: Of course I am!

Sain: What did you say? What's happening?

Generic Village Man: Smoke! From the castle! Hey! What are those men doing?

We’re jinxed, I tell you. Jinxed.

Bandit: You! You're Lyndis, aren't you?

    Lyn: Ah! What do you-

    Bandit: No questions! Prepare yourself!

Eh, he’s no problem. Take him down, Lyn-

Or some dude on a horse named Rath could shoot him with a critical hit. That works too.

    Lyn: What? An arrow?

    Rider: …..

    Lyn: Who are-

    Kent: Are you all right?

Lyn: I'm fine. He... This man saved me.

You would have taken 6 damage, tops.

Kent: May I ask your name?

    Rath: …

Lyn: Wait! Why did you help me?

Rath: I thought a Sacaean plainswoman was being attacked. I was mistaken.

Lyn: No, you were right! I am from Sacae. I'm Lyn, the daughter of the Lorca chieftain.

Rath: The Lorca? There were survivors? You should leave at once. A blaze has started in the castle, and it's spreading. Don't be foolish and waste the life I just saved.

Lyn: You're from the castle? What's happening? How severe is the fire? Is the marquess safe?

Rath: The castle is under attack, and the marquess has been accosted. The man who attacked you was probably one of the marauders. As the captain of the castle guard, it's my duty to rescue the marquess.

Lyn: I see. All right then, we'll help you.

    Rath: Why?

Lyn: These brigands are after me. If they're attacking the castle, it's because of me, so I must help if I can...

Rath: It sounds like you're involved somehow... Let's go.

Rath: Our tribes may be different, but I will not abandon a woman of the Sacae.

Lyn: Thank you, Rath! A thousand blessings upon you!

Rath: And a thousand curses upon our enemy!

    Lyn: Come!

    MURDER TIME!

Well, after the guy in green runs into the north village of course.

Woman: What are you doing in my house?!

???: Your home offers a good view of the battle outside. Look, I'll pay you for the privilege. Please.

Woman: Like a vulture waiting for the spoils, eh? Terrible! Pay up! I'll be hiding below, so don't bother me.

???: I wouldn't dream of it. Now then, which side has the most to offer?

Well, he sounds like a potential ally. We’ll visit him later.

    Rath: Perhaps the secret passageway…

    Lyn: Secret passageway?

Rath: There's an underground tunnel leading to the throne room. There are triggers in the barracks that will open the tunnel.

Lyn: Head through the passage to the throne room…and rescue the marquess. Once that's done, can you drive the enemy from the castle?

Rath: Mmm…If we can release those triggers, my men and I can handle the rest. There are three triggers though, and all three need to be released or the entrance won't open.

Lyn: But the doors to the barracks are locked.

Rath: The enemy's within. If we don't get inside and finish them, we're stuck.

Lyn: So opening these doors is our first objective.

Lyn: We don’t have any keys with us. Perhaps some of the marauders are carrying keys...

    Alright, it’s showtime!

Not a very big map, but most of it is still hidden away from sight. Like the last map, we actually outnumber the enemies here. So this map is piss-easy.

First, let’s take a look at Mr. Ellipses here, our new unit:

Our first order of business is to send Lyn to the village where our next ally is waiting.

    Lyn: Who are you?

Matthew: I'm Matthew, a specialist in acquisitions of all kinds. Would you like to buy my services?

Lyn: I've no need for a thief.

Matthew: Really? And how do you plan on opening the barrack doors?

Lyn: What? How did you know about-

    Matthew: Bullseye!

    Lyn: …..

Matthew: Don't be mad. Hire me. For you, I'll even lower my normal rate.

Lyn: I do need those doors opened... OK. You're hired. Why did you choose to ally yourself with me?

Matthew: I was watching the battlefield from above. Your group looked like a lot more fun than the dead guy. Pretty simple really.

    Lyn: You're so odd.

Matthew: Time to get to work!

    Well, that was surprisingly hassle-free.

    Matthew: I’m Matthew.

    Hi, Matthew.

Matthew pops open the first door. Looks like there’s that switch Rath was talking about.

    So let’s send Rath there.

That opens up the main hallway of the castle. Say, is that a treasure chest?

Going back to the main group, we send Erk and Wil to take care of the southern mercenary. Florina and Sain take care of the second mercenary. The rest begin to head east. We have Dorcas visit the only other village with a reward.

Villager: You're mercenaries, right? Can't you do something? Huh? You can't get the barracks open? I bet a thief with a set of picks could open any door you needed. Hold on, I may have something here to help you... Here it is! This is it, one door key. Here! No charge. Now go get those thugs, will you?

That’s handy. Now we don’t have to send Matthew all the way down. We end our turn there. Nothing happens on the enemy’s turn. Back to us now.

    Yeah, everybody saw it already.

Matthew: Say, Gin! Since we came all this way, what say we help ourselves? Huh? What do you mean, "No"? Don't be such a bore. If you want to win, you’ve got to use every means at your disposal. That’s an ironclad rule! Yeah, I know stealing's bad. I'm well aware of that. But we're saving the marquess, right? Let's just call this an advance on our reward.

I’m all for rewards! Let’s do this!

    Hell yeah.

Matthew: This is good for those of us on the…less robust side. Like me, for example. Magic items like this that increases one’s abilities vanish after being used. Give them to people who need them most. But don’t fret too much about it, or you’ll never use them. Simply holding on to a useful item does no one any good.

The Angelic Robe increase a unit’s HP by 7. Like Matthew just said, it’s good for fragile units. Angelic Robes are REALLY rare, so we’re going to hold on to it later. Later being next chapter.

Sain takes out the door guard with a critical. Florina flies over to Dorcas to get the door key and passes it over to Sain.

Nothing happens on the enemy’s turn.

Next turn, Florina hands Sain the key, and he unlocks the door.

The tile, unlike the previous one, is actually protected by a soldier! Well, not competently of course, because Erk doubles his ass.

Matthew takes out the last soldier on the northeast, though he gets injured in the process. He gets a door key in the process though.

Sain waits on the next tile, revealing the final room of the boss and an archer. Yes, that’s the rest of the enemies. Short chapter, isn’t it?

We have Serra heal Matthew. There’s also a bonus conversation here, by the way:

Serra: Someone’s staring at me! It must be some poor fool who’s smitten with me. Alas, my beauty has rendered him speechless. Ah, I’m so cute it’s almost criminal!

    …um. Matthew?

Matthew: I cannot let HER find the passageway…

It seems that these two are more than they look.

Matthew pops open another door with the key he just got. Hey lookie there, another chest! On our next turn we pop that chest open.

    I like swords!

Matthew: Armorslayers are useful against knights in armor. You want to know something? You need to give weapons to those who can wield them. Otherwise, it’s just a waste of a perfectly good weapon. Take this blade. I mean, I can use it, but…I’m not too strong, and…I just hate being counterattacked. Anyway, think strategically about who you give weapons to.

Armorslayers are obviously “effective” against knights. Unfortunately, we don’t have anyone who can use it effectively. It’s also heavy as hell with a Weight of 11. I think this is here to use against the boss, but we already have the Mani Katti.

    Speaking about the boss:

What kind of name is “Bool”? Anyway, this is our first knight boss. Knights are walking tanks: high defense, but slow as hell. ANYONE on our team could double him. We could send Erk to take him out, but he’s at the bottom. Nevertheless, he’s still an easy boss without him.

Bool: When did you arrive? No matter. I shall deal with you.

We send in Wil to plink off 6 HP. Then Dorcas comes in, doubling with a handaxe.

Then Lyn finishes this chapter with style.

No levels this chapter. That kind of makes me feel sad.

    Rath: If I press this…

And we’re in the clear! Chapter complete!

Lyn: Good work! We'll let Rath take over from here.

Re: Let's Play Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword

This guy doesn’t look like a prick at all. Not at all.

Rath: Sir…if you have praise, it should be given to this group.

    Prick: Hm? Who are you?

Lyn: My name is Lyndis. I'm pleased to see you're well.

Prick: Oh...It's you. You're Marquess Caelin's- Leave us Rath. I would speak with this girl.

    Rath: …..

Prick: Do you know the identity of those responsible for this uproar?

Lyn: I believe it to be the work of my granduncle, Lundgren.

Prick: That's exactly right. Which means my castle has been damaged in your family's petty inheritance dispute.

    Lyn: My...My apologies...

Prick: When I heard Lady Madelyn's daughter was in trouble, I thought to lend my assistance... I find I've changed my mind. I withdraw my offer.

Really, Kent? You didn’t see this coming at all?

Prick: ...Your name is Kent, is it not? You failed to inform me of one most vital detail!

Kent: What... What do you mean?

Prick: This girl does resemble Lady Madelyn, but...

Spoilers: we’re not getting any aid, because this guy is a racist douche.

    Lyn: What!?!

Prick: Don't you feel the marquess of Caelin would be troubled to meet this...nomadic mongrel?

    Sain: You-!

Kent: Sain! Hold! My apologies, my lord Marquess.

Prick:: Hm…Your man is poorly disciplined.

Kent: Marquess Araphen! Please…If you would grace us with your aid…

Prick: …..I hear Marquess Caelin is ill and abed. I question whether he will survive to meet this girl, in which case his brother, Lundgren, will claim his title. And I certainly wish to avoid trouble with the coming marquess.

    Sain: You scheming…

    Kent: Sain!

Lyn: I understand. Kent, Sain, we take our leave at once.

    Kent: Milady Lyndis! We-

Lyn: I am proud of the Sacae blood that runs through my veins.

Sain: Don't worry about anything. We're all here for you! Isn't that so, Kent?

    Kent: I beg your forgiveness.

Lyn: Why are you apologizing, Kent?

Kent: I've been so concerned with seeing you to Caelin, I failed to take your feelings into account.

Lyn: Is that it? Trouble yourself no more. You have put my safety above all else. I have seen that…Hold your head up and be proud.

    Kent: Milady Lyndis…

    Hypocrite, much?

Prick: If she had but shed a single tear, I would have granted her request. We Lycian nobles will never understand those prideful savages.

Oh. I see where this is going.

Rath: Are those your true feelings toward the nomads of Sacae, milord?

Prick: What? Oh, Rath! I didn't see you there. My comments do not reflect on you. You are my captain, I'm proud of your service.

Rath: Of course. As long as we bend our knee to you, you care not where we're from. But when an equal comes from my lands? What conceit.

Prick: Rath! How can you speak to me like that? I have treated you well, have I not? I have paid you well, treated you far better than your kind deserves.

How to completely alienate an angry soldier; brought to you by a racist prick.

    Good riddance.

Lyn: He said my grandfather was ill. We must hurry to Caelin...

Kent: As we approach Caelin, Lundgren's obstacles will be more difficult to overcome. However, I've vowed to see you through to the end, milady!

Lyn: I’m counting on you, Kent.

    Sain: I'm with you, too!

Lyn: Thank you, Sain. Gin... Thank you for always standing at my side. It's because of all of you that I... I will persevere! They will never break my spirit!

Lyn: Rath! What is it? What are you-

Rath: I overheard the marquess talking to himself. Lyn of the Lorca... Proud daughter of the Sacae... I would join you. I would add my strength to yours.

    Lyn: Really?

Rath: And this... I want you to take it.

Lyn: This is... Gold!? It's too much. I can't accept it.

Rath: I have no need for it. And if it will help you...

    Lyn: But…

Rath: I cannot take back something once offered.

Yay! Gold! We’re no longer poor!

Next up: We stop fighting bandits. No really. We do.

    --

    VOTING TIME!

Yes, this is where you, the readers, get a say on this LP!

We have this new ANGELIC ROBE, which we might as well put to use now. We can give to anyone, but it’s really optimal if we give it to someone that’s a bit fragile.

So the following units are exempt:
    Kent
    Sain
    Dorcas
    Rath

We’re going to pick up two more units, both who are good candidates for the robe. So SAY WHAT UNIT GETS THE ROBE or TELL ME TO HOLD IT ON FOR LATER. Remember, we have a limited time to use this Angelic Robe!

Lucius' crap defense could make him a good choice.

Erk, unless you're planning to use Lucius and not Erk in which case HOLD it for now.
It's hard to say because I don't know who you're planning on using later. Or if you're just going to put that up to a vote or three as well.

Also I never realized Rath only ad a 10% Def growth. I was trying to figure out how 50% Str and Spd was 'not good' until I noticed that.

I'm leaning towards Florina or Lucius/Erk (whichever you plan on using more). The magic user because of the whole terrible defense thing, Florina because she's probably going to be up in close combat and would have more immediate need of the HP.
