New Kid (Thread: 2)

> choke him. the neck should be an easy target.

The Giraffe starts to run faster.
You and your sister are slightly surprised by the change in speed and are unsure of what to do.
Someone has to do something though.
It might as well be you!



You drop the key.


And throw your arms into the air.
AROL has protected you and saved your skin, you forgot how many times already.
Time for you to protect her for a change.


You leap into the air and throw your arms around the giraffe's long neck, squeezing as hard as you can in an attempt to choke him.


AROL jumps in to help you!
The giraffe staggers back, flailing his arms about and gasping for air.


But his struggle is fruitless.


He begins to black out.




The giraffe now lies on the floor.
Not dead, only unconscious.
You still feel bad for him though.
"Kate: Yeesh... We should go before he wakes up. We still have to find that stupid key the bird was talking about."


You pick the key up off the floor and show it to everyone.
You're fairly sure this is the key you were looking for.
"Kate: Hey, where did you find that- Wait, what happened to your arm?!"


AROL begins yelling at you, demanding to know how you received your injury.
Even if you could talk right now, it wouldn't do you any good.
You've completely forgotten how you got it!
To be honest, for a moment you forgot your arm was bleeding at all.
AROL rages for a couple minutes and calms down when she remembers you can't speak at the moment.


AROL takes the key from you and starts walking down the hall and towards the stairs.
The group follows her.
"Kate: Forget it, we'll get your arm patched up later. Right now we should just go back to the bird and not hang around the giraffe."


You pass by lots of doors, but you stop walking when one in particular catches your eye.

I've really enjoyed this adventure!

That's super fantastic Solaris, thanks a bunch!
(Especially because I can't actually update the mirror myself.)
Anyway, I'm glad you've enjoyed it!

Umm... I don't remember when I started reading, but it is now 3:19 in the morning. I was supposed to be typing some pages for school on Monday so I can finish today and start a Latin project due Tuesday, when I have standardized testing, but I only typed half a paragraph. This adventure is great and awesome and beautiful so +1 reader.

Dang! Did you read it all in one sitting?
I don't know if I should feel really happy or guilty that I'm responsible for procrastination on school work.
But, either way, glad you like it!



And thank you SNeakyRobot for pointing out that the walls are indestructible.
And I just noticed, you've been reading since this adventure was literally brand new, which was ages ago.
Seriously, I remember you posting way back when Mark was nameless.
So I guess, thanks for sticking around so long.

You knock on the door, but no one answers.


"Kate: Lora, we're leaving. Let's go."


You grab the doorknob and turn it.
The door isn't locked.


"Kate: What are you doing!?"
"Fuzz: Don't open that!"


You open the door before anyone can stop you.
Geez, it's dark in here.
Someone cut on the lights!




The room is a little messy, but it actually looks completely normal.

You walk over to the desk.
There are papers scattered all over it.


These appear to plans to kill you.


But this one stands out.


It's not a malicious plot of any kind.
Is that the girl who stole your voice?

Kate: grab Lora and GET OUT OF THERE.

Before you can get any more snooping in, your sister bursts into the room.
"Kate: Lora!! Get out of here right now!"

AROL grabs you and forcefully drags you out of the room.
"Kate: We are leaving, NOW."
You flail your arms around and snatch the scarf hanging on the closet door as you're being pulled away.


The party makes it's way back to the crow in the cage.
Despite your temper tantrum.
"Kate: Alright, if my sister is through almost killing herself, we have your key."


"Crow: Oh, so you actually came back! Well it took you long enough."


"Kate: You're welcome..."
"Crow: C'mon, c'mon, hurry it up!"


Just as you unlock the cage the crow busts out, flapping his wings furiously.
"Crow: Ah haaa! I've fooled you! Did you actually think I would just GIVE you the key-"




The crow has been defeated.
You obtained the key!
"Kate: I've had JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF THIS. Lora, we're getting your voice back, so we can finish this dumb game and go home!"


Once again, your party travels back up the stairs.
With AROL leading the way of course.
You make caution when passing the giraffe.
Who is thankfully still unconscious.
"CC: BLYEHH."


You reach the locked door.
You can hear the sound of a piano and your own voice from behind it.
AROL unlocks the door and opens it.


The girl inside pauses for a second to look up at you.
She looks back at the piano and continues her song.
