well i hear that in potentially life threatening situations, your body doesnt react immediately to the pain and gives you some sort of painkiller so that you can at least reach assistance without becoming crippled by intense bouts of pain. yeah im sure once that wore off it would probably hurt more on account of how long the pain lasts and the such. but instantaneously.... maybe? i dunno. it's not something id like to experiment with. and plus i dunno how serious im really being here
