Wouldn't it be smarter to just look at the post dates and just ignore everything after the final day? This way the authors can keep updating their adventures.

Dude, scrutinizing post dates for 20-odd adventures? That is far too much like hard work!

Also where would the inflated sense of self importance come from if I can't boss anyone around?

I don't think reading the post dates is a hard task. It literally just adds one second to reading it.
Also that is quite a bit rude sounding! v _v

You didn't expect judging an adventure contest to require effort? 0:
Even a polite request for people to put a big banner saying "this was the last update before the deadline" would be a better solution I think.

Or we could just... respect his decisions as the person running the contest, and not update for a little while.

Re: MSPAFA Chat 8: Always Practice Good Posterization

It just seems extraordinarily counter-intuitive to me to tell people to stop updating an adventure
Especially when every post is labelled with the date anyway >_>

Meh, I'll probably do it differently next contest. I am constantly tweeking the rules and stuff for each one! I'll hone it eventually...

That banner idea sounds particularly good, actually! Maybe I'll draw some pretty banner-art for it, to use in the Autumn contest.

Why can't they use one now?

Here is one that could work.

Re: MSPAFA Chat 8: Always Practice Good Posterization

Alright fine I'll use that. Another judgement just got sent, so there's only 2 judges left to vote now!

EDIT: Done and done. The banner has been spread, and my post count has climbed as a happy bonus!

So excited about the results! I really hope some of them continue after the competition...

Also, I heard you get forum-related superpowers once your post count breaks four digits.

    Tell me that it's trueeeeeeee

I tell ya, having 4 digits in your post count is a huge responsibility. These secret mod powers aren't a funtime plaything, they're srs bzns.

I wouldn't call them mod powers, just ≥4 digit powers; who knows what awesome powers the mods get.

All power comes with a price.

This is what I look like now.
Do you know how hard it is to clean eye blood from every shirt I own?

I knew a guy whose pose count reached six digits.

He just disappeared right at one hundred thousand. Nobody knows what happened.
